    Breakfast burrito

Decided to try a new spot and Gloria's did not disappoint! Not too large inside which I like giving it more of a personal feel, like your abuela is cooking for you. It started to get busy as well when we were there. Tried a little bit of everything with our group, I love the variety of chilaquiles they had and everything tasted amazing. You can tell everything is freshly made, even the pastries.

I ordered two breakfast burritos to go. The service was prompt and friendly. They showed me all of the burrito options offered and were happy to customize my order. There was plenty of inside seating. The burritos came with both red and green salsas, which were tasty with the right amount of heat. Hubby had sausage and I had chorizo for the meat options. Both were plentiful and delicious. If you want good breakfast burritos, you should def go to a Mexican bakery. Gloria's sure fit the bill!

If you are an NAU student or are visiting Flagstaff, you need to do yourself a favor and go to Gloria's. This became one of my go-to spots during my last two years up there to get a burrito and a delicious pastry. The staff are so kind and the service is exceptional. Waits aren't really a problem, even when it is busy, and they are very attentive. The restaurant is cute, and there are a ton of tables. I've never had an issue with spontaneously getting breakfast or dinner there on weekdays. They have a lot of great specials in addition to their menu, so it's hard to recommend specific dishes, but you can't go wrong with getting a burrito. I love their carne asada and their birria is so tasty--it melts right in your mouth. Come in the morning to snag some pastries. They have conchas, cinnamon rolls, you name it. In the past when I went, there was a long line, but that was a Sunday so it could've just been the church crowd.

Cozy little spot with tasty tacos. I had the shredded beef with the cheese and avocado it was just what I needed . Their coffee is delicious and also had to get some pan dulce for later. Definitely try their horchata as well not too sweet and is perfect to enjoy with a good amount of ice .

The food was delicious and service was great! We also purchased bread to go. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks good!

Gloria's Bakery is an authentic Mexican Bakery/Restaurant. It is so trendy! The thriving plants all around the restaurant give it an inviting touch Now let's talk about the food and baked goods. I've always stopped by for the Strawberries and Cream and a bottle of Coke when I'm in the area. As I came in for my quick ToGo order I noticed the chips and salsa on someones table. The perfect consistency of fresh charred peppers, tomatoes and onions. I had to order some with my to go order. Holy moly!! This has got to be the freshest salsa I've ever had. Homemade chips to complement the party that was going on in my mouth. Fast forward.. I had to come back the next day to try their food out. What I ordered was Birria Tacos which was perfectly seasoned melt in your mouth shredded beef. The plate came with a inside of rice and refried beans. The authenticity tasted in the beans. A faint pork lard touch. My friend ordered the Beef Quesadilla and he said it was delicious For dessert I ordered the Tres Leche Cake. Perfection! Moist, and fresh. The homemade whipped cream and fresh strawberries inside all paired so well. Not one ingredient overpowered the other. Being in the food industry my whole life I highly recommend this Restaurant as a Must Try. They are revitalizing the area. This is a hidden gem I have to share. Enjoy

This place is top notch. The traditional burrito with steak was amazing! The flavor was on point but also how they cooked it. Just perfectly done, not burned but hot. Everything was good, staff was super nice! We had a young waitress who did great. The bathrooms were spotless too. Only one mile off the interstate. If I was local I would come here often!

    Tres Leches French Toast.

We stopped here on our roadtrip. We got the Tres Leches French Toast, Concha Rellena and a cup of the Cafe de Olla. We even got some pan for the road. My son devoured the French Toast, I was able to snag one bite. Service was super friendly too. Definitely stopping anytime I pass through Flagstaff.

Let's try something new! Hard to find, but worth the hunt. Immediately sat down and met by a cordial waitress. Quaint decor. Exquisitely clean restrooms. The food is authentic Mexico.

