Twice we have been to this eatery, months apart and at different times of the day, and it is phenomenal! The food is delicious, the staff are so chill, super clean, and the vibe is immaculate. Has this become a favorite spot in Flagstaff? Absolutely! Are we already thinking of what to have the next time we are in town? Hell yeah we are! So far we have tried the Dude Ranch, garlic knots, signature meatball sub (with fries), and the hot hammy and cheese sub (with side salad). We recommend all of it! We came to Urban Pine Eatery because we were starving and luckily got a table for four right away. Just a heads up, they don't take reservations. It's a small place, but really cute with an earthy, modern, trendy vibe. We ordered the Sweet Heat flatbread, chicken tenders, Parmesan taters with ranch, and the Superfood Bowl salad. With tip, we spent around $52, which I thought was very reasonable. Everything was really good, but I especially loved the Superfood Bowl. It was packed with avocado, corn, tomatoes, and lots of fresh, healthy goodness. The Sweet Heat flatbread was delicious too--the pepperoni and flavors were just so good. We stopped in here for an early dinner on Easter weekend Sunday before dropping the girls off at the dorms and heading back down to Phoenix. This corner café just opened and took over the spot from a Mediterranean place a year or so ago. This is my first time in. The service here was really great. The servers are very friendly. They brought food to the table and they checked on us. The café seemed clean and bright with great views of the historic downtown Flagstaff streets for people watching. There are also some small patio tables and chairs in front of the café on the sidewalk if you want to sit and eat outside. Gender neutral, clean restroom inside for customers. This place has a welcoming warm environment filled with lots of living plants and butcher style components. During our visit here my family and I opted for various menu items. Pizza, garlic knots, salads, chicken tenders and fries. While the salads look so good and sound amazing, the dressings did not dress the salad well. The vinegar undertones for the "zesty Italian" misses the Zesty.. It was sadly underwhelming but the salad components were fresh and crunchy as one would desire. My daughter ordered the arugulas orchid salad and she also said the dressing was lacking and was not helping. Plus some ingredients were missing from her salad as they ran out. The pizza on the other hand is absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it! The under carriage is perfectly crisp and the toppings are fresh and placed with love. The bite into the pizza has me drooling even thinking about it. (The young male chef- did tell me he was departing so hopefully whomever they hire next in his spot won't disappoint). The garlic knots were phenomenal and were loved by everyone including my littlest and most pickiest eater. They come with a side of marinara and to be clear - the garlic knots alone were worthy even without the dipping sauce. The chicken tenders were ok, and the potato wedges were super thick and unfortunately came to us a bit raw.. so we opted to not eat them, even though we were offered a fix. Urban Pine Eatery's bathroom is spacious and cute and has a lock for consumer privacy. The bathroom is labeled both genders (male/female.) The seating ranges from pub style (up high) to table side (standard sizing) and while the inside is small and cozy, there is also outdoor seating along the street next to the building. All tables are 4-tops unless you steal a seat from another table. The only extra seating available for a family of more than 4 is the pub style seating facing outdoors like a lineup. If my memory serves me right, there are 7-8 seats along there. Overall - I would truly recommend this little spot for pizza and garlic bread. While the menu is on the pricier side $12 for a single 12"x4" flatbread and $9 for approx 8 small bread knots - those two options are remarkable. *Removed one star due to missing salad ingredient, watered down dressing and potato wedges being undercooked and raw. read more

What a pleasant experience! We came on a Saturday afternoon after shopping downtown Flagstaff. The restaurant is cute, cozy and stylish. I love the whole design of the inside. On a nice day, it would be beautiful to sit outside too and people watch. My sis and I shared a chicken parm sandwich, fries and Caesar salad. The seasoning on top of the sandwich bread was top notch and really added a tasty kick to it! The flatbreads also looked incredible so I'll be sure to come back for that. This was a great place for a late lunch in Flagstaff. Even around 3:30 (not lunch/not dinner) the place had a steady stream of customers. It's a simple menu of salads, subs and flatbread pizzas. I got the super food boost salad that came with lots of veggies, black beans and quinoa. I've been on the road for several days so it hasn't been easy to find fresh, whole foods when dining out. The salad was so good and just what my body needed. They have cute woodsy decor and the place is immaculately clean. It's locally owned and has street parking in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. Visible food on the floor- needs a quick sweep or mop once in a while during the shifts, perhaps? Service was okay- seemed busy, confused by orders coming in and out, not the friendliest or most attentive staff. I asked about vegetarian options and she said she "thinks this one"... being able to recommend items to meet customer needs is key. Food was good, my flatbread was different, unique. Maybe too much arugula on top. But I had the arugula salad too, which was the best part of my meal. Great combo of apples, walnuts, dressing. The fries were not at all spicy, imo, but I'm an Arizonan and eat a lot of spicy foods, my taste buds may be over actively stimulated by my regular diet. We've been here a few times and are very happy about everything. The staff is very friendly, especially the owner Christa (sp?). Be patient.
