I'm going to blow all my money here!

If you happen to be a fan of Mexican art & home decor this place can't be missed in Sedona! I walked in & knew I was in trouble because I wanted everything! Everything in the store was authentic & put together with great detail & love. I've spent many vacations all around Mexico & it felt like you entered into a city down South yet again. I happen to collect Milagros & I stumbled upon a large collection of them here purchasing a special work of art, a hand. Everyone at the store was also wonderful & friendly & I will definitely be back here on my next visit to Sedona!

Stopped in here on my trip to Sedona and what an amazing store this is! I fell in love with so many pieces in the store especially this floor vase, but unfortunately living all the way on the East Coast shipping was quite pricy. But I did manage to buy this beautiful woven basket that I'm absolutely in love with. And unfortunately I do not remember their names, but the two women I encountered who work there were unbelievable! As soon as we walked in we were greeted , told a brief history of the store, explained the layout of the building and was available for any questions that I had. She even helped get the basket that I ended up buying way from the top shelf. I so enjoyed talking to them and you could tell they love what they do. They even gave us restaurant recommendations and gave us 100% of their undivided attention it was top notch customer service. The manager or owner of this business should be very grateful for those employees that they have .. they were absolutely amazing. I so wish I lived closer to the store but I would have to re-mortgage my house probably from buying too much LOL. So in short if you're ever in Sedona I highly recommend taking a peek inside this beautiful place.

This was our first visit to Mexidona Importers last month and it won't be our last. We visit Sedona about every other year and so we were glad that we finally took the time to check it out. Perfect timing! I'm redecorating my kitchen!! We first shopped at Tlaquepaque's small Mexican shop-Casas Bonitas de Mexico and bought a few items. I bought 4 dinner plates (Talavera) and a couple gecko wall hangings. We moved on to Mexidona as the shop employee advised for better selection. Mexidona does have a better selection including furniture. I bought 2 more plates, screaming rooster (2), salt & pepper shakers, a creamer (that can also be used for salsa or a small flower pot), colorful napkins and black wrought iron napkin rings, and a pottery piece of a young braided girl holding flowers. My favorite piece is the sun with the blowing rays in a spash of colorful patterns. This piece hangs on my accent wall in my kitchen. (pictures uploaded on this site). My husband loves hot sauce and loves it hot! The owner opened up a couple bottles for him to try which I thought was really cool. We bought 2 bottles. The reason why I didn't score Mexidona a 5 star. No online ordering- This is a huge negative in my book. I shop online often and can only make it to Sedona every other year. This is a bit frustrating knowing they get new merchandise often. They have a website with photos of their merchandise but no prices so you have to call to get the price and place an order. The napkins that I bought in orange and yellow are very vibrant and beautiful but they did not have any green or blues in stock. The store employee who was very friendly showed me a printout of what the colors would look like and explained she could order and ship them to me. Our over all shopping experience was very pleasant. The prices are high but most items are handmade/painted and you really do get quality pieces that are unique.

I visit this store every time I visit Sedona. Its a wonderfully huge store filled with Mexican art, crafts, home furnishings and decor. Some very interesting rustic pieces and many unique/hard to find items. Most items appear to be of high quality and build which is rare these days. The staff is incredibly friendly and are quick to greet customers. I've never been to a store quite like it.

An employee who I now also assume is Eva from other reviews came outside and told me she was locking that door so I had to come inside. The mirror I really wanted was outside of that door though and I was confused because it was close to 5 but they close at 5:30 pm. I asked her if she could wait to lock the door but no- they close some sections earlier and apparently that couldn't wait. I left without buying any of the things and will spend my money somewhere that people don't chase me out. I have worked in customer service and in a tourist place and it often sucks. I didn't and don't expect smiles and friendliness, but at a bare minimum need to not be locked out of the area of a store 30 minutes before closing. There are a number of signs indicating it's easy to transgress their rules and get yelled at or ejected...so weird how very unfriendly the people at a shop with so many great things could be. Ps don't even think about trying to use the restroom if not a paying customer- you have to buy something and then the other lady will grudgingly hand over some toilet paper. Dang! I went in so happy and left so annoyed.

If you go into a decent furniture store, it should look pretty right as you enter it. Well, this place looks like you walked into the Salvation Army furniture store. Which would be fine if they had Salvation Army prices, but no! A two-seater leather sleeper of very undistinguished appearance will cost you close to $7000. Dining room tables are sold for $6000 - $10,000. If they were works of art, then yes that would be a price you would expect to pay. But they are not even attractive, much less artistic. My own recommendation is that you need to drive down to Phoenix. I highly recommend Copenhagen Imports, on Camelback. You will see pretty sights when you walk into that store. And, at the higher end of what this miserable Sedona establishment offers, you could buy fancy furniture are Roche Bobois. Yeah, these require driving to Phoenix, but what can I say. You can buy good art in Sedona, but you should drive down I-17 to buy decent furniture. Let me repeat. A furniture store is easy to judge. Just walk in the front door and cast your eyes around. You should see "pretty." If you don't, time to move on. It would be nice to support local Sedona businesses. But they have to be good.

They delivered the furniture and set up everything to look great. Our new dining room table (made by the Amish) and chairs are beautiful and so nicely made. We've gotten many compliments! We truly like the customer service and friendly staff. Happy to support a local business too!

Aside from the tea, they also sold all kinds of goodies--from traditional dresses to books to little trinkets--which I later found out that 70% of the products they sold here were handmade by their rural women & men. There was just so much to explore that my eyes and my heart were full and I haven't even had their teas yet. Another couple of things I found out later on while I indulged myself in more chai than I probably should have and scrolled through their website: (1) half of their profit goes to support women and children in Pakistan, and (2) this place is a "social-enterprise dedicated to peace-building and socio-economic empowerment of women and children in Pakistan." With that, truly, my heart and my belly could not be fuller and I'm so glad I made a point to visit this place at Tlaquepaque! There were some tables and chairs, as well as area rugs where groups sat crisscross applesauce, outside the store on the terrace since they're located on the second floor. They also had a few of these super charming balconies you can hang out and sip your drink at. If you're not in a rush, I think staying and having your tea there completes the whole experience. What we tried: Butter Chai - 5/5 Traditional Cardamom -4/5 Iced Black - 4/5 From the three drinks we got, my ultimate favorite was the Butter Chai. Apparently, they don't consider this as their best seller, but I have seen so many people rave about this particular drink and I couldn't be happier that I went for it. It was the perfect symphony of sweet and creamy with the spices not being too overwhelming. I didn't know that it came with some toppings of crushed pistachios too, but they make sure to ask if you're okay with that when you order. Overall, this one's quite a special place. If you get a chance to stroll around the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, I highly recommend you stop by here!
