I unfortunately cannot with this place anymore. I keep going back hoping to have a better experience and today I've just had it. I had an extremely small window to get a pedicure before a trip and this is what I ended up with. They are so friendly and always have good availability, but I'm out 1.5hrs and another $70 and now I have to go spend double my time and money just to get it fixed somewhere else and I'm pissed. The gentleman that did my pedi was kind, he gave a great massage, but his hands were a bit trembling and I knew it was going to end up a disaster at the first swipe of the brush. I let it slide, asked him to fix a few spots, he acted like he didn't understand or care, charged me $60, I tipped $10 and there you go. I took my sock off to find the edges I had asked him to fix completely peeling upwards on both feet. Last time I was in there, I got a manicure with no polish, I needed my cuticles cut and give my nails a little bit of shape with a color break. The girl cut my cuticle and I was bleeding a lot. I felt bad and tried to wrap my finger and keep it out of the way or even tell her she could just stop since I wasn't getting any polish, every effort I was told no. Everybody in the place made such a big deal about it and they kept blaming me that I was forcing myself to bleed more. Umm ok?!?!. Yet, they still charged me full price I tipped generously bc I felt so bad and then as I walked away i could see inside the window and I watched the manicurist mock what had just happened. This was my first time at foxy nails, and I was with Tiana. In my review, I have posted the inspiration pictures for the nails that I requested and a picture of the nails that I was given. The service I would say is luxury. I have been to nail technicians before, but I really enjoyed this nail salon. As soon as I came in, I was greeted kindly and asked if I wanted a water which they provided immediately. Once I was sat down, it was exactly at my appointment time which was great and timely. The nail technician was kind and inviting. She asked if that was exactly what I wanted and through the whole process confirmed if I liked what I was receiving. She asked about if I liked my shape and I said yes and so on and so forth, which I found great as far as quality goes. I love a technician who continually makes sure that I'm happy with the work being done on my hands. I received a couple of compliments from some of the technicians which I thought was very sweet and made me feel welcome and like they were happy I was there. So by far service was top-tier. I really loved my nails and the way that they came out because it was exactly as requested. The inside of the Salon is extremely clean and very modern. Was so excited to try a new pedicure spot. Reviews looked good and my best friend had just raved about her experience. So four of us went in to try it. It's a very unassuming and dated salon, but none of that really matters if the services are good. Pedicure pricing is fairly standard for this area so we opted for the best one. The good: pedicure chairs were nice, seemed new, and the manual foot/leg massage was better than most for me. They also offered small bottles of water which was much appreciated. The bad: There were inconsistencies across the technicians for time and quality, which is pretty standard in the industry unfortunately. My tech trimmed a nail so short that it's so painful, and the tech blamed my nail. You shouldn't push hard on the clippers to drive them down the nail as that can cause injury and an increased risk of ingrowns. Out of the 20+ years and across multiple states I've been getting pedicures, nobody has ever mentioned an issue. I'm meticulous about taking care of my feet and nails. So no, my nail was not the problem as it hurts across the entire length of the nail. The paraffin wax was molten lava for all of us - felt like your skin was burning. I thought my friends were being babies until it was my turn - holy hell! My nail technician never introduced themselves, so I didn't get their name, but I get to think about them with every step I take. Perhaps another person would be better but I'm unsure if I'll be back to try. read more

Worst experience ever! My best friend and friend talked great about this place and my manicure and pedicure were not worth 100 dollars. The guy working on my toes and feet (same guy) was shaking the whole time. My hands were shaking with his and everything was messy. I was rushed when the three of us made appointments. My friend who requests a specific person had to switch to someone else because they over booked who she requested. The design wasn't even what she wanted it was whatever the guy wanted. To top it off there was another lady who was upset and left because she had an appointment and they over booked her too. This seems to be a reoccurring issue it sounds like. I am so sad to report that after my 5th visit here with outstanding service I have never felt more low as a customer. My friend made 3 total appointments for mani and pedis, hers with Pi and mine with Peter and the 3rd who ever was available. We were told Peter would have a customer but would be available at 10am for me. She secured the other 2 appointments at 945 with Pi and any other avail tech. We arrived early at 930 and we were told Pi was out sick and asked if another tech was ok. We accepted the new tech and we were sat for our pedicures. I have been seeing Peter for 4 going on 5 months and specifically requested him because I enjoy his work and he matches my design requests. Today I showed him another design and he said no problem for pedi and mani. When he showed the designed I said it was ok but not what I wanted but could work with it since the same would be on my nails. He then moved me to his desk and began my manicure. After soaking and shaping another technician came and tapped me on the shoulder and said Peter was doubled booked and asked if it was ok someone else completed my manicure. I was lost for words but said ok. I watched Peter leave half way through my service to go help the other second booked appointment in the pedicure stations. I waited a few moments and no one came so I turned around to my party and told them what had just happened. I said "they double booked Peter and pulled him half way through my service" after a few minutes I was moved over to the woman who sits 2 desks from the cash register. She seemed apologetic in the beginning but over the course of finishing my service and correcting the design on my toes to match my nails, things changed. As I sat there getting my manicure done, another woman came in to find out they had also double booked her appointment. She began to get loud and said it was the 3rd time it happened to her. I had sympathy because it was happening to me in that moment. The woman ended up leaving. During the course of my manicure I witnessed the phone be answered 4 times, appointment slots given, and nothing written in their book. It was very clear to me what happened to me today. It also happened to the woman. And will more than likely happen to future patrons to this business. The tech doing my manicure offered to redo the design on my toe in which I did let her to it, I was already upset with what had happened I didnt want to leave upset with a design. During the course of the redo she offered that my service be completely free. I stayed completely quiet. I did not want a free service. I wanted the services I made appointments for with the tech I requested. I understand things happen, however, the course they took today was not the best in my opinion. I paid for my service in which they gav $15 off to me and the other 2 females in my party. Peter, you do great work and I'm sorry this happened but I can no longer move forward with the shop. read more

