I used to really like this place since their bagels were better than biffs but they have gotten my order wrong the past several times I've been. This last time was the worst one though. I order a bagel sandwich with the sauce on the side and they forgot the sauce so my sandwich was bland and dry. They didn't cut my other sandwich in half and it was hard as a brick. The lady working the drive through gave me my food then closed the window and didn't give me the drink I ordered. I waited for a couple minutes for her to come back and told her I'm waiting on my drink. Waited a couple more minutes and was given a small horchata when I ordered a large. read more

Second time trying it, still hits. Got the wanda this time, everything combined so well and the bagel was so good. Fat bagels became my go-to breakfast in Flagstaff. read more

Great bagel spot with convenient drive through option as well. I added the schmear to my classic egg bagel and it really took it to another level. My boyfriend tried the Miss Piggy on a rosemary salt bagel and loved it. Definitely a great quick breakfast spot on a simple morning or, for us, a before hike fuel. read more

Got some bagels here through the drive-through on the way to Navajo National Monument. As soon as my husband and I looked at the cinnamon raisin bagel we knew it would be delicious. Fat and dark with sugar crystals on the outside. We also got some everything bagels to go for lunch at Navajo NM. We just got the bagels and used my own homemade cream cheese that I make by straining my homemade dairy-free yogurt. We also used some veggies we brought with us. It was a delicious bagel sandwich lunch at the beautiful park. They do have vegan cream cheese available. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite! read more

Staff works quick in this popular place. Got a parking space and hoping I can pull out and or go forward due to what looks like a drive thru line. Convenient but it takes couple minutes to toast and smear bagels so that drive line doesn't move up quickly. Looking forward to my Miss Piggy w bacon eggs and pistachio mortadella- which I think is cheese. Yes- my bagel was toasted to perfection and the ham was SO good. Lots and lots of jalapenos on my bagel too. So perfect. A lovely visit for a lovely fat bagel ! read more

Got two bagels and two coffees here and we enjoyed it! A little pricy for what we got but the lunch bagels were a good size and filled us up for lunch. Good flavors and the Kenai lunch bagel was amazing! read more

My favorite bagels in town! Good drinks, bagels have a nice texture, and all the accouterments one could ask for.

Really 3.5 stars but rounding up for exceptionally fast and kind service. Stopped by Fat Bagels on a Saturday morning to try out their menu. We ordered a Classic bagel (added bacon) and a Gobbler on a salt bagel. The Gobbler was delicious! It had a very generous portion of turkey. The honey was key for flavor as there was barely any cheese. On the other hand, the Classic came with cheddar instead of the requested American cheese. The bagel was a bit dry and the whole taste experience felt like it lacked flavor. Something to note about the Classic bagel order: it does not come with protein. You'll need to ask for an add on. One other note is that there is no "build your own" bagel option. We found that to be a bit strange and it seemed to make the ordering process more complicated and less intuitive. There is a drive-thru that was quite busy. You can dine inside but probably more of a takeout spot. read more

First visit, Sunday morning. I ordered the Kaiti and mango green tea. The Kaiti was good but had the thinnest amount of avocado added. Apprantly, that's how they make them because we ordered two Kaiti's and they both only had a smear of avocado. The mango green tea was very bitter. I had to add sweetener to make it drinkable. The service was fine. There's not a ton of seating but we still were able to eat inside with a few places to sit. read more

Love love love! We discovered it when picking up dinner from Fat Olives, and I love bagels so we tried it one morning. Loved it so much, we had it again the morning we headed back home. It's a small place, and we didn't have to wait too long in line or for our food. The price was good as well! I got the orange juice both days, an onion bagel the first day, and a garlic bagel the next day, both with chive schmear. The bagels were very good, and the cream cheese as well! And the juice, I loved it. Bummer it doesn't come in a bigger size. I really loved the flavor each time and the amount of cream cheese I think is perfect, not too much but definitely enough for every bite. The service was also very nice each morning, both at the register and when giving us our food. It can get busy and a little tight in there, but it's well worth the food. We ate in the car both mornings just because I'm not a fan of smaller spaces that are a bit filled. Next time we come through Flagstaff we are definitely stopping by again for breakfast. read more

I ordered the Wanda and opted out for the garlic bagel and it was SO GOOD!! These bagels have to be the closest to New York bagels that I have tried- which has been hard to find because ifykyk. New York bagels are unmatched and these were perfect!! I loved the pastrami and scrambled eggs in the bagels you can tell both were very fresh!! I loved all the protein offered in these bagels as well. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. The shop itself is small and cozy but the perfect place to bring your family or eat by yourself. read more

The shop was small with a pretty busy drive through, but if you order inside there was next to no line. I got the flagstaff Philly on a garlic bagel, which I thought was a (4/5). The garlic bagel itself was delicious, super garlicky, one of the best I've had. The cheesesteak content I thought was a little bland, but it did have a really good cheese pull. I also got a chocolate croissant (4/5) the croissant was flaky and buttery, it was just 90% croissant 10% chocolate. The chocolate was super delicious though, it was a good mix between milky and dark chocolate. read more

Delicious bagel shop in Flagstaff- - NY style - had hoped to snag a salt one but they were out late morning. Order inside or via drive thru. I consider myself something of a bagel connoisseur. Bagels are my sport. They are my muse. I love making homemade bagels and if you ask me what I want for breakfast it will 100% be bagel-related. Fat Bagels gets 1,000 stars from me. The schmear is generous, the bagels are cooked and seasoned perfectly, the eggs are real and fresh. Service was great and lightning packed. There was a line approaching the door when I ordered and my coffee and dirty chai came out before I finished using the restroom. Excellent! read more

Amazing products, so so delicious. However they put way too much cream cheese on these. Half of what they put on would still be plenty.

