Mani/pedi was satisfactory but eyebrow wax was a nightmare. She was very aggressive with me pushing my head down and basically shoving it from side to side. Shaping is terrible and she never went back with tweezers to clean up lines. It's frustrating to sit in silence while the nail techs speak to other nail techs in their language instead of building rapport with me, the customer. I came to this location for a short notice session. They were able to fit me in with an appointment. I came in a little early and was still seated fairly quickly. I first sat down for my pedicure. The water was luke warm and by the time I was seen it was cold. A lady next to me started her pedicure seconds before me and I still finished minutes before her. The woman doing my pedicure rushed it and some how made my toes bleed on the edge of the nail. To top it off the tools they were using looked dirty and unsanitary. The overall paint job was nice though. When it came time for my full set acrylic nails. The only man in the shop started my nails. The shop seemed to die down for a little while so he took his time. Around 530ish it started to pick up. That's when he started to rush my nails. He made two fingers bleed and kept SWATTING my hand away every time he finished a hand. Which made me so angry. They do not care about the quality of their work. They just care about fitting as many people in as they can to earn tips. Which they do not deserve. This place has bad reviews for a reason save your time and money and go else where. My pedicure cost $30 my full set cost $40. Super wishy washy with the nail techs, which sucks because you never know if you'll be happy with the quality once you're finished. I was prepared to spend 60 on a pedi, but was never offered the higher services. The ladies were very weird, never spoke other than to eachother, in which I could tell they were judging my tattoos, oh well. There's a reason this place only has a couple of stars on average. I went in today and decided I won't go back. I've had nails done many, many times. I needed a full set and sadly, this is set I'm not fond of. They're filed too narrow and the tips go WAY too far down the nail- some 1/2 way down into the middle of the nail. I also got a pedicure. It was ok. Nothing spectacular and was rushed. The gals that did the pedis were all super, super nice. While getting my nails done, the nail tech never introduced herself. Although she seemed nice enough, I was a turned off by how blatant she, and some of the others were speaking terribly about another person. Not sure who, but they were mimicking her, laughing at her, and being mean- without a care who heard them. This carried on for most of the time I was there. The tech even apologized to me because of how horrible they were! Her words. Just a terrible thing to do. As I sat there, countless people came as walk ins. She took every one of them but they were packed! Another lady came in and began to complain about her gel polish chipping off. Although she was told they'd fix it, she was argued with because it had been "a week." Well, the signs on all their gel polish say it's supposed to last 21 days! Then, the employees began to speak and yell in their native tongue. Obviously about this customer. The salon really is not that clean. They could use to pay an outfit to come clean it. Just look at the dust build up on the shelf near the register, the plant on the back of the toilet and other things that do not get moved. So, if you're in a rush, don't care if they talk crap about others, (probably you, too) and couldn't care less about the cleanliness, this is you're place. They'll take anyone at any time. Another tale-tell sign of the professionalism of the business- take a look at some of the responses to the low reviews on here. Very defensive and, frankly, bratty. No desire to make improvements. I would rather go somewhere that I'm not rushed and can relax without the noise and dust. This isn't that place. Updating after getting two responses from the business: the most concerning is the behavior of the owner and two others. One gal she sits next to up in the front. They teased and poked fun of someone so much, it was horrible. Although I've had good sets where the nail tip doesn't start at the MIDDLE of my finger- and I've seen cleaner places- let's not miss the point. Admittedly, looking at the CCTV will do nothing if Vicky owns it. Thanks to the business for offering to look at the video to make sure I'm being "honest" - reading the other reviews it appears I'm not the only one who's witnessed such lack of professionalism. I'm clearly not the only one with a problem. (How many stars does this place have?) Rather than do that to see if I'm right, honest, embellishing or otherwise, perhaps just admit it's an issue- work on it- and move on. That's what professionals do. Meanwhile - ALL