Yesterday was my first time at QT Nails, and it was such a great experience! Tony and Andy did my gel manicure, and Maya did my gel pedicure. All three of them were incredibly kind and had such great attention to detail. I'm admittedly a bit of a perfectionist, so I really appreciated how patient and easygoing Tony and Andy were when I asked for a few small adjustments. They weren't at all rude, frustrated, or put off, which made me feel really comfortable. Andy also airbrushed my French tips, and they turned out flawless! My only regret is not having enough cash to leave a bigger tip. Since they prefer cash tips, definitely plan ahead--I know I will for next time! read more

Visited this place on 3.8.26.. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Requested a Jelly pedicure could not accommodate due to low inventory on the scents.. so I settled for deluxe pedicure with the parafin wax which was still wet when you took my feet out the plastic bag. They were never wrapped with the hot towel and the booties. Just sorry service. Never got the hot stones! I had set up an appointment for a pedicure earlier in the day at another business but looking at the time and looking at what time they close I knew there was no way I could make it there in time. Thanks to Yelp, I came across QT's and called them right away and the person that answered the phone asked what time I would like to come in I asked for 6:00 p.m. knowing they close at 7:00 and he said sure. I thought I knew where I was going and little did I know it's the shopping center next to Michael's Deli I just didn't put two and two together. I was greeted and invited to go to the back room, where I could view the different pedicure packages I settled on the mid-range one which sounded perfect. I loved the variety of nail colors and the fact that on a Friday it was semi quiet was the perfect relaxation move after a busy week. I enjoyed the warm towels and massage and the foot soak. I wish there was an add on option for extra foot care (foot scrubbing) but nonetheless I was thankful. My nail tech was so efficient that few minutes before 7:00 p.m. I was ready to head out. He was even sweet enough to place my sandals on and bag up my other shoe items (which I insisted I would do). I really enjoyed QT and see myself coming back here! read more

My FRamily member Jenn recommended this business to me. I went in on December 30 and got a full set. I have never had a set of nails last me so long without chipping, breaking, cracking or lifting. I went back in today and got a fill. They look just as beautiful as they did the first day. I highly recommend QT nails. Walked in right at opening, and was immeditately seated and helped! Alot of other people came in at opening and each person was helped quickly and efficently as well. My hands were embarrassingly destroyed due to shoveling snow and cleaning the garage. I went into QT Nails today and got a gel manicure, which the technician did superbly. My hands were really a mess with broken nail tips and raggedy cuticles. I forgot the techs name, but she took her time cleaning the cuticles and really was meticulous with how she applied the gel. I wish I had before pictures so you could see the vast difference. Thank you QT Nails, I don't have to hide my hands anymore. read more

Response to Christy M's review. I was one of patrons getting serviced when she walked in. I arrived at the shop before 9am, one worker was cleaning and allowed another patron and I to wait inside. Christy walked in a little before 9:30am. At 9:32, she asked about her 9:30am appointment and was told they were on the way. At 9:34, three more workers walked in and Christy started to be rude and nasty towards the workers...even after she saw they were there and she was about to get serviced. I called her out on her BS and suddenly there was a tone shift. After she was told they were ready for her, she stormed away saying "there are more shops in town." She did not give the workers an opportunity to service her. BTW, I continued getting my pedicure and had one of the managers start on my manicure...simultaneously. read more

I got a deluxe pedicure ($40) and it was fantastic! I called a bunch of places and everyone was booked but QT's said if I came right then, they could fit me in. Woohoo! Everyone was wearing masks, socially distanced, and COVID precautions in place. Everything looked super clean and new and a liner used in the massage chair bowl. The pedicure itself was super luxurious with exfoliating sugar scrub, massage, hot stones, and more. I hadn't had a pedicure since before the pandemic started so boy did I need a lot of exfoliating! It was hard work but Cindy did a great job. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was more club-style than relaxing but not too loud - not really my thing but if you're looking for super quiet, this isn't the place. There were fun lights changing colors and music. Cash preferred but they will take credit cards with a 1% added service charge. I'll be going back for sure. read more

