I remember this place when they were serving people downtown outside the bars. I remember really enjoying it so when I drove by and saw they had a food truck had to tell myself I was going to stop by soon (I just picked up the food somewhere else). Soon was the next day for lunch. Ahhh man, that brisket is where it's at! Nice fatty moist brisket! Thank you for not trimming all the fat off! So good! Good brisket it's hard to come by these days. Awesome little food truck!! Had the elk burgers and originally thought $13 for a burg was a bit steep but it was a smoking deal! The bun was fresh and a bit toasted with a touch of real butter. The lettuce and tomato were super fresh and crisp! The actual burger was great! If you have tried elk before and it was gamey, please try this burger at Wils. It will taste slightly different than regular beef but it's much leaner and quite filling with a better taste!! Worth the drive and the mural and sunshine will make you forget you are in a gas station parking lot!! read more

Minding my own business. When all of a sudden-- A scent. From across the parking lot. I could not resist. Like Pavlov's dogs, I scampered in the direction of the delicious aroma, mouth watering, thirsty for a gulp of family recipe potatoes. Greeted by one friendly John, I ordered quickly, glancing and perusing the scene behind him. The grill, hot and ablaze like my soul. Sounds faded. Just the sight of tasty ribs 12 feet in the distance. I couldn't look. Away. Pacing. The twiddling of thumbs. I waited. Like a small child, restless in the night before Christmas. Alas, I held my order in hand, quickly rushing to the nearest curb. I tore open the neatly tied package. Now in a frenzy. A fist full of mash potatoes. I took the first bite. And I was falling, into a soft, warm euphoria as the food melted in my mouth. Shivers down my spine. Like the first time I heard Chopin's nocturne no.2 in E Flat, Op.9 No.2. My spirit soared and I knew I had find my home amongst this large to go box. But I digress. Wil's Grill is excellent. I've consistently had it for the past 5 years and have been anything but disappointed. They catered a private Thanksgiving I attended and I confidently say the grilled chicken and mushrooms they made was the best meal I've ever had over a camp fire. Also, they catered a camping trip I went on that was outstanding. Every meal was well prepared: a good balance of flavors across the meals: not too many flavors, but rich in the ones they chose. They have a pop up tent they set up on the Cormier of the 180 and Humphreys at where I get lunch from them every now and again. Never had a bad experience, only ones well worth my bucks! read more

Wil's Grill is absolutely amazing ! We had them cater our wedding in Parks, AZ. We did not try the food beforehand because they were busy with weddings and we did not live in town so setting up schedules did not work out. I just trusted the reviews. At first, we had a little trouble and played phone tag with the owner Wil for a little but we eventually got it all handled. (We just needed to pay). Trust me when I say this, THE FOOD WAS THE BEST FOOD EVER! Every single one of our guests AND our wedding vendors complimented the food. We had chicken, tri tip, red potatoes, & veggies with a side salad. The chicken was not dry (they cooked it before the ceremony on site) and the tri tip was cooked perfect. Wow!!! Passing through and we were hungry wanting to try something local. Saw the food trailer and wanted to give it a try. We got the ribs, brisket, and Tater salad. Best BBQ this side of Austin! The Tater salad was amazing! The ribs and brisket were very flavorful! The guy working in the truck was very cordial and gave us great recommendations of sites to see. I recently attended a wedding catered by Wils Grill. Severely disappointed in both the food and the service. Super small portion size, undercooked food with lackluster flavor, and very poor bussing service making lots of noise while speeches were given. Many guests complained of personal items missing from the tables after the bussing service too. read more

Wil's grill catered our rehearsal dinner the night before our son's wedding. It was absolutely amazing to work with John from beginning to end. John was great at communicating with us. He was very helpful in planning our menu and he was extremely accommodating with dietary restrictions and food allergies. He is very organized, efficient and timely. Most importantly, the food was absolutely amazing! All of our guests raved about the food the night of the event and afterwards, as well. We used the live grill, plus three other serving stations, along with full serving staff. Every single server worked hard, was very polite, and wonderful in every single way. I had very high expectations for our evening and John still went above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend working with John. I got the opportunity to try their food at my friends wedding they catered last fall and let me tell you...the food was mouth watering delicious!! I had their grilled salmon which was grilled right on site. The smells of all their fresh grilled food permeated the air and made everyone super excited to eat. Along with the delicious salmon, I had a fresh local salad, grilled veggies, and some scalloped potatoes all of which were to die for! John and his team had such great customer service. Last year I was a part of my friends wedding as a grooms man and he had his reception catered by Wil's Grill and it was absolutely fantastic. I didn't hear one complaint and neither did anyone else whom I had the pleasure of visiting with at the reception. My buddy and his wife were pretty lucky to have had such awesome bbq at their wedding reception because my brothers wedding had bbq from a different place and not to say it wasn't good, but it was no where near as good as Will's Grill ribs. When I get married (not any time too soon) I will definitely have Wills Grill cater my reception. read more

My husband and I are forever grateful we found Wil's Grill to cater our wedding weekend! John and his team are absolutely phenomenal, and our wedding would not have been as memorable without their insanely delicious food. We booked Wil's Grill for BOTH rehearsal dinner and wedding reception because their food is that good. For rehearsal dinner we went with a Mexican theme and chose chicken and shrimp fajitas, roasted corn, chips, salsa & guac...and HOLY GUACAMOLE it was delicious. For our wedding we chose a charcuterie spread for the appetizer table, along with one of the best Italian meals I've ever had - blackened shrimp pasta, spinach ravioli with a maple cream sauce, caesar salad and artisan bread. I honestly wish I could eat this food every day it was that good. And just to top it off, the Wil's Grill team also did a fantastic job at bartending both nights. They went above and beyond to make sure tables were cleared, meals were served right on time, and guests were happy. Best part is John even joined us on the dance floor! John pours his heart and soul into his cooking and his work, and it is very apparent. He is such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Meaning we were scrambling to make plans in a short amount of time (after 2 canceled attempts). They were great to work with. They arrived nice and early, they set up quietly and out of the way.