I wish I listened to the other negative reviews. I was cut pretty badly here during my pedicure and manicure. Every toe was cut a little but the big toes were the deepest and worst. I didn't realize it was that bad until I got home and it was bleeding a lot. I was up most of the night because it was so painful. I got my nails done because I going on a vacation for my 30th birthday and will not be able to go in the water or hike now due to the risk of infection. It completely ruined my trip. I am so devastated. I also got a gel French manicure but was only given 3 tips on my nails. When I saw only three nails with tips, I asked again for the technician to do a full set. She told me that she would have to charge an extra $20 (for a total of $75) to remove the 3 and put on a full set. I don't think the customer should have to pay extra for a nail technician's mistake. The nails are okay but super thick and she don't push your cuticles before applying gel so it gives a really bulbous appearance. I also was cut on my thumb as well. Please see the photos for that. I talked to the owner to try and find a solution because I paid over $100 for these services. I was just offered a $25 gift card if I wanted to come back (which I will not be doing since I was injured here). I asked the owner to comp at least some of my service and I was told that I was lying about being cut on each toe and even if I was that "it wasn't that bad" after showing a photo. He told me "being cut was part of the process of getting a pedicure". I've never gotten cut to the point of bleeding before. Please do not come here. read more

Unfortunately, this was the worst manicure and pedicure experience I've ever had. I had my nails done less than a week ago, and while on vacation I had to go back twice just to get both my hands and toes fixed. I don't live in Reno, otherwise I would have gone in to request a refund. These are my natural nails, and they began ripping and lifting so badly that it was genuinely painful--something I've never experienced before. My sister also had to return the very next day to have her nails fixed as well. What makes this even more disappointing is how expensive the service was. On top of everything, the polish on my toes was completely rubbed off by my shoes by the next day, which should absolutely not happen with a proper pedicure. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed and would not recommend this salon based on our experience. read more

The gentleman working on my nails kept filing them down, and the final result had no apex, which made the nails look flat. Based on the reviews I was really excited to bring my daughter here for her first pedicure, as a little treat for her 7th birthday. I made an appointment for three pedicures and two manicures. For my daughter, they would only paint her nails, no massage or foot soak (which was the entire point), I had the foxy deluxe which was incredibly unmemorable as I think the entire massage lasted a total of 90 seconds including the hot stones, and my son received the signature pedicure (his first pedicure as well) and said it was not "fun or relaxing", again I think the entire massage lasted a minute or two....I am not a pedicure connoisseur by any means, I indulge for special occasions, and I think I would have gotten a better pedicure if I soaked my feet in the tub and rubbed my own legs. Both my children complained of the techs being very rough when filing, trimming and cleaning up the cuticles. For our manicures, they notified me they would charge an additional $30 on top of the $15 gel fee for my daughter to have a different color on all 5 nails. When I asked, two of the manicurists had to have a 5 minute discussion and were clearly annoyed - this wasn't isolated as another child (unrelated to our party) getting a manicure asked for a design on her nails later during my service and the request was very obviously inconvenient as three techs had to step aside and discuss. For my manicure, I asked for a soft/muted/natural style French nail and was given a standard white tip and somehow cut (I have natural nails, there was nothing to file off so aggressively). By the end of the service, I just wanted to leave. It wasn't the "pampering" I was excited we would receive. I didn't complain once, I didn't notify the techs I was unhappy, I am not one to throw a temper tantrum in a salon. $200+ tip and I just wanted to leave apologize to my daughter for hyping up the expected mani pedi girly experience that I've always had at any salon. read more

Honestly really disappointed with this place. I paid $70 for a set that I think is pretty basic and they look HORRIBLE. ALL nails are shaped differently and not the shape I asked for, he cut 2 of my fingered pretty badly. The color doesn't really match what I showed but I understood that the person in the picture used colored acrylic not polish so I already knew that wasn't going to be 100% spot on. Right before polish I actually asked if we could add my bfs initial to the design and he didn't do that as you can clearly see. I was really excited seeing all the cool nail art and really nice sets that they do but it's sadly only a couple of the nail artists that are there out of like the 6-8 that are available. It's a very pretty salon with an amazing atmosphere but seems to be VERY hit or miss with the quality of service you get. And for $70 I honestly really expected a better outcome other than what I got. read more
