My boyfriend and I took a beginners glass blowing class when visiting Sedona Arizona. The instructor was super friendly and made the experience fun and educational. They took safety seriously and ensured everyone walked away with a beautiful and unique glass piece. They have pick up and shipping options available for those who are out of town. Classes start at $100 but it was so worth every penny for the experience and fun class! They also have glass pieces for sale in their shop. If you're in the Sedona area looking for a fun family friendly activity I highly recommend taking a class here!

A friend and I scheduled a session with the melting point to make a cactus. Jordan was very informative, knowledgeable, and helped us make our creation. What I loved was we actually got to hands-on create the item with the very technical steps being handled by Jordan. Although not an inexpensive experience, I would definitely do it again and make something else. If you don't want to make your own glass, they have a wide selection of glass articles from around the world. Their shop is lovely.

Let me start off by saying I've come here twice and each time I've had a killer experience! The staff is incredible, they are super knowledgeable in glass blowing techniques/color schemes. So far, I've made a flower and a cactus, and my boyfriend made a bowl. I've also bought jewelry from their local artists! I live in another state so I have my glass shipped & each time my glass has arrived within a week! I always look forward to The Melting Point anytime I'm in Sedona, they are definitely worth checking out!

Super fun, extremely helpful and kind staff. I would comeback again. I loved the options for the beginner classes, the holiday ornament was my favorite.

Adding the color to thr glass was so much fun.

I have wanted to learn to blown glass for years. This was such an amazing experience. Alexa was an amazing teacher she explained things very well and made it so I didn't feel nervous at all. This is definitely a great beginner glass. I would love to try more classes.

Lots of gorgeous art to see and the class was such a treat. Austin was funny, kind and passionate even for the last group of the day. It was stimulating and a highlight of our trip

Oh my gosh, our family of three had a great time learning about the glass blowing process and we cannot wait to pick up our cooled finished projects. From start to finish, Chris, assisted by Alexa Rose, made our evening educational, fun and confident building as we do not have natural artistic abilities. We all chose different projects: cactus/ paper weight/ sucky bowl. While they had a variety of steps in common they also had their own additional unique steps to finish. We come to Sedona often and mostly hike and enjoy the restaurants. It was about time to participate in the local arts scene. If you have time in your Sedona visit to take an art class - do yourself a favor and schedule a beginners class at The Melting point.

We did a glass blowing class today where we made flowers and someone else made a vase. IT WAS AWESOME AMD AMAZING! We loved it. They walk you thru the entire process and you make something so beautiful! A total must do!!!

Can't say enough about our fantastic experience here. We took the blow your own glass class and loved it so much we went back the next day for the bead class. Really, really great instructors, nice studio, and we are taking home some really special mementos that will mean so much more than the trinkets and t-shirts we bought on the main drag. If you are a) curious, b) crafty or c) a total pyro, just do it, you'll love it!

Awesome! We took a class while in Sedona on vacation. Alexa Rose was a great teacher. She led us thru each part. Would love to take another glass. Well worth the money.

    We love our new glass!!

They sell artwork from local artists, so you can purchase a one-of-a- kind piece of art, made in Sedona. Higher end than the casual arts and crafts market. Occasionally, the artist is in his or her booth, available to talk about their creation. Staff are also available to speak to the artwork, and take care of your purchase. They sell paintings, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, to name a few. The majority of the art is affordable, too. Parking: Plenty of free, shared, strip mall parking.

The architecture is creative - or different, at least - than any traditional mall - but I can't say I was wowed by anything and inside of 2 hours I was bored of the whole place. Days later, while walking around Sedona Artist Market, which sits in an unimpressive strip mall along the main road into Sedona I said what I was thinking: "I like everything about this place better than anything about that other place". "That other place" was Tlaquepaque Village. Sedona Artist Market is a big collective of artists booths. When I walked in, two painters were up front, painting original, high quality works. The rest of the space was filled with art of all types by a wide swath of artists. Not to pit one place against another, but the idea of what Tlaquepaque Village was originally envisioned to be seems to have gotten lost along the way. If you want to see a wider variety of art at many different price points, Sedona Artist Market is well worth a stop.

An employee who I now also assume is Eva from other reviews came outside and told me she was locking that door so I had to come inside. The mirror I really wanted was outside of that door though and I was confused because it was close to 5 but they close at 5:30 pm. I asked her if she could wait to lock the door but no- they close some sections earlier and apparently that couldn't wait. I left without buying any of the things and will spend my money somewhere that people don't chase me out. I have worked in customer service and in a tourist place and it often sucks. I didn't and don't expect smiles and friendliness, but at a bare minimum need to not be locked out of the area of a store 30 minutes before closing. There are a number of signs indicating it's easy to transgress their rules and get yelled at or ejected...so weird how very unfriendly the people at a shop with so many great things could be. Ps don't even think about trying to use the restroom if not a paying customer- you have to buy something and then the other lady will grudgingly hand over some toilet paper. Dang! I went in so happy and left so annoyed.