Got persuaded to go on a pedicure date with my fiancé. Honestly it didn't take much to persuade me haha. Had a great, relaxing time here. Nice message chairs and the water temps were perfect. The hot stone message is a must! Get treated like a KING here! (or Queen). Many options with different prices. Highly affordable. I opted for a clear coat but many choices of nail polish to ponder through. Staff was great. Facility was clean! read more

I came here for a pedicure and had made an appointment. When I walked in I wasn't greeted or spoken to I had to say Hi I'm here for a pedicure then the guy just said to go to the back when I got to the back they were not ready at all then when they were ready, the water wasn't hot at all and the massage chair was broken. When I had a question about doing an extension on one toenail I had ripped, the girl couldn't understand what I was asking and made it seem like I was irritating her and another girl came over who also wasn't understanding what I was saying and just talked over me saying I don't need a tip and should just file it when I said 3 times that the nail was too short for me and didn't match the other side. I mistakenly, asked another question about how my nail was growing out and had nothing to do with the service but my tech again got very frustrated with me and had someone else come over again who also wasn't understanding what I was saying and talked over me. They didn't have the French pink color I was looking for and when I asked if she could use a different pink once again she got frustrated and I just said nevermind and ended up with a pedicure I hate. If you are someone who actually cares about the service you're paying for and will speak up about what you want, this is definitely not the shop for you. They want you to just be okay with whatever they're doing and expect you not say anything. This pedicure was a horrible experience. I've never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome in a nail shop before. I will never come here again or would ever recommend this place to anyone Responding to the owner, I have not been here this was my first time at this nail salon and my first time at a salon in Reno since I moved back from Vegas 6 months ago....Perhaps you and your techs should consider listening to clients and what they're actually saying instead of immediately getting annoyed and speaking over them furthering the misunderstandings. As a service provider myself I would never make a client feel like they're being a bother for asking for certain things to be done, especially when they're paying for a service. read more

Walk into Sola and you will find Trendy Nails down the hall to your right. It's a small studio with two massage chairs for spa pedicures and two desks for manicures. I decided to try a pedicure. There were 3 options: Basic ($35), Deluxe ($50), and Trendy VIP ($75). The Basic is more of an express pedicure whereas the Deluxe includes everything the Basic does as well as a sugar scrub, mineral mask, and hot stones. The jasmine scent was perfect-- not too strong. (There were 3 other scents to choose from one of which I remember for certain was lavender and I think one may have been rose related). Also worth mentioning was that this place felt clean and didn't have a strong chemical smell like some other larger nail salons do-- I was very comfortable as a pregnant lady (smells can be overwhelming at times so I was grateful). The couple who owned the place were very personable (sorry, I forgot their names). They are originally from Vietnam but were able to hold conversations with me in English just fine. Overall, yes, I'd recommend Trendy Nails. Their prices are similar to other nail salons but their smaller studio feels more calm and relaxing. I also liked feeling like I was a special valued customer rather than just another person to process and get through.

Expect to wait 2 ish weeks to get in... She's worth the wait!!! Her attention to detail is unmatched! Her pedicures are heavenly! Her nails always come out perfect! Ive never had a nail pop early, or polish start flaking when kelly does my nails! The salon is this darling house up off Geiger grade, it's a little funky to get too but really easy once you know where to go! The salon is small and cute, you can tell that the owner put a ton of love into the place! And beyond Kelly's nail abilities, she is an amazing person to chat with! She has an old soul, and is so genuine and kind. The advice she gives is always spot on! When your nail appointment is up, it will be hard to leave, because you are having so much fun chatting! If you need nails done for an event, want a little indulgence, or just searching for a good nail tech.... Kelly is your chick! But I have to warn you... You go once, and you will be hooked!