Amazing place and amazing food. Great atmosphere and the pastries are yummy! I highly recommend

Went to Gloria's multiple times during our trip to Flagstaff and every visit was wonderful! The breakfast options were delicious, You have to try the tres leches French toast. The Mexican food was also amazing... great tortillas, well seasoned meat, all the sauces were so good. The pan dulce was amazing. We will definitely be back!!!!

I've eaten here countless times and I'm never disappointed. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. I can truly say there's nothing bad on this menu! The staff is always super welcoming and friendly and the ambiance is refreshing. It's a smaller space and it does get pretty busy, so be aware of that. The best part is that the cafe is family owned, with roots in Playa del Carmen, MX. I HIGHLY recommend Madrez if you're looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican brunch spot. Support local!

My partner and I ordered a chorizo burrito, a skillet poblano, and a plain waffle. While everything was just okay, it honestly felt like something we could have made better at home. I especially wouldn't recommend the waffles -- they were very airy, almost like toast, and at $14 they just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it's not somewhere I'd return to.

We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups!

We were intrigued enough that we visited MartAnne's the very next night for dinner. That was on a Tuesday at around 6PM and it wasn't too busy the entire time we were there. House Horchata ($5.99) - This drink comes in a giant 32 oz Ball jar with tons of ice. Per the server it's made with milk and condensed milk, no rice milk at all. It's rich, thick, creamy, sweet, filled with earthy notes of vanilla and cinnamon. There's so much spice included that at some points, there's almost a gritty feeling while drinking. It's perfect for a hot day after hiking. Buckwheat Pancake ala carte ($4.99) - Buckwheat pancakes are something we've never seen before on a diner menu in the past. It seems to be pretty common around Arizona, so we had to give it a try before leaving Flagstaff. This one's pretty big, almost plate sized. It's really moist, fluffy, bouncy, and light with a slight sweetness and a certain earthy flavor. It's moist enough that it sticks to the ceramic plate it's served on. The pancake is somewhat crumbly due to the low gluten content of buckwheat, although I believe they use a mix of buckwheat and wheat flour to give some more stability. It's bluish grey in color with black specks of ground buckwheat throughout. It's dusted with powdered sugar, but it's not a ton, making the pancake not really sweet at all. The pancake comes with a small cup of their cinnamon honey butter. It's not mixed that well, leaving it mostly unhomogenized with streaks of honey and spice through the softened salted butter. Tamale ala carte ($4.99) - MartAnne's offers two types of tamales - the first a red chile beef, and the second a green corn and cheese. We went with the latter, which is a homemade tamale with a somewhat looser, coarsely ground masa shell surrounding an interior of yellow sweet corn kernels, a bouncy and somewhat spongy block of Oaxaca cheese, and a fragrant green chile. There's a slight sweetness throughout and the tamale overall is easy to eat. Chilaquiles, Xmas, Fratelli ($17.99) - This is a monster sized plate of a mishmash of ingredients. There are three things as essentially a base layer. Firstly some Mexican rice that's tender, moist, and fluffy, totally unlike the more common dry and and compact version. My guess is that they skip the initial frying step that helps keeps the starch together. It's quite fragrant and has gives a bit of heat. On top of the rice is a layer of hash browns. The potatoes are tender on the interior, griddled on one side to give a delightful crunch, although there's some acridity that develops. Another third of the plate is covered with chili beans - tender pinto beans that are well salted and seasoned. Then there's the eggs stuffed in between layers of corn tortilla chips, smothered with sauce. I went with the Christmas combination of red and green sauce, followed up by the Fratelli-style pork green chile. The green sauce is fragrant and vegetal, while the red sauce is more smoky. The pork, which is cut into chunks, on top is a bit tough and dry but there's more than enough sauce to make up for that slight demerit. Finally, there's a small mound of I believe jalapeno peppers, cut into small neon-green colored pieces. Some pieces are spicy, some are mild, all have a vegetal pepper taste. I found the food at MartAnne's to be pretty good. It definitely hits the spot after hiking all around the area for most of the day. Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Note: MartAnne's charges a 3.5% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu.
