Just a bit disappointed but I guess my fault for not speaking.. I came in for a full set and pedi. While one girl was finishing up my Pedi, another rushed her away so she could get me up to do my full set.. it was rude. I also felt rushed. I still had residue of mask on my legs.. now my set.. she cut them a nice length and then through out the process, she kept filing them down so they became short and uneven. I showed an inspo pic of French. She coated half the nail and cleaned it off however she did not take it off properly and it was all down my cuticles. I'm attaching the inspo pic and what I received. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I've been going here since I moved to Reno in Jan and I've had enough bad polish jobs and lazy service to continue. I always tip generously too. Sad bc I really liked them initially but have decided it's time for a new place. read more

Pia absolutely KILLED my nails I'm seriously obsessed with how they turned out!! She was so sweet, patient, and paid attention to every little detail. Recently moved to Reno from the Bay Area so I have been trying all the Nail Salons to find my favorite. Booking was easy & seamless (which I love), was able to go online around 9am and get a same day appointment at 11. It was a little further than I expected from my house so I ended up running a bit late, gave them a call and they were nice & told me not to rush. Got there 10 min after appointment start time & did not have to wait to get started on my nails. The location had easy parking and inside was clean. Showed Kathy a picture of my nail inspiration & she said she could do it so from there my nails were in her hands. I'll upload the inspiration photo for you guys to compare but I would say she did a great job on execution. Jaime did my pedicure-I got the foxy signature with gel. I would post a photo of my toes as well but unfortunately those are for my Fiance only lol. My total came to $175 without tip and it took about 2 hours to be finished. But yeah 10/10. read more

I have been to multiple places for pedicures, and unfortunately, I did not receive excellent work. You can see lines in the paint and missed sections on my nails. Calluses were not shaved down. I'm disappointed with my experience at Foxy Nails. While they offer online booking, it seems that the system does not limit the number of people who can schedule the same appointment time. We booked for 1:00 PM, only to find that there were also five other people scheduled for that same time. As a result, the service felt extremely rushed. I received the deluxe pedicure, but several of the services included in the treatment were skipped, including the scrub and massage. When I brought this to the technician's attention, instead of addressing my concerns, she ignored me and told me I could go get my manicure. I did not appreciate her rude attitude. After I checked out I realized that they charged me extra for a gel manicure. I don't think it's fair to charge a different price than advertised, especially if you aren't going to explain it. Overall, I'm not happy with my experience. Between the overbooking, rushed service, missing portions of the deluxe pedicure, and unexpected additional charge, I don't feel that I received the quality of service I paid for. I hope they reconsider how they manage online appointments and are more transparent about pricing and the services being provided. read more

Daughter and mom time at Foxy Nails today. Foxy nails didn't disappoint! We both opted for the deluxe gel pedicure which was about 60 each. loved how it didn't break the bank! The massage chairs felt so good. The whole process from start to finish was very pampering! We had a hot stone massage, lotion massage, warm towels applied in addition to our beautiful gel nail color application! I really appreciated the technician frequently checking in with me about the length of the nail, color.... Fantastic experience from start to finish! I needed a last minute pedicure and walked in at this place. They were able to take me in right away. I'm not going to lie, from the outside, I wasn't sure, if I was going to like it. But, once you're inside, you're greeted right away with good ambiance. The place was clean and spacious. I ended up getting the spa pedicure with gel nails. I was a walk in at 1pm and the place was already quite busy! I wanted a gel manipedi, they placed me with Pie after about a 5 min wait! She was an AMAZING person to do my nails! ‍ I havent had a pedicure in over 6 years (my feet are so extremely sensitive and ticklish) and she was incredibly gentle with me and checked in often to make sure she wasn't hurting me. The pedicure chairs and soaking tubs were all super clean and i loved that they used sterile packed single use tools for cuticle care and trimming! Pie did both my pedi and mani, (my manicure i had previously was from another salon who cut me during the process so I was nervous about getting another one). I was kind of nervous because my cuticles are thin and sensitive and easily painful, but again, Pie was super gentle and checked in every time I even flinched slightly to make sure I was okay! I'm super happy I came across this location! Everyone that I spoke to was very kind and polite and sweet. I just got the basic spa pedi with gel polish and a gel manicure with cateye gel. I unfortunately cannot with this place anymore. I keep going back hoping to have a better experience and today I've just had it. I had an extremely small window to get a pedicure before a trip and this is what I ended up with. They are so friendly and always have good availability, but I'm out 1.5hrs and another $70 and now I have to go spend double my time and money just to get it fixed somewhere else and I'm pissed. The gentleman that did my pedi was kind, he gave a great massage, but his hands were a bit trembling and I knew it was going to end up a disaster at the first swipe of the brush. I let it slide, asked him to fix a few spots, he acted like he didn't understand or care, charged me $60, I tipped $10 and there you go. I took my sock off to find the edges I had asked him to fix completely peeling upwards on both feet. Last time I was in there, I got a manicure with no polish, I needed my cuticles cut and give my nails a little bit of shape with a color break. The girl cut my cuticle and I was bleeding a lot. I felt bad and tried to wrap my finger and keep it out of the way or even tell her she could just stop since I wasn't getting any polish, every effort I was told no. Everybody in the place made such a big deal about it and they kept blaming me that I was forcing myself to bleed more. Umm ok?!?!. Yet, they still charged me full price I tipped generously bc I felt so bad and then as I walked away i could see inside the window and I watched the manicurist mock what had just happened. I'm over it. I just can't recommend this place any longer. read more

Was so excited to try a new pedicure spot. Reviews looked good and my best friend had just raved about her experience. So four of us went in to try it. It's a very unassuming and dated salon, but none of that really matters if the services are good. Pedicure pricing is fairly standard for this area so we opted for the best one. The good: pedicure chairs were nice, seemed new, and the manual foot/leg massage was better than most for me. They also offered small bottles of water which was much appreciated. The bad: There were inconsistencies across the technicians for time and quality, which is pretty standard in the industry unfortunately. My tech trimmed a nail so short that it's so painful, and the tech blamed my nail. You shouldn't push hard on the clippers to drive them down the nail as that can cause injury and an increased risk of ingrowns. Out of the 20+ years and across multiple states I've been getting pedicures, nobody has ever mentioned an issue. I'm meticulous about taking care of my feet and nails. So no, my nail was not the problem as it hurts across the entire length of the nail. The paraffin wax was molten lava for all of us - felt like your skin was burning. I thought my friends were being babies until it was my turn - holy hell! My nail technician never introduced themselves, so I didn't get their name, but I get to think about them with every step I take. Perhaps another person would be better but I'm unsure if I'll be back to try. read more

(Side note) updated my rating because owner did offer to fix it, however finding time to get my nails done again with a one year old is tough and wish it would have gone well the first time. I had high hopes for this place based off other reviews but left a little bummed at the service. I did not realize how bad they looked until I was home. The nail tech seemed very rushed and did not push back my cuticles or clean up my nails before applying the acrylic. I also noticed they are turning an almost yellow color rather than the white I wanted. I'll post a picture of what I asked for and what I received. The picture I showed him had clean definitive lines where the French ended. But what I received looks more like an ombré than French tips. They are pretty chunky. And my thumbs look misshaped. The acrylic also didn't cover the edges of some of my nails. I was also charged a hefty $75 for this. I will not be returning here. read more

My partner was explaining to me that while she was getting her nails done, the person seemed to be in a rush. Thats how they turned out, rushed. The acrylics aren't shaped evenly. The gems have glue exposed and are also lined up unevenly. The heart turned out weird. The black ring isn't even around the ring finger nail.