Yelp users- please read all reviews and responses- look up other establishments and do yourself a favor- go to one where the owner appreciates your business and wants you there! Go to one with 4-5 stars. There are TONS of them. Don't waste your time here. I've been going to Beyond Nails for several years now- I mostly just started going because it was convenient to where I worked. Their service isn't the best- at times they get very busy, and you end up waiting (sometimes for an hour!) for help, even if you've made an appointment. I've experienced that scenario several times. The women are kind and friendly, but they also seem distracted while doing your nails and there's a lot of chatter between the women that work there, which is a bit off-putting. Yes, the place is a bit grungy, but that honestly doesn't bother me much. I've only had a manicure done once, and they did a nice job (though not exactly the length/shape I asked for) and it lasted a long time. I had a pedicure done once, and it was okay...as another reviewer said, I felt rushed and not very pampered- there wasn't a massage really, and I felt like they were just trying to rush me to get to the next person. The reason I personally keep going back, though, isn't for the nail services- I get my eyebrows waxed here, and it's something they do excellently. Not only do they do a perfect shape, it's also fast, painless, and cheap! Most places I've seen to get eyebrow waxing, is about $25-30 and the waxer almost ALWAYS goes too thin or does a sloppy job, leaving stray hairs. They've never done that Beyond Nails, and they only charge $10. I usually pay $15 and get my lip done too...it's a great deal, and I'm pretty sure the cheapest/best place in town for facial waxing. If I were to get my nails done, it honestly wouldn't be here (even though I'm now familiar with most of the staff), but I ALWAYS go here for waxing. You can get in and out in 5 minutes when they aren't busy, pay a small fee, and look great. Can't beat that! :) read more

I've been going to Beyond Nails for about six years. I always go to Vickie or Jolie to get my nails done because they are the best. If Mary isn't fully booked, she's very good too. I love the way Vickie always does a different design on my nails and I can tolerate her terrible attitude because her nails usually make up for the attitude. Sadly, after so many good years I have been looking elsewhere to get my nails done. The customer service has gotten so rude that I'd rather spend my money else where even if I don't get the same variety I get at Beyond Nails. I'm disappointed because if Vickie could be even a little nicer she could really pick-up more business. The nail quality has gone done as well. I pay $40 for a spa pedicure and it is 100% worth it. But I also pay $15 to get my eye brows waxed and I've been burned the last three times I've gotten waxed because she doesn't blow on the wax before she puts it on. Finally, the $33 for my acrylics is usually a steal but I work really hard (Manual labor) and my nails have broke the last six times without fail. What happened? I tried out beyond nails yesterday! I Came in for a pedicure and a fill. I was brought back for a pedicure with no wait. I had one of the best pedicures with Kim!! She really took her time with me! Then I was told to wait for someone to be able to do my nails. As i'm waiting 5 people come in and get helped. 30 minutes go by and I'm still waiting to get my nails done. I finally get seated in Vicky's chair ( The salon owner) she halfway greeted me. Then asked if it was OK if she continue to vacuum for a little bit. Lol As I was already waiting 30 minutes. After sitting in the chair Vicky finally starts to do my nails 15 minutes after. Now I've been waiting 45 minutes. She was constantly distracted with everything going on, the phone , people coming in. She got up from the chair to start someones pedicure water twice. The phone rang about 10 times which she proceeded to answer every time. After every call she would talk shit about the person trying to make an appointment. I understand running a business and having to answer the calls all the time but it was how she handled it. Then the color finally goes on my nails and it's not drying properly. She blames me for not having my hand fully under the heat. Then realize this color needs to be under the heat for longer than one minute. Doesn't apologize. Then leaves the chair again to go to somebody's eyebrows. Which this person did not have an appointment and I was already in her chair. She comes back and her coworker was trying to help finish my nails. I hear her mention to her coworker that I'm very picky make sure you're careful where you place that diamond. I should be picky I'm paying for this!!!!!! It was not a relaxing experience. I was there for 3 hours and it should've taken an hour and a half. She