    Cute little Ace hardware store which has a little bit of everything for your basic home needs including small kitchen appliances such as hand blenders, dog food, cat food, both cat and dog toys, and other general hardware type stuff. The service was excellent we were just looking around and about three people came up to us and asked us if we needed any help and they were very knowledgeable and helpful and pleasant as well.

    If the only person I interacted with today was Sherri, this would be a 1-star review. Thanks to…read moremanagement and other employees, it's not. Thank them for the 5-star review; they earned it. Today I came in to return a $90 car battery charger I hadn't used. My wife's car wouldn't start, and I bought the charger as a backup plan. It turned out the people helping her jump the car weren't attaching the cables correctly; once done right, the battery was fine. Since I didn't need the charger and the receipt didn't list it as non-refundable, I went to return it. I had opened the box only to check the plug type--a reasonable step given the time-sensitive situation with our work schedules and childcare needs. I walked into ACE asking to return the item and was immediately met with a dismissive "NO" from Sherri. Even after I explained it was unused, she was apathetic. She insisted they don't accept returns on that item regardless, telling me, "You're just gonna have to keep what you bought... I'm sure you'll eventually use it." She seemed astounded I'd even ask. Frustrated, I checked my receipt, saw no such policy, and went back in to inquire further. Sherri was visibly annoyed. As a melanated man in my 30s dealing with her combative approach, I couldn't help but wonder if my physical appearance or demographic played into her refusal to provide basic customer service. While I can't factually know her intent, her behavior made that thought unavoidable. At this point, a kind gentleman named Rick stepped in. While Sherri scoffed and dismissed my request to him, Rick actually listened. He took the step Sherri never did: he scanned the item. **It was, in fact, return-eligible.** Rick called for the manager, Josh, who was also reasonable and professional. After I explained the situation, Josh granted the refund. Josh is a fantastic manager and Rick is a remarkable employee who understands empathy. They get 7 stars each, which averages out the 1-star I'd give Sherri to a 5-star total. To the owners: be thankful for Rick and Josh. While Sherri might have thought she was "doing her job," Rick proved she wasn't doing it correctly. If he hadn't stepped in, I would have walked away thinking the store had an unreasonable policy, simply because she didn't bother to check. I'm not looking to retaliate; the business rating is permanent and I don't want to hurt the rest of the team. But Sherri needs to know what her coworkers did differently. Some customers wouldn't have asked for a second opinion--they would have just walked out and left a 1-star review. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that it was a bad day rather than prejudice, but she needs retraining on how to handle these situations. Thank you to the team members who actually put in the effort to solve my issue and set the right example. This store is fantastic because of people like Rick and Josh.

Very surprising for a company like ACE.

He brought his computer and a printer and printed out the estimate before he left. Very professional, trustworthy guy. Was extremely happy with movers Felipe and David. Felipe has worked at this company for 25 YEARS!!!! They did an excellent job protecting my furniture with blankets. They packed the van like pros. They were very fast, no fooling around, when straight to business and didn't stop until everything was 100% complete. They didn't run into walls or doors when moving the furniture out of and into the houses. I definitely recommend this company! GREAT PRICE ALSO!!! And they showed up on time! As in on the dot! If and when I move again I will use this company!

The truth is they took advantage of an elderly couple. Shame on her. She showed up to try and fix badly damaged new furniture with wipes and a sharpie since she refused to have it repaired properly (it never was and I have plenty of pictures of the extent of the damage to back up my side). Her supposed crew was made up of guys who had never moved a piece of furniture in their lives (they told me as much) and one quit the next day. My wife and I had to help move boxes and furniture out of the truck ourselves until past midnight! The so-called luxury suite they parents stayed in for the night, was a basic room at the Element hotel (fine, but not what she calls a luxury suite! nor did the request anything more than a place to sleep since the bed had not been moved in by midnight), which was necessitated since they promised to have everything moved in and set up on the day of the move and did not. Were my 90 year old parents supposed to sleep on the couch? It was a problem of the moving company's own making since they showed up more than five hours late to the move. Her sentimental and caring sounding language is an insult to read, especially since she refused to answer any call ever (from my parents and myself) to discuss the problems. No apology ever. If you are considering using this unethical company then I urge you to go by the address and witness what a dirty and disgusting place it is and ask yourself if you trust them for your move (again, I have pictures I'd gladly share). Don't expect to be welcomed there (I actually have video of the encounter I had there of employees who themselves were very critical of the business and Sharon and Stuart). Why is it that years later she responds to a review as if it was yesterday and as if she remembers so many details? She has simply disregarded the ugly truth and made up a story in order to try and save what is clearly a dying business. Note that there is NO positive review in the last seven years. Again, buyer beware and stay far away from this unscrupulous business.
