    Couchies!

Nice place, voices kind of echo as I listen to my zoom call. It's a chatty place. I love that they serve Illy coffee. Wow wow. It's the drip and espresso. I forgot to ask what other coffee brand they serve. Illy is my favorite if I'm not getting Sumatra or Nicaragua coffees. I've not ever seen Illy in a coffee shop... I've usually gotten it in high end hotels or bought bags at expensive bougie high end specialty grocery stores. I love the seating couch areas they have so I always feel lucky getting a couch spot. They have a small book library so bring your extra books to drop off !! I love this place so much so I'll add a few books in the little blue cabinet at the back area. Nice wrap around outdoor patio too! Lots to love at kickstand. They serve food and a variety of pastries.

We got the cold brew, the Matcha latte, and the golden milk for our toddlers to share. We all loved our drinks. And that was the first time I've had golden milk, and omg it was so delicious, kids love it. We loved it!! lol. Also, they have two high chairs there which is great. They also have beer and seltzers there

A quick bite at a kute Kafé. The service was quick and workers were helpful. I got the turkey bacon Brie sandwich and I enjoyed it so much to my surprise. The jam spread went so well with the Brie. Every bite was so good. The croissant sandwich was also enjoyable and fueled us for the morning.

We stopped in before heading out to snowbowl az and it was perfect! I had a dirty chai with oat milk and it was so good my friend went back after to get the same thing! Also shared the Turkey bacon Brie sandwich with my boyfriend for a quick bite before hitting the slopes and was satisfied. Christmas music was on and it immediately felt homey. Service was great as well. Slightly pricey, but so is everywhere else these days

Great coffee in quiet area off main drag in Flagstaff. The drive thru is a nice feature when you want that option - else they had some seating outside along the building on the street side. A lot of standard options and some cool unique takes on coffee drinks. Prices though good $2 or more higher than say a Starbucks and not 33% better I'm afraid. Seems like might have more people in line on a Saturday morning - likely the prices...

This place had a fun atmosphere. Both sandwiches were really good. They had a lot of veggie options. The drink was great me we were able to use our own cup.

We went here for breakfast to fuel up before hiking Humpheys which was perfect because they open at 6 and are right on the way. It was definitely pricey for what you get but at least what you do get is really good! I got the Roogz and my husband got the Flag and both were great. The workers were friendly and the food came out quickly. It looks like a great place to hang out and work if you live in town. They have free WiFi and a printer you can use.

Visited from out of town and Ahhhh I got the Marley and it was so delish such a good combination of my two fav coffee flavors . We came after a light hike in flagstaff . The pumpkin added the perfect fall touch to my pic and my high on coffee and happiness vibes . Friendly staff .

Very nice neighborhood cafe. Has a very "locals" feel to it. Neat and clean. Breakfast burrito was good and came out quickly and hot. Cinnamon muffin was delicious. Coffee was excellent (great variety). Service was quick, efficient, and very friendly. Even with a line it moved fast and our order was accurate. They have outside seating with wall anchors at each table to attach your pup's leash to while you eat. Only service animals inside. Would definitely return.

Good coffee shop. Very spacious and offers a variety of coffee and tea drinks. I ordered the Cortado and it was delicious, velvety smooth taste. I love that they also serve Ilia for drip coffee.

Although we were initially invited to sit on the patio, the chilly weather prompted the hostess to direct us to an available high table in the bar area, which was a suitable alternative. Up to that point, my expectations were not particularly high. However, our server, Henry, provided exceptional service, demonstrating friendliness, patience, and attentiveness despite the very crowded bar. The food exceeded my expectations, with generous portions and reasonable prices. The goat cheese bruschetta was the highlight of my meal. The happy hour menu offerings were not only delicious but also accompanied by excellent drinks. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Frankly, I don't know what the Hoopla is about and why it has 4 1/2 stars, but the ambience was cute. As to the food, I thought it was average at best. I had the rigatoni and I was expecting to have more of distinguishing flavors like I have had with other Italian meals that also have fennel sausage in it because I'm a big fan of it. This was very bland and when it was served, it was warm and not hot. My wife had the chicken Parmesan and it was served in a very hot iron dish which probably they should do for most dishes to keep it nice and warm. Hertz was definitely better and I would give it 3 1/2 to 3.75 stars for its meal, but it wasn't necessarily memorable. The server was pleasant, and after we were served, took a little bit of time before she came back to check in on us, and then as we had finished relatively early, keeping half of our meals for later, we didn't see her for quite some time. It was definitely getting packed because we had an early dinner and arrived at about 3:45 PM and frankly we're done about 4:20 PM. It was Father's Day so I understand Weil. It was busy, but that doesn't speak to the Food quality. I did have an orangecello old-fashioned, which was a nice twist on the old-fashioned, but just average in the scope of old-fashioned drinks Overall, it's my opinion that it is average at the very best and we are probably a one and done. One thing, however, is that the pricing was very reasonable and likely it is you pay for what you get.

