This place seems so great and I was really excited to buy lots of fun things- a $75 mirror, ornament, earrings, a print, cactus nail file, probably more because I love turquoise and colors...but I sat down on a bench by a koi pond for a minute (ironically, to check in on yelp and see why so many one star reviews for a place full of good stuff). An employee who I now also assume is Eva from other reviews came outside and told me she was locking that door so I had to come inside. The mirror I really wanted was outside of that door though and I was confused because it was close to 5 but they close at 5:30 pm. I asked her if she could wait to lock the door but no- they close some sections earlier and apparently that couldn't wait. I left without buying any of the things and will spend my money somewhere that people don't chase me out. I have worked in customer service and in a tourist place and it often sucks. I didn't and don't expect smiles and friendliness, but at a bare minimum need to not be locked out of the area of a store 30 minutes before closing. There are a number of signs indicating it's easy to transgress their rules and get yelled at or ejected...so weird how very unfriendly the people at a shop with so many great things could be. Ps don't even think about trying to use the restroom if not a paying customer- you have to buy something and then the other lady will grudgingly hand over some toilet paper. Dang! I went in so happy and left so annoyed. read more

This is a must see stop that has random indoor and outdoor rooms full of really cool things. Lots of pottery, artifects, jewerly, hats, crystals, Native American stuff, etc. Plenty of key chains, magnets, and fun things. I found the prices to be really reasonable verses prices up the road. I picked up a few trinckets and a walking stick to bring home. Employees are friendly read more

I loved my visit to this shop! Son Silver has both an inside and outside area to peruse. In addition, there is also a vortex area to take in. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. The merchandise is so unique and is the perfect way to commemorate your trip to Sedona. I found the prices to be quite reasonable for the area and the quality of what was being sold. We were excited to meet Batman, a local feline who was strolling the grounds. The cashier who checked us out was more than happy to tell us about him. Lovely experience! read more

Love places like this, where there's a TON of random old stuff from all over the place but part of history. In between all the stuff, there's a bunch of stuff for sale as well. Be careful walking around because they have a strict, you break it you bought it policy and they have some really pricey things in there. But they also have some great stuff from Mexico and Turkey for home decorating. Lots of welding sculptures and planters and water sculpture art. Worth stopping by to check out even if you don't buy anything. read more

This has got to be one of the most fascinating, intriguing and exclusive shops in Arizona, maybe even the Southwest! Literally filled to the brim with Southwestern ornamentation, doodads, art, metalwork... I can go on, and on. Whether for indoor or out, you'll find pieces you can decorate your home with or gift someone. Many items they offer are exclusive. When visiting Cottonwood this has to be a must stop. read more

I will start off by saying, don't think you'll come here and go home with a lot of cool stuff, because if you do, you'll break the bank! Now I have found the occasional gift here for that special person. That's why we stopped here today, to get a chile ristra, as I knew they would have it even though it's off-season, for a friend of mine who has a birthday coming up, and she had to look for one when she was down in Tucson without any luck! They have a nice selection of Talavera pottery, chimineas, statues, art, and other goodies, but very overpriced, because of Sedona tourism! I do have to say, their customer service can definitely be improved upon! If anything, you do have to come here to explore! They have some cool things to look at, take pictures and just enjoy the surroundings. I would definitely say it's a quirky tourist destination, but even if you're local, and you've never checked it out, you should at least once! I have a blast every time I stop in! read more

The person running the register was not very friendly and less than tolerant. When our group entered the business (some were wearing Trump hats) the employee had the nerve to say we need to burn our hats. It's ok to have differing opinions but it's not good to be intolerant to your customers who did nothing more than walk into the business wearing something you didn't like. Needless to say we decided to spend our money elsewhere and left immediately after the rude comment....it wasn't worth us lowering ourself to be hateful so we went down the road and spent our money. I truly hope the employee has the day they deserve and can start practicing some tolerance towards people with differing political views. read more

