Several of our guests commented on how delicious the Miso Grilled Chicken and mixed greens with mandarins, avocado, jicama and toasted almonds were. Yes, "Simply Delicous". We worked with Nancy to create a casual but beautiful micro-wedding reception dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Everything from the beautiful charcuterie platter, the salad, grilled vegetables, steak and lasagna, it was all perfectly prepared. Nancy personalized the menu to suit the many different family member preferences. Nancy was responsive and communicative and we greatly appreciated it since we were coordinating from Phoenix. Great lunch spot! We enjoyed eating outside and the staff was friendly and accommodating. They have gluten free bread so they can make any sandwich gluten free. The waitress is courteous to quickly ask if you have a gluten free allergy or preference for gluten free. The kitchen sounds ready to accommodate both. I had the House Roast Turkey with GF bread...SO good! The pesto mayo and smoked Gouda cheese made for an AWESOME sandwich. We also had the Fish Tacos...SO good! After reading the reviews about Simply Delicious I gave them a call. Nancy, the owner and chef, was personable, funny and although I could tell she was going on 20 directions, spent time with me on the phone to make sure she understood my ideas correctly and she was right on the mark. Her suggestions enhanced what I had I mind and she made sure I ordered enough but not too much food. Food was attractively presented, for my take out order, and was beyond delicious. Ordered the club sandwich and a tri tip sandwich. Both were pretty good, although I though the club was better than the tri tip. The place is kind of off the beaten path and not really visible from the street so finding it can a be a bit of a trick Price was a little steep ($21 for two, no drinks) but the quality was high although I'm not sure it offset the price. read more

I'll start by saying I love that there is an aspect of giving back to the community, that was a big reason we stopped in to order 2 sandwiches to go. Almost $40 later, we had 2 sandwiches, 2 pickles and 2 small bags of chips. Granted I saw the price tags on the menu before ordering so I knew it would be a fantastic sandwich. Unfortunately, it just wasn't. The bread was dry and fell apart while I was trying to eat it. There was a lot of meat on the sandwich but the ratio seemed off, too much meat. It was hard to even pick it up so picnic was tricky. I think there were some interesting things on the menu had we been able to eat in but the sandwiches need to be more manageable and reasonably priced. I really was hoping for a win. read more

The was a good cafe, but not excellent, and not quite worth the $25 for two for lunch. The good: fish tacos, funky ( in a good way) interior, chicken salad. The bad: slow slow slow. Found reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor so decided to try - and glad we did !! Stopped in for lunch and had the lamb stew and split fish tacos - both were delicious !! The restaurant is a bit hard to find even though it's right on Route 66 - it's hidden behind a tax place (I think that's what it was) - I called and they directed us right to the place. I can't rave enough about this place! The food was perfectly balanced, and it all tasted homemade! The portions were Huge! I had the duck tacos and they were everything I could expect. We also ordered the lamb stew which was exceptional! I had their lemonade which has to be the best I've had. The service was sweet and the owner came out to greet us! I found Simply Delicious about two years ago on a weekend trip to Flag. It's become a favorite, and as much as I like to try new things (which is a lot!) I always end up back here. My favorite dish is the fish tacos. The fish is mild, tender, and grilled to perfection. The tortilla (most likely homemade) is also grilled (I think), and has this incredible flavor I've never found at other restaurants. It's truly the perfect fish taco. We stopped in while driving through to Sedona. The cafe is small and quiet, we got a table right away and ordered a few sandwiches and a quesadilla. The waitress was very friendly to my kids and another lady even came over after receiving our food to check on us and see if we were enjoying the meal. It was refreshing to have friendly staff after leaving Colorado (it seems like no one is friendly there ). The food was so good and fresh! We had three chicken salad sandwiches with fresh fruit, my husband had the quesadilla with a delicious salsa that tasted house made(?). We had a fantastic experience working with Nancy and her crew at Simply Delicious for catering of our wedding at the Flagstaff Arboretum. Nancy clearly has lots of experience with weddings and similar events, asking numerous important questions that we never would have thought of. She helped us spec out linens, flatware, etc. from a rental company, dealt with those contracts, and her and her crew set everything up. The food was absolutely delicious! We did floating appetizers for cocktail hour; a mix of beef, salmon, seasonal roasted veggies; and assorted Italian cookies and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert (we provided a cake and cupcakes ourselves). Nancy has great taste-buds for flavor combinations, and with some Italian-American friends & family from NYC, her baked goods got rave reviews! So, Nancy did it again. For the 2nd year in a row, I asked if she could put together a Valentine's dinner for my wife, two daughters, and I instead of fighting the mobs at local restaurants. Again, it blew me away. I picked it up pretty much prepped, but needing about 20 minutes of cooking to finish it. There were appetizers (yes, multiple), filet mignon with au poivre, an amazing array of veggie combinations, and a dessert that blew us away. This was as good a meal as I've ever had at a fine restaurant (just like last year) yet we prepped it at home. Unbelievable. I've never had a single food item from Nancy that wasn't mouth watering. Been wanting to eat here for a while and finally had a lunch date with my husband on a Saturday. It was chilly here in Flagstaff so we wanted soup and sandwiches. The parking lot is somewhat small and oddly shaped, but we managed to park our car. The outside of the building is pleasant and gives you a clue as to what the inside will look like. We were greeted immediately by the young hostess who I think was new at her job. However, it wasn't busy and her friendliness outweighed her somewhat ineptness. The chairs are comfortable, the gender neutral restroom was clean, the table was clean and had fresh flowers, the ambience has a somewhat eclectic/industrial/Flagstaff vibe. (On a sidenote I would love to offer my services as a decorator as the place could be amazingly cute rather than looking like someone haphazardly decorated. It has some really nice touches but then the rest looks amateurish because it doesn't follow through on any particular theme so it feels confusing. Anyway, the food is good. I had a cup of pork posole and half of a turkey sandwich that I changed some of the ingredients in, to my taste, and came to me exactly as I asked. The turkey was real roast turkey like what you get at Thanksgiving. The ingredients were fresh and tasty and the bread was excellent. My husband had the chorizo butternut soup with the hot Italian sandwich which he said were excellent. I had the orange spice iced tea and he had the homemade lemonade, both of which were very tasty and refreshing. I definitely will return there and try some more items on their menu like the spinach lasagna, the lamb stew, and a couple more of their different sandwiches. The only "con" I can really come up with is that it was so cold in there! I would recommend bringing a sweater. At the end of my visit the owner came over, brought our check and asked how our meal was. We liked her. I give this place 4 stars for the food, but 3 for the decor because it was so odd I spent most of my time wondering why this or that decor was where it was and the color or type it was. read more