We popped in on a Monday morning hoping to score some great grub and we certainly found some! Cubano ($20.95) - Starting with the bread - it's really fluffy, not toasted or pressed as with usual cubanos. Unfortunately, it's probably a little too light for the sandwich because some parts get mushy from being soaked in all the dijonnaise. The dijonnaise is very sweet, creamy with a mustardy zing. I think they add a bit too much, making the sandwich more fatty and messy to eat than I like (not to mention what I stated before about it soaking into the bread). The meat is fantastic. Both porchetta and ham are griddled on the flat top, giving them a developed and concentrated edge. The ham is to the point of being like country ham, while the porchetta still has great seasoned porky flavor. I believe they griddle the swiss cheese alongside the meat. It melts and crisps up into a cheese skirt, adding a fantastic texture to the sandwich. There's a lot of crinkle cut pickles underneath the meat, but it's not enough acid to cut through all that fat. Sandwiches come with a side of house chips. They are fried until a darker golden brown color, but aren't burnt. This gives a great kettle chip-like crunch. Even with different sized chips, they are very evenly fried with all chips being the same texture. They are salted the perfect amount. (4/5) Aleppo Pepper Pastrami sub Tomato Soup ($22.75) - This place is famous for their pastrami, and I can tell the quality. It's cooked on the griddle until it develops crisp edges. It's fatty, but the fat is rendered so there are no chewy and leathery parts. The meat is extremely tender and thinly sliced. It's honestly almost like bacon in texture, but the taste is completely different, with the exterior spices and pepper making a huge impact along with the rich concentrated meatiness inside. The bread is a nice toasted sourdough, not strongly sour in flavor, but definitely noticeable. The bottom slice is slathered with plenty of nopales studded cream cheese. It's added in a large amount and is an extremely creamy and fatty substance yet somehow doesn't overwhelm the sandwich. It's warm but not melty. The nopales are clearly there but I didn't find it to contribute much. The pastrami is layered on top of that followed by a ton of sweet brown caramelized onions that are very tender. An entire green chile, roasted and super smoky, is above that. Finally, aleppo mustard is spread on the top slice of bread. Between the green chile and the aleppo, there's a slight warmth that tinges the sandwich. It's nothing too spicy. Instead of chips, we opted to sub the Tomato Soup (no fee). It's very homestyle, full of tomato richness in a thick blend. It has a strong tangy tomato essence. There's basil oil drizzled on top for a boost of freshness. The soup is unfortunately quite a bit too acidic for my tastes, but that's only by itself! While very acidic, the soup is actually great as a balance to the sandwich (along with the pickle of course) since there's so much richness and fat coming in between the bread. (5/5) Proper Meats + Provisions definitely serves some great sandwiches. We were considering visiting again for our 2 full days in Flagstaff, but weren't able to make it because they close so early at 6! The chicken Po boy was very good in both the tender chicken meat and breading and also the sauce and everything else. The staff was super nice and this had a deli vibe with casual seating and eating. An excellent place to stop at if you're in Flagstaff.

It's basically a sandwich that looked at a side order and said, "Hop on, we're going together." Then Scott, the owner, came by. Turns out he's a former white-tablecloth restaurant guy who decided to bring his culinary wizardry to a laid-back grill. And you can feel it immediately. The guy doesn't just run the place, he hosts it. Now let's talk surprises. The hidden gem of the night was the ratatouille. Yes... ratatouille. At a grill known for burgers. And it was the best ratatouille I've had in 25 years. Somewhere in Provence a French grandmother just nodded approvingly. The onion rings? Fried perfection. Crispy, golden, and exactly what onion rings aspire to be when they grow up. The burgers themselves were a bit overcooked for my taste, which is the only reason this lands at four stars instead of five. But Scott's presence at the restaurant more than made up for it. The guy genuinely cares about his guests, checks in, chats, and makes the whole place feel welcoming. So here's the official scorecard: Food: Four Stars Onion rings: 5 Stars Ratatouille: 5 Stars Scott just being Scott: 6 stars (if Yelp allowed) Bottom line: go for the onion rings, stay for the ratatouille, and enjoy meeting Scott. Some restaurants have good food. This one has good people, and that's a recipe worth returning for.

We lucked out with some gorgeous weather a few weeks back, so dining on the patio was very enjoyable, particularly with the cozy string lights on overhead. It was super packed, but some of the couples ahead of us rejected the tiny bar counter and stools at the end of the smaller patio; since those seats didn't bother us we were seated immediately! I don't remember the name of our waitress, but she was very friendly. She immediately brought us a water carafe and two glasses. She was back in under 5 minutes to take our order and our food came out super fast. We began with the Mixed Greens Salad with Chevre & Pine Nuts. The portion was generous and the salad was absolutely delicious. They let the flavor of the chevre & pine nuts really shine through by adding a very light olive oil based dressing. We then shared our favorite pizza, the Diavola, which was delicious as always. Their pizza crust is some of the best in the western U.S. I love the convenience of enjoying Pizzicletta at Dark Sky, but I think we'll be coming to this location from now on.