When going here I was very excited this is my first time visiting Sedona and I've driven by the place multiple times saying this place looked awesome. I finally got to go and was more than disappointed. An employee that apparently has caused similar situations for other people visiting the store who I'm now finding out is named Eva because of all the other negative reviews about her, yelled at my fiance and snatched the door knob out of her hand shouting "either come inside or keep the door closed" and then proceeded to slam the door in her face. At that point I was irritated but still wanted to buy this cross (which was severely over priced like everything else in the store). After viewing the store I was walking to the register and watched Eva yell at an entire family regarding the door and watching her yell their children as well. This family as well as myself are darker colored and I feel this had something do with it. Even if it didn't that's no way to run a business and she lost my business because after seeing the way she treated that family I put down the over priced cross and me and my fiance walked out of the store. Also their koi pond is way to small to have that many fish in it read more

A great find along route 179 in Sedona a few minutes drive away from uptown. As a family tradition whenever we visit Sedona is to get one thing from Son Silver West for our house. So far we've bought 3 things and the collection is growing. This place is huge! They have a great gallery in the back filled with unique items with most items locally sourced and crafted by local artists. My last procured item is a glazed bowl perfect for our buffet server table. Come by to look or take something home to remember Sedona while supporting local artists. read more

Wow - can you say overpriced??? Like many, I was drawn here after driving by and seeing a crowded parking lot and all the kitsch. It was fun to look, but all the "no" and warning (you break it, you buy it) signs is a huge turn off. I was looking at all the Buddha statues. I think the cheapest (12 inches) was $750!!! Several were $3500 and they were in the 24-30 inch height. I about passed out. A couple were buying a pair of metal free standing flowers, which needed the stakes to put them into the ground. These were $165. The girl at the cash register said she thought they didn't have any more stakes....another wow. I spent probably 15 minutes looking around this tourist trap & left without a purchase. read more

A tourist's dream! Yeah, the locals know better, but this is a must stop for lovers of Southwestern décor, jewelry, Mexican made wares, ironwork, art, textiles, painted pottery, books and more! Heading to Sedona, stop here for an array of souvenirs, plants and knick knacks of every kind! We loved meandering through every room of festively displayed items! We live on the east coast so were happy to be ensnared in this "tourist trap"! We picked up some lovely Indian turquoise, beautifully created baskets, and some cute cactus ornaments and a bushel full of other trinkets. It's quirky. It's odd. It's so "Route 66-like roadside attraction." It grows on you. A cousin insisted we visit this art gallery-cum-souvenir shop, and my first impression was that there was too much kitsch. Did I want a two-ton metal tyrannosaurus? A massive hand-woven rug? A wind spinner or a fountain for my garden? Some of the best looking straw cowboy hats I've ever seen? Did I want to sit for a photo in the vortex (prepared conveniently by the gallery), or buy some real cactus seeds (which might not germinate)? One of eight cow skulls on display? I've been here twice, and I am sure I could visit many times again. Besides the pure entertainment value, there's something in every price range, and I'm almost sure to take something home I used to ignore this place as I drove by on my trips to the Village, but now it rates as one of my must-see tourist stops. read more

I cannot control myself in this store! I've lost count as to how many incredible finds I've scored here. On a recent trip to Sedona I came home with a car full of treasures. A rustic wooden handmade Mexican ladder, a cow skull, a southwest rug, and another milagro piece of art for my growing collection. In the past I've purchased pottery & outdoor metal art for my garden. If you see something you love here make sure to grab it on the spot. I can't tell you how many times I've hesitated and upon my return could never find the item again. I've learned my lesson. The pieces here are one of a kind. Lots of their goods are imported from Mexico. The craftsmanship and creativity is incredible. I'm in love with southwestern details and I find myself filling my home with more and more of them. The cool knick knacks and other souvenirs can NOT compensate for the horrendous customer service in this place. Mainly cos of the terrible person who I'm sure all the other 1 and 2 star reviews are referring to - Eva. Eva - who's the lady with glasses that works the register - is an awful representation of what this place should be. I've been here back in 2019 and I thought it was a sweet little spot. Now I regret to say that because of Eva's terrible attitude. This store is no longer a fun family friendly place. You walk in here and you've got a target on your head cos Eva is watching you like a hawk, and not for pleasant reasons. She reminds me of the principal in the movie "Matilda" - looks and her ugly behavior. Anyways, if you really want to get souvenirs I'm sure there are much kinder stores nearby in Sedona. If you are brave enough to wrestle with the beast inside, then be warned fellow travelers! read more

