I usually love this spot, but today's to-go order was a letdown. I ordered the Hero Salad, which has the potential to be amazing -- but the kitchen completely missed the mark. They forgot the gyro meat entirely, leaving me with a protein-less kale salad. On top of that, they only included half a small ramekin of tahini dressing -- barely enough for a quarter of the greens. Who wants a dry kale salad? To make matters worse, the pita was cold and not toasted, which made the whole meal feel like an afterthought. This place has such a great menu and loyal customers, but issues like this -- poor execution, missed ingredients, and lack of attention to takeout orders -- are a quick way to lose trust. We only spent this morning in flagstaff and holy, it was super indie hipster! I'm vegan so we found something that would have vegan items and this was the place! Took me back to 2011 hipster era! Love love love! I got a dirty chai and a hummus wrap, both amazing! It was cool just sitting there have our meal. Everything was so relaxed! The staff were a bit upset that morning, not smiling, and kind if threw a side of avocado on the table when my boyfriend forgot to ask for it in the initial order, but that's ok, we weren't bothered too much by it. We were delightfully impressed. The Roost sandwich was large and delish full of chicken salad with nuts, salad and tomatoes and the Mother Load Hoagie was super good with succulent roast beef, cheese, garlic aioli and giardiniera on a hoagie making it scrumptiously good. The tomato bisque was robust and very good with shaved parm.We also got their chocolate chip cookies which were chewy and big, and their Flagstaff Fog was our favorite with honey lavender, earl grey and half and half! Their can of ginger ale was only 1.50. The staff was kind and helpful.Not to mention, their bathrooms are individual and very clean! Disabled friendly with plenty of parking. Still, they convinced me to get the chili with my order because the burritos may not fill me up. Sometimes, I bring the kids for brunch (they love the waffles) or just stop by to grab them a smoothie (my son's favorite is the Boatman's Breakfast without the coffee.) Most of the time I bring my laptop for a working lunch. Their brown sugar chai, The Chrissy, is my favorite drink in town.
