Blueberry scone, minus a big bite
    Allison P.

Admittedly, we were drawn in because of some other person's negative review of the scones - something told us we should stop in! Smells of fresh baked bread, with several options to choose from and freshly baked pastries. We had scones (which were very good and not rock hard as that other lady would have you believe), peach turnover (mildly sweet with an excellent pastry shell), chocolate croissant (lots of delicious filling), and a cinnamon role (good, but probably 100x better if it was warmed - we didn't get to ours until it was cold - 10 seconds in the microwave would have made it even better). Friendly service by the owners who arrive bright and early to start baking.

Soft in the middle, otherwise, crumbly hard ;-(
    Laurie G.

Regarding service, very pleasant and the aroma was delicious BUT read on: I really wanted to like this place because I am committed to supporting local. Unfortunately, I can't give a very good review. We had two pastries that we ultimately couldn't even eat. I currently have sores in my mouth from where the hard pastry cut into my cheeks. One item was a scone, the other was a raspberry danish. The raspberry danish center was okay, a little on the tart side, the cheese wasn't very flavorful and the outer pastry ring was hard. The scone was rock hard. Really could not enjoy it at all. I'm going to try to take a video of pieces of the scone that I'm tapping together percussion style.

A Croissant and fresh blueberry danishes

Support our local business. Bread do good love the danishes and scones. Great Croissants. Plz go check them out. Nicest ppl you can even order ahead. If you into fresh homemade bread and not over sweetened American stuff you will love this place.

Me and my wife came here on our honeymoon over 6 months ago. We try a lot of different bakeries during our travels, this is by far the best bakery ever and we couldn't wait to come back. Went back yesterday and there was a older gentleman working the counter, he was quite grumpy and a little rude but you can talk to me however you want if you keep making these baked goods just the way they are. If you're in the area you have to try the village baker! I will easily spend almost 30 dollars here and not feel bad about it.

Marble rye loaf... too sexy to just show its crust!

Yummy danishes. When you walk in the shop, it smells amazing. Note though that they really don't sell anything except baked goods.

Very limited choices for bread. Only 3 types of pastry in the case. Construction going on in the waiting area. Not a great atmosphere

Best bread in town. Fresh. Lots of options. Always visit when I'm in Flagstaff. Get there early as some stuff runs out.

There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is especially impressive. They have what looked like a private dining space inside a barn-style shed, several gas fire pits, and even a slightly elevated platform that looked perfect for live music. Ordering is simple -- you place both food and drink orders at the counter, then they bring everything out to your table. Even though the place was busy, the food came out fast and piping hot. The food itself was outstanding. I ordered the chicken and biscuits and my wife got the chilaquiles. Both portions were huge. The chicken and biscuits were exactly what I was hoping for: smothered in rich country gravy with a perfectly fried flattened chicken breast that was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The buttermilk biscuit was golden, flaky, buttery, and had the perfect balance of soft interior and crisp edges. I honestly got full halfway through my plate and never even got a chance to try the wife's chilaquiles. The drip coffee was excellent too -- simple, hot, and exactly what good breakfast coffee should be. There's street parking along with a small parking lot across the street. Easily one of the best breakfast spots we've been to.

Family and I (group of 8) recently grabbed breakfast at Tourist Home Flagstaff Café. It was the…read moreday after NAU graduation (Saturday), and we were pleasantly surprised to find plenty of outdoor seating (probably a little result of too much celebrating the night prior). We had placed our orders inside and were sent away with a number on a stand for our table. The gal that waited on us was very patient and uber-friendly taking our orders - luckily there was no one behind us and she took the time to answer all of our questions. I feel like we'd only been seated just a hot second when the food arrived! Fabulous service - quick and friendly and always with a smile. Hubby and I each got a cup of fresh brewed coffee that did not disappoint! Not too weak, not too strong... brewed to perfection! My husband ordered the chicken and biscuit and I the chilaquiles Christmas style. Lord have mercy both of these dishes were the bomb! Not only plenty of food but super tasty - I had my chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and they also came with about 1/2 a freshly sliced avocado. Nice, tangy flavor and sprinkled with just the right amount of cotija cheese! Shared with the table and still had leftovers (and I'm not mad about it). Husband's dish was perfection - the perfect biscuit combo - fluffy, chewy and crunchy in all the right places, and the gravy not overly seasoned or salty. Chicken was a breaded/fried (possibly baked) and cooked/seasoned just right. Inner meat was tender and moist and outside of course was crunchy - batter was well seasoned and breast didn't seem greasy at all. I worked in a mom-and-pop coffee shop decades ago - everything was homemade and fresh and the coffee 2 die 4. This establishment brought me back to those times in regard to coffee/food quality and hospitality! Will 100p be returning when next we're in town!

Front of house was warm, attentive, and completely on it, the kind of hospitality that sets the tone right away. Food came out quickly without feeling rushed, and every plate delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The steak was cooked perfectly (chef's kiss), and the chimichurri had that bright balance. The prosciutto in the Savory Croissant Waffle was a star. Also, shoutout to a place that can genuinely do both coffee and food well. That's rarer than it should be. I'd happily come back just to sit with a latte and a chocolate croissant. Elite-worthy stop, no question.

We opted for a hot vanilla oatmilk latte and a Matcha Americano. We got both of these to go. The vanilla latte didn't have any sweetener or vanilla in it. I'm not sure if they maybe put a little bit but nothing really pulled through. The coffee itself was extremely strong, which is not a bad thing considering we were on our truck back home so it's a good thing to stay awake. The ceremonial Matcha was very light in the Americano. I'm not sure what their measurement is, but it could have used another half a teaspoon, at least. The patio is dog friendly and there was a pup out there already at 8:30 AM on a Saturday. Inside, they have beautiful hanging plants and ample room if you're coming here to study or to catch up with some friends.