A lovely art gallery and home decor store ! I bought six lovely cocktail glasses from there. The prices are reasonable but the lady helping us out with our purchase was a bit grumpy and not very friendly, hence the four stars and not five. In addition, we were charged the wrong prices for the glasses which were twelve dollars, according to the stickers on them and not the fourteen we were charged! Not a huge big deal in itself , however it's the principle that bothers me ! read more

While spending the day on Wickenburg antique shopping we decided to stop in and check out Son Silver West. I've driven by so many times over the years, but had no chance to stop until today. I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner and even more surprised to not already see them on Yelp. The location has a great amount of parking with easy access on and off the highway. The location is so much larger than it looks from the highway, with multiple rooms inside as well out a large outdoor area filled with outside decor, furniture, wall art and beautiful metal works. The furniture is beautiful and most heavy solid wood. Inside you'll find paintings, small Knick knacks like magnets, jewelry, blankets and inside home decor from cups to lights and so much more. Service was wonderful and so friendly. We'd came in an SUV so unfortunately we couldn't buy anything too large this trip. Not sure if there is one or multiple metal artists, but their work is beautiful, such talent! read more

Eva was not willing to help myself or the rest of my group. We were a party of six and could've provided good business. As tourists we were looking for souvenirs for ourselves and families. Her customer service, let alone her common decency, is atrocious. Rudely bumped shoulders with us to stand in the middle of our group pointing to walk through. Eva did not want to use her words to say, "Excuse me I need to get through." She kept her mouth shut and pointed at the register with a smug look thinking that we can read her mind that she needs to get through. As she saw 6 customers looking through souvenirs she then puts her hands on her hips asking if we need help. Eva clearly didn't want to be at work and help us. We replied with, "Yes we need help." Eva turns around and pretends that she did not hear us asking for her help. Eva has terrible customers service and clearly hates her job. With her attitude she lost our business and will continue to lose more. read more

Duuuude... Son Silver West Gallery is a BOMB place and I could have spent hours browsing in there. We were cruising around Sedona on the way to Paleo Brio Restaurant and we stopped in at Son Silver West Gallery in Sedona. Son Silver West is an enormous art gallery @ 1476 State Route 179, Sedona, AZ. SSWG has a rather eclectic collection of one of a kind pieces of art. (Not for everyone). We wandered around from area to area looking at the unique, brightly colored artwork. They have everything from carpets woven by the Indians to sculptures, pottery, and all sorts of very different artwork. You can spend a long time browsing as the yard is very large, but we were hungry and anxious to get to Paleo Brio down the street. read more

Our experience at Son Silver West in Sedona, AZ was incredibly disappointing. From the start, the staff seemed unfriendly and almost hostile toward tourists, especially those of us with children. The store is so overcrowded with merchandise that it's hard to navigate, and my child accidentally knocked something over due to how cramped it was. Instead of handling the situation with understanding, the shopkeeper not only demanded that we pay for the item but also made a very rude comment about the whole situation--completely unaware that my 17-year-old daughter was standing right next to her and heard every word. It was an uncomfortable and upsetting experience that made us feel truly unwelcome. I'd advise families visiting Sedona to steer clear of this place. read more

