Such an awesome addition to the area! The restaurant is clean and inviting. If you get there early, they have a sizable selection of bagels to choose from. The newest bagel joint to join the community of Flagstaff. This drive up bagel spot is changing how Flagstaff does breakfast. I stopped by recently with my brother and best friend to grab a meal before making the drive back to Phoenix. I ordered their turkey sandwich on the asiago bagel. This was topped with swiss cheese, avocado, tomato and coleslaw. While this menu item was yummy, the true star of the show at Fat Bagels is their breakfast sammies. I was able to sample my brother's Miss Piggy, a bagel loaded with hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and pistachio mortadella. In the future, I'd probably order this route instead! There's seating available inside the restaurant, but it's also super convenient that they have a drive-through for grab and go. They also have a seperate menu loaded with caffeinated goodies. We'd been eyeing Fat Bagels since it opened, and this past Friday morning was finally the perfect time to try it out. Knowing it's owned by John Conley (of Fat Olives and Salsa Brava fame), we came in with high expectations, and it absolutely delivered! I had the Miss Piggy, which came loaded with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, hashbrowns, applewood smoked bacon, and pistachio mortadella on a toasted asiago bagel. It was deliciously indulgent--worth every bite! The fresh-squeezed orange juice was also fantastic and lived up to its name, bursting with freshness. As a bonus, the sandwich portion was generous, so I saved half for the next morning, and it reheated beautifully in the toaster oven (and I'm picky about leftovers!). Our only issue was the excessive amount of cream cheese, we each scraped half the cream cheese off so we could taste the bagel. Interesting concept, was on my way out of town saw fat bagels next to fat olives where I ate the night before and I was craving a morning breakfast sandwich. Interesting with the eggs they're square and they're completely cooked but it's not a conventional egg. It's an egg mix that's cooked off then cut into squares much like you would sheet pie or sheet cake, cheddar cheese and was Excellent really good. Coffee regular brew kind of weak but still good orange juice was fresh squeezed a bit expensive but I can see the cost. Service was fantastic and the place was clean. What else could you ask for? Arrived in the late morning and it was very busy! The drive thru line was to the road, so we elected to order inside. Walking in, we enjoyed the ambiance and plenty of seating. Ordering was very fast and our food was quickly made, even though there was a rush. We got the Miss Piggy and Leo (added sun-dried tomato cream cheese and cucumber). Both were really good! The garlic bagel was soft, but with a crunch on the edge. The flavor on both was really yummy and we quickly finished. We'll definitely be back to try more! The price also wasn't bad. I have absolutely loved Fat Bagels and my partner and I go in every once a month or so but today was so incredibly different than I had experienced. While the bagels were fantastic, the gal that rang us up was incredibly rude and perhaps even racist. She refused to put my friend's name (very clearly a Mexican/Spanish/Latin name) on the order (said 'Ok' and then rolled her eyes) and then told us they do not do iced coffee (which was fine) but made us feel bad about getting an Americano instead. My husband have visited Fat Bagels a couple times. The bagels are good but I don't recommend breakfast sandwiches that have eggs. On our first visit my husband and I split a bagel breakfast sandwich that included egg, avocado, sausage and maybe onion. It might have been called Kaitlin. The sandwich tasted very good but the eggs looked weird because they were a solid layer of uniform color. I later found out from the manager that the eggs were precooked patties heated up in the microwave. On our first visit we also split a sesame bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. Fat Bagels offers a variety of cereal cheese flavors. The bagel was fresh. I like that Fat Bagels offers a choice between light and dark roast coffee. We choose light roast and it was good. The staff is friendly The parking lot is not huge, nor is the interior seating. In our first visit we came right before the 2:00 closing. We got a parking spot. Decided to try this place yesterday around 130pm lucky I made it before close at 2pm. Couple people in line in front of me. Went with a bag of yesterday bagels, a roasted garlic cream cheese, and a turkey sandwich on an everything bagel. All this for 25.00 bucks ! Bagel was so delicious. Sandwich wasn't anything to special but I will def be back for a bagel and cream cheese. Excited for drive thru too! They have a good selection of bagel flavors and cream cheese flavors. They also have breakfast burritos which I did get the potato and cheese, my husband got bagels with a tub of cream cheese. We went through the drive thru and service was quick. Best bagel I've had in a lonnnnnnngggg time! Definitely rivals East Coast bagels that I'm accustomed to. Also, service was top-notch! Unlike many places--especially fast food joints--that have one or two employees moping around, Fat Bagels had about eight or nine clean cut, smiling, and busy employees. We didn't have any troubles, but someone next to us had something wrong with a big to-go order, and we saw at least three employees apologize and promise they'd have him on his way soon. The tables and bathrooms were well equipped and clean. Not that it deducts from my review, but if you're looking for a place with WiFi and room to work, there isn't any room to do that. Beware of the FAT FRENCH DIP sandwich as it starts out on an undersized, tiny bagel way smaller than their other bagels. It was steaming hot and the meat had no flavor at all. The au jus had no flavor also and was served in a regular drinking cup that prevents dipping. I do agree with other reviews, the bagels are on the small side and in my opinion overpriced, BUT they are soft and crunchy and delicious. Definitely a more convenient option for those who don't want to deal with navigating downtown Flag for Biff's. I've tried the veggie bagel sandwich (added sun-dried tomato cream cheese), the BLT with roasted garlic CC, and the classic breakfast sandwich with bacon. Best bagel place I've had by far everything tasted fresh and there was so many different variety of bagels. They were also fast with it.

Good bagels however when I paid they added a "Flagstaff Service Charge" on top of the 11 percent food tax. Why not just increase price of your already high priced food. I think they do it as most will not see the extra charge. Bad Business practices. read more

As a former New Yorker, who has recently moved to Arizona, as you might imagine I am quite disappointed at what some places here call bagels, which which in reality are just small round loaves of bread with holes in them. I admit that Bruegger's is not bad, Einsteins is OK, but I had not had anything that even resembled a true New York bagel until stopping at Fat Bagels during a road trip through Flagstaff. These are without a doubt, the best bagels I've had and Arizona and absolutely rival those from New York. They are crunchy on the outside, soft yet not doughy on the inside, and even when I ate one the next day, I didn't have to toast it to bring it back to life. I can't speak for anything else they sell there as we simply got a half a dozen bagels to bring home to Hereford but I wish it wasn't a 10 hour round-trip drive to get them again. read more

So excited to leave this review. We happened upon this place as we were driving through town and decided to try it for breakfast today. It's such a cute place, we didn't go inside but the drive thru was quick, efficient and the staff were incredibly friendly and personable. We ordered hot bagel breakfast sandwiches on everything bagels with bacon and a plain bagel with cream cheese. It was so fresh, and so tasty. We normally have a rule while we travel that we never go anywhere twice, but we will definitely stop here on our way out. It was so delicious and I can't get over how quickly everything came out as well. They have a large menu, and I'm sure everything is good, but it is definitely worth checking out for breakfast. read more