Love their bagels! Always fresh. The lemon bagel is outstanding such an unexpected pleasure!

This place is hard to miss when driving along old Route 66 in Flagstaff, especially since it's located right next to Fat Olive. I decided to stop by and grab some bagels before leaving town. It was Sunday at 11 a.m., and while the parking lot was only half full, the inside was bustling. I noticed a sign for online order pickups, so I skipped the line and placed my order online. Although they don't have an online ordering link on Yelp, a quick Google search for "Fat Bagel online order" did the trick. The estimated wait time was 30 minutes, but my order was ready in just 10. They seemed well-staffed and very efficient. As for the bagels, they were decent, though nothing particularly special. It's worth noting that they also have a drive-thru, which adds to the convenience. read more

I can't improve on the great reviews for Fat Bagels. EZ to brag that I asked someone on the Grand Canyon Railroad yesterday ( in Williams 30 miles down the mountain) where to get the best breakfast in Flagstaff? Sierra never stopped talking to her passengers but quickly turned to me and said "Fat Bagel" is the best! We agree. It was a Friday morning around 9:00 and fairly quiet. We had orders filled in less than ten minutes. Eating in is available , though there is plenty of parking and drive thru for those who need to know. I had a simple classic bagel with egg and cheese. I should have had schmer on it but was busy chatting during order. It was very good. Just dry. Husband had a fancier version with avocado and more. Very good. Bagels were very lovely chew on the outside fluff in the middle. Service was excellent. Ambiance was very tasteful including extraordinary art and color selection. Go for it. read more

The bagels are great, I give them a solid 4 stars!! My everything was nicely coated and it was crusty. The Asiago had a nice crust of cheese as well although only on the very center of the bagel. Now the cons which lost one star. I asked for a toasted bagel. it is toasted so lightly that it barely gets a crunch. They are a bit doughy so I would scoop out the inside next time. They don't do fried eggs only scrambled but they were very good! They gave me cheese instead of bacon but quickly made me a new bagel. The light roast is water with coffee essence, and their dark roast is just awful tasting.t read more

This place was great. So many bagel options and the best customer service in AZ. Came in a total of 3 times while on our trips, and even took some day old bagels home. Fat Bagels in Flagstaff is next level! I had the Kaiti Joe on an everything bagel with scrambled eggs, hash browns, avocado, and pepper jack. I added bacon and cream cheese--and let me tell you, it was absolutely fire. Every bite was stacked with flavor, perfectly balanced, and insanely satisfying. The service was great--friendly, fast, and helpful. Prices are totally fair for the quality and portions you get. The vibe inside is exactly what you'd hope for from a real-deal bagel shop: vibrant colors, a cozy, upbeat atmosphere, the smell of fresh bagels and hot coffee in the air--it just hits different. Bonus points for the artwork on the walls, especially the painting of Anthony Bourdain. That one hit me. RIP brother. If you're in Flagstaff, don't miss this spot. This is the second time I have been here and let me tell you... it's awesome! First time I got an Asiago bagel and it was great. This time, I ordered the miss piggy breakfast bagel. This might be one of the best bagel sandwiches I have ever had! I also ordered a brown sugar cinnamon latte. It is pretty sweet but I like it that way so it was fine for me! Inside is simple and clean, and they were playing some good music. Really personable employees as well, I will definitely be back! read more

Okay so I've been coming here on and off ever since they opened. I am compelled to write this review today because this is one of the worst breakfasts I've had in flagstaff. We came in wed 9/16. The restaurant was empty. The girl who took our order looked confused that my wife wanted a sandwich on a bagel and not 9 grain bread. At a bagel shop. She also wanted to add schmear to it. Not an unusual request, I think. The register girl had to go ask if it was okay for my wife to order this, and how to punch it into the computer. I ordered a bagel with LIGHT cream cheese and a coffee like I always do. It came out with an absurd amount of cream cheese on it like it always does. It also was barely toasted. When I brought it to the counter to ask for it to be toasted, the same girl who took our order said "oh all our bagels come toasted" and just stared at me like it wasn't her problem. I came to the counter with a complaint and they basically told me I was wrong and to go sit back down. Whatever I'll just wipe gobs of cream cheese off of my barely toasted bagel with a napkin. Gross. EVERY SINGLE TIME I come here this is the case. I was feeling extra hungry this morning so I got a classic breakfast sandwich with bacon, also. The bacon was thin and there was not a lot of it on the sandwich. The eggs were probably steamed into a patty shape that just comes off as being microwaved. I felt like I couldn't take things to the counter to show them because I would just be wrong and sent back to my table and told to eat what they made me. Oh and their coffee has never been good. Even the good meals I've had there(which, honestly is not very many) the coffee has always been just horrible. Espresso or drip, doesn't matter it's watery, flavorless, and just a total disappointment. This place is only good for getting a half dozen or dozen bag to take home and make yourself, as the bagels themselves are pretty good. Don't get anything else here lest you be disappointed by watered down coffee, barely toasted bagels with way too much cream cheese, or a sandwich with a rubbery microwaved egg patty on it. Oh and did I mention it's pretty pricey too? For the price, I would expect it to be even a little better than an Einstein bros bagel, but it's not. In fact it's worse than that in every way. Get it together fat bagels, there is a lot of potential there. It's a shame because most of their business is just globbing cream cheese onto bagels and they can barely do that right. read more

I was greeted promptly with a smile and my order taken quickly and efficiently. The inside is small and clean. Both of our bagel sandwiches were very tasty and filling. I asked if they had cappuccinos which weren't in the menu and they said they did offer them. The bagels were perfectly soft and chewy. Both sandwiches were seasoned well and very flavorful. If you like bagels, this is the perfect spot to stop for breakfast or lunch, or just to grab a coffee. read more