This is a very busy place with a lot of stuff. Most of the stuff appears to be imported (probably from Mexico). There is loud music and signs everywhere "if you break it you bought it." I find it hilarious that there is another recent review complaining about some lady with glasses who works here and has such a bad attitude. Well, her name is Eva, and she should not be working in customer service. My friends and I were here to buy Baja sweaters (it's a good deal if I'm gonna be honest--only $20). There were 6 of us, so of course we were rummaging through all the colors and sizes. As we were doing this, some lady just slid her way into the already tiny space we had as we were looking through the sweaters. My first thought was.. "Is this another customer who is just rudely squeezing herself? You obviously see we're already sardines over here so uhhh... what are you doing?" Then right after she walked up the podium that said "Employees Only" so I realized she works here. You guessed it--this random lady is Eva. Right then and there, I already knew she lacks some decent customer service skills. Not a single word or "excuse me" until she got up the podium, and a minute later, she asks if we need help. My friend asked for XL/XXL, then she did nothing after that. A few moments later, we were still looking through all the sweaters, then she angrily snaps, "So do you guys need help? Because you're mixing up all the Bajas, and I folded them all this morning." FIRST OF ALL, these are items for sale in a touristy area, so did you really expect them to stay exactly the same way as you organized them in the morning? It's YOUR JOB for a reason. Hello--there's a reason why you folded them this morning. Secondly, why are there large boxes blocking literally half the sweaters? That is adding to our struggle that you literally did nothing about when you walked by. Thirdly, we're a group of 6 who are of different sizes and different wants regarding the color, so again, we're looking through all the available Bajas. Plus, we weren't just leaving them laying around, we were actually folding them back if we didn't want whatever we tried on. So are you just impatient and angry that we're trying to shop for what we want? We were so close to throwing back all the stuff we picked up and just walk out. Shoutout to the guy with glasses working at the register. Because of how nice he was, we decided to still buy some stuff. It's such a bummer because the exterior decor of this gift shop is really nice, and they actually have a nice variety of souvenirs, not to mention the convenience of the location. Very nice gift shop for tourists, but Eva will ruin the experience for you, so hopefully she's not working when you go. read more

The place has some fun stuff and we actually were going to buy about $100 plus dollars of various items, however you are not allowed to use the bathroom till you show them your receipt. We were not ready to check out because we were still shopping, but they said no receipt, no bathroom. Poor customer service, especially since there is not a any passing by foot traffic to abuse your bathrooms and it is not a place in the middle of nowhere that perhaps cars stop just to use the bathroom. On principle we put the stuff back and purchased a 35 cent item, so my wife could use the bathroom and we left :( Hopefully it was just one grumpy bad employee and not the norm. read more

As I was driving through Sedona while attending the #YelpSedonaGetaway I saw a giant white chicken statue on the side of the road. If you know anything about me, you know that I'll always stop if there is a giant chicken outside. Or even a tiny chicken, basically any chicken gets me. This little village is full of lots of different yard art, indoor art, they have a koi pond...really, there are so many trinkets here. If you need to stop in Sedona to find gifts just go ahead and stop here because they have everything you could imagine (including Native American jewelry, although it is pricey because Sedona is pricey). I found a pottery lizard that I didn't need until I saw it, and now it is part of my garden. I didn't exactly need a metal roadrunner that rocks back and forth in the wind, but I did once I saw it. I stopped in for a wind chime...and I found one, and of course there were many to choose from. There are magnets, cooking supplies, glassware, metal things, buffalo teeth, rugs, trinkets...I mean, I cannot even write down everything there is here because there is that much stuff. Only problem: Trying to find someone to help you get something (like a wind chime that is hanging way above your super short head) is a little tricky. I had to ask three different employees behind registers, all of whom told me they would send someone out. The third time was the charm and eventually someone came to help me. But it would be nice if there was a person in each quadrant in a brightly colored shirt (like the cashiers!) that could be waved down. That's my biggest issue, and it isn't a huge issue. It just can be hard to find someone to help you out. Quick tips: Parking can be tricky They have something for every price range Keep kids away from breakable things (saw a kid break something and the parents were frustrated they had to pay for it) Make sure you check out the awesome koi pond read more

I am a 6 year long Sedona local... I wanted to take my best friend visiting from out of town to Son Silver West, I was so excited to show her -- then we went into the gift shop and we were picking out pedants from one of the little baskets, and the working there came over and rudely TOOK IT OUT OF MY HANDS and proceeded to dump all of the pendants out on the counter as she scolded me on how to look for the one I wanted.