was very unprofessional and rude. Knowing how she complained about the customers calling in just makes me wonder what she said about me! Long story short I went in and had one of the best experiences with my pedicure then completely took a 180. Found my nail spot. Wanted to update: Vicki is the owner and is great. But usually very busy. My now go to is Kasey. I use her for my nails and toes. She takes out my in-growns when I need them removed. She only does it if I ask though. I haven't tried many others in the salon. Occasionally I've used others for pedicures but Kasey is still the one I favor. $30 for the pedi-cure is on the pricey side. In Cali you can get one for $20 and under. But it seems the cheapest I've found in NV is $25 so I guess thats just the going rate in these parts. read more

This was the first time at this nail place. I arrived at 9:20 am and the lady let me in with 4 other ladies. She had me sat down and started within seconds. The owner showed up minutes later and called in the troops, by 9:45 they were rolling and everyone was happy. They had 3 more clients walk in and they were all helped. They are quick to get you in. I was a walk in and took me right away which was really nice. When I asked if they did shellac they sure did and had me pick a color from their shelves. When I was asked if I had shellac on my nails I got an eye roll and sigh which I was not happy about. It made me feel very uncomfortable. All other salons I choose my color off plastic nails that are already colored. Here they make you pick off 3 shelves. Colors are all out of order, crusted over and super messy. I literally took like 10 minutes to choose a color that I really was not too happy with. I was moved to 3 different spots which was a bit annoying. All of the places I have been to have used foil and either acetone or some sort of other thing to remove the polish. The lady I got warmed up a bowl of acetone and made me soak my hands in it. She told me 5 minutes and she walked off for a good 10 while chatting it up on the phone. I took my hands out of the acetone and ALL OF MY FINGERS were dried out and white. It started to get painful so I took them out. When she checked on my she was not happy that I took my fingers out and filed the loose polish off with a dremel, huffing and puffing while doing it. I could tell she was not having a good day so I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt because I know I have bad days as well. She then confirmed the color I chose and asked me if I was sure that was what I wanted. I was honest with her and said no, I was looking for a more natural nude color. She told me that I should have looked harder because she is always on top of ordering colors and all. My thoughts were, if you were well organized and had a different way of presenting them then you would not have this problem and would have more customers. The counters on each desk were really dirty and dusty from nail debris. You can tell that they have not been dusted in a LONG TIME! The cherry on the ice cream was when she greeted new clients and asked if they wanted a manicure and pedicure she literally rolled her eyes made a nasty face to them because they did not want both. If you are looking for a cheap quick manicure I would not suggest this place at all unless it is the last resort. Went here for birthday pedicures for myself my daughter and my granddaughter we had a an appointment when we arrived we were told to wait after 15 minutes they ask us if maybe we wanted not to sit together one of us can sit in one room and the other two could sit in the other room but that wasn't the point of the pedicure and it gets worse I brought my own polish which was gel they charged me for a gel pedi which is 10. My sister and went in for a fill last week and as soon as we were seated we were each told the price was $35 not $30 as posted. They don't appear to sterilize their equipment between clients which was disturbing. Sent my sister and her daughter today for a pedicure and they were so rude. We had an appointment but they were told there was a wait. They were then taken into the new area and told the price would be $55 not the $30 posted or scheduled. The lady dropped her tools on the floor and didn't sterile them and continued to use them. When all was said and done they both need to go elsewhere and get them redone. Talked to the manger about it and she was so rude we won't ever be going back. She actually made my niece show her how bad the polish application was and said oh well it wasn't that bad and maybe her employee had bad eye sight. No refund, no apology. She's super sweet knew exactly what I wanted hit straight to work I was out of there in 45-50 min full set pink & white with glittery white what a great shop clean & if you have pictures of a design they will try their hardest to get it like the pic.
