This is, to put it simply, a plant nursery and a wedding venue. The garden is laid out beautifully and the staff is wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable. There is a wealth of different kinds of seeds for purchase and, although some are available in my area (SoCal), I was able to find many I had been looking for. I had been dying to go to a Pumpkin Patch and I finally convinced my boyfriend to take a road trip to Flagstaff to this particular pumpkin patch at Viola's flower garden, I'm so glad we did. That atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The whole experience was really a great memory and we got really great pictures from our trip. I'm a sucker for any plant or flower shop. It was my first time visiting here and I loved the place. The whole flower garden was set up so cute with different pathways to guide you through the garden and plants that were for sale. They have an array of annuals and perennials as well as shade and fruit trees. In August, they even sell hatch chilies that they roast on site and you can choose for mild, medium, and hot. Sometimes they have it ready and bagged for sale or if you're lucky, they will roast them fresh in front of you, which is great. Definitely will be back to Viola's flower garden when I'm in the area again. read more

We were in Flagstaff for the weekend and drove to Violas twice on Saturday (10:20am and 3pm) and both times, the parking lot was full and overflowing to across the street and there was a huge line of people just waiting to get inside. You could see that the 'inside' was a bit small for all the people crammed in! This was a bummer because we really wanted to go inside it wasn't safe to park across the road and walk across the highway... plus there's no way we could wait with our high energy toddler. We always forget about Viola's because they are off the beaten path, but they are so worth the trip, especially this time of year when they have their Pumpkin Patch! Admission is $3, but well worth it, especially for the photo ops! Put on your costumes and get your phones and cameras ready! Children under three are free. During their Pumpkin Patch event, they also have a straw-bale maze, pumpkin decorating and games! They are a little bit pricey, but from their flowers to trees to pumpkins, everything is fresh and healthy! You are also investing in plants that belong in Flagstaff rather than taking chances like you do at the Home Depot with employees that don't know anything about the plants and plants that really don't thrive in Flagstaff! Viola's! I keep wanting to say Voila This place is great! But let me warn that it is pricey! I stopped by for the first time during Halloween week of 2021. Pumpkins ranged from $10 all the way up to $80. Most of your Halloween carving pumpkins were around $14-$32 each (which maybe just I think is a little steep). They did have a hay maze, Halloween themed games, and a pumpkin painting station for kids and adults which was fun. There was a $3 cover charge to get into the event (which is no problem). OVERALL: Viola's is a nice place, but a little too expensive for my taste. I'll have to come visit not during a holiday to see what else they offer. read more

We came today to bring our one year old to his first pumpkin patch experience...after a lot of research, I'm so glad we settled on Viola's! We were immediately greeted by a friendly staff, who gave us a brief run down of what we could expect. The sales transaction was seamless, she went the extra mile to hand sanitize before and after, and even sanitized my card before handing it back! In times like these, I really appreciate that extra effort! We entered the patch and it was ADORABLE! So many great photo opportunities for my little dude, inclusive of cut outs that we could stick our (masked) faces in! I was fortunate to visit Viola's flower Garden during the Halloween season and enjoy their seasonal displays and pumpkin patch. For the Halloween displays, they charge $3 a person. I was a bit skeptical at first since I didn't have any kids who would partake in any of the games, maze or arts and crafts. However, after peeking in, I was intrigued by their displays and decided, what the heck-just pay a few bucks and support a local business. So glad I did! Their set up was so much fun. All of the pumpkins on display were for sale but also thoughtfully arranged with different Halloween decorations-scarecrows, skeletons, witches...they had it all. Not only was it an Instagram worthy photo op but also just generally enjoyable to stroll through. They closed the displays at 6 and I was glad to go late in the day, since they began to turn on some small lights in the trees. It all was very festive and fall-like, but in a non-commercial, quaint way. They also featured a small farm stand with seeds, honey, jams and shirts. I can imagine they host different seasonal events-you can follow them online where they seem to actively post activities. This was the perfect way to end my day of exploring in Flagstaff. read more

Viola's Garden. What can I say? My daughter was married at Viola's on May 13. She heard about it and went with my wife to scope it out last year. I went up a few days later to take care of the logistics. When I saw it, I thought "This is a nice little place, should be a nice venue." I had no idea. This place is absolutely amazing! It is gorgeous, full of flowers, in Flagstaff so you don't have the heart, and the staff is incredible! Jessie was our event coordinator, assisted by Lilly. They spoiled my daughter rotten! The set-up was beautiful, and Jessie and Lilly took care of everything with a genuine smile. You can tell they love what they do there. They set up this amazing fall festival with thousands of pumpkins, awesome decor and lots of activities to do with the family. In my opinion, they have some of the best plants and the best associates who will take the time to help you understand the plant and tips on keeping everything alive. They have moved to this new location just outside of town and they offer a wedding venue on-site that I hear is absolutely amazing! There's a cute maze, toilet throw game, face hole photo booth and so much more. Whole lots of pumpkins to choose from. Its pumpkin season so we drive over to Violas for a pumpkin because a lot of people were sold out or what the other places had left was sparse. When we got to Viola's we found out you have to pay $3 per person just to enter the garden which is normally free. Then we started looking for a few good pumpkins. Luckily they had plenty. Why? Because they were down right robbing people for a pumpkin. We found one, the smallest we could find which was just bigger than a baking pumpkin and it was $10!!. We ended up getting the $10 pumpkin and another just bigger than that for $16!!!. Thats $10 + $16 + $6 entry fee (2 people) =$32. If I would have shopped a week earlier anywhere else I could have purchased about 6 full size pumpkins for that price. Next year plan ahead and shop anywhere else!! read more

Was ready to purchase multiple pumpkins for the nursery, however was told there was a $3 entry fee (?) for what? It's a nursery. So because it's October and "picture opportunities" they charge $3 to enter the quote "pumpkin patch". Instead - left right away and went 45mins south to an amazing pumpkin Patch! Mortimer Farms in Prescott AZ- Holy cow now they know what they are doing in Prescott. I can't say enough about how wonderful Viola's wedding venue is! Not only is the venue beautiful but the wedding coordinator, Jessie, is so helpful and organized. She and her assistants gave us the feeling of ease and really being taken care of. They were all so helpful and kind and did everything possible to make it the best day! We really had the best experience ever for my daughters wedding there. You cannot top the beautiful surroundings of the nursery for an outdoor wedding and the venue is very beautiful and rustic in a way with lots of wood and stone and beams. We had so much fun exploring the pumpkin patch! We drove up from Scottsdale and stopped by on our way to see fall colors. There were many picture opportunities and activities to keep our girls busy for an hour. The variety of pumpkins made them stand out from all other pumpkin patches not to mention they were reasonably priced. My girls also enjoyed the free decorating with pumpkin purchase. But the highlight for them was the sweet, black cat Maddie! Staff was friendly and thought of everything at the decorating station. I've heard about this place through a friend and couldn't believe how perfect it was. The pumpkin patch set up was just great. You have the opportunity for so many photo ops! It is a smaller pumpkin patch, no rides or hay tours; but who needs that!? Plus admission is FREE! It's only a short drive from Downtown Flagstaff and a few miles from MANY hikes and restaurants.
