I've discovered Lavender about 2 years ago and am so so happy I did. My first impression was clean, peaceful. My MIL and I had pedicures and the service was amazing. It has kept us coming back and now we've gotten to know most of the techs. I've never had a bad experience. Tracy is so kind and professional. Irving is conscientious and very enjoyable to chat with while doing an incredible job. It's always cheerful, professional and they always, always accommodate us as walk-ins or appointments. Would not recommend pedicures here! Appointment was scheduled for two pedicures and was able to get in and be seated right away, and sit and wait. Not busy at all but a staff not prepared for anything. Staff 3 to customers 4. What's the point of appointments if you are still not going to be provided quality time. My mother got her pedicure going first and in no way any type of service outside of the very basic. The only difference with the luxury was the hot stone to the front of her legs, no massage to her feet. With a total of an additional 60 seconds per leg, don't waste the extra money it costs for "Luxury" nothing luxury about this visit. The polish applied was visible of a person on their first day and although it may not have been his first day it was a horrible job. So then someone comes to start my pedicure, had to let her know I no longer wanted a luxury pedicure since my mother was done and not worth wasting time or money to get a service like that. My nail tech told her nail tech he needed to start on someone else so my mother sat there with toe separators till I was done as her nail tech started with someone else that seemed to be a walk in requesting a different nail service. No additional check ins with her and when I was done we were ready to leave, my mother just walked away with the separators as my nail tech just waited for payment. We did let them know that the service was not good at all, no massage, not even the polish application expected and the staff seemed shocked. This is not the first pedicure we have ever gotten and after years of getting them we know what to expect. Did not expect this at all based on reviews! The place and setting seems cute but it was hot inside, no fan, no air circulation and no offering of even water. For going out of my way from Spanish springs to take my mom visiting from California, this was a horrible experience and I would never return nor would I recommend anyone I know to go here. read more

The place was really pretty and the ladies were really nice. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was the most bizarre/ worst manicure I've ever gotten. The girl who helped me was really nice but im assuming she's new. My feet were soaking for less than a minute before she started working on both of my feet to trim my toe nails. So I didn't even get to enjoy a my soak. Then she did the shaping which was fine I guess. She then had me basically dip my feet in for a half a second and then got to applying the gel. The application of the gel alone took an hour. I think she did close to 5-6 coats of gel. And the curing time seemed suspiciously short. This should have been a red flag to me. She spent so much time cleaning up each application and they still ended up messy. She went in with different tools after the fact trying to polish off the mistakes. I was honestly going to let it all go, and move on with my life. Until wore shoes and realized the gel is still uncured underneath the mountains of layers. She did not cure them fully. So I paid for a pedicure and gels and left tip all to have to remove the gel so I don't have a poor reaction to the uncured polish or get a fungal infection. There is a big sign at the front that says no refunds so I don't see a point in talking to anyone at the shop. If you go here make sure they actually cure your polish... read more

So disappointing! I have been coming to this salon for six years to see Janice for my gel nails and pedicures. Up until very recently, the salon was owned by Miss Ann and called Nail Forum. It has always been a friendly, fun, and relaxing atmosphere and the ladies have always done a great job. I would sometimes bring along a friend or my daughter for a fun girl's day. Janice and Miss Ann have always been amazing and created a great experience. The salon was recently sold to a new owner and the name changed. I really wanted to keep coming here, but things got very uncomfortable, very quickly. First of all, the decor was changed to very loud and gaudy. Not sure what the owner was going for, but it is anything but chic; painted the most hideous color of purple. It almost hurts the eyes! The music is loud and flashes on a big screen tv. The owner would change the music on a whim, regardless of my preference (I was the only client in the salon my last visit---shocker!!!). The really awkward part was when the man she hired sat at his table near us and was doing absolutely nothing. It seemed he was just listening to our conversation. My last experience there was anything but relaxing; it was extremely awkward. Unfortunately, the new owner decided to fire Miss Ann and Janice today. I am so sad for them both, as they really worked hard for their clients there. They gained me as a client through referral and I have sent many others to them. They were top notch!! Needless to say, I will no longer be going to this salon. read more

It's very rare that I leave a review but I couldn't stand how disappointed I was with the new ownership of the nail salon. I have been coming back to Ann and Janice for the past three years and every single visit they have treated as a friend , always having great conversations and ultimately the most relaxing experience. That being said, the new owners have completely changed the vibe of the place by putting up tacky looking posters and playing music that drives clients to sleep. Don't really understand what sort of aesthetic they are going for but it's definitely for the worse. I came as a walk in client the other day and ultimately left due to such poor management. First of all I was pestered by this rude man to "sign in" which then I continued to wait for over 30 minutes and eventually concluded it was a waste of my time. During my wait I could evidently tell that the new owners (wife and I think her husband?) would make side conversations and not having their full and undivided attention on their clients. This is truly disrespectful as it is common courtesy not to do so. The vibes were overall really tense and it saddens me that my go to salon has undergone such a drastic change. It has been a great few years at this salon but with the new owners it's safe to say I won't ever be coming back. read more

The salon was very clean, the music playing in the background was relaxing (had I been laying down I may have fallen asleep). It was such a great vibe. I book an appointment for 1pm for my self and my 2 children for pedicures.When we arrived 5 minutes early I was told "your early sit down and wait" that with the loud music should have been my red flag to leave. After waiting 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment time I was sat in a chair with ice cold water while my daughter was place in a chair that didn't work like I wouldn't notice as they made me sit on the end. Most of my time spent in the chair was the lady cleaning off nail polish she got all of my toes and cut my nails so short and did not say one word the whole time. While checking out after being here for 1 1/2 hours the women must have realized she never put a top coat in my daughters toes and proceeded to paint her nails while they were in her slides standing at the register. After she said " you can leave tip here" I explained no thank you and she screamed to the whole shop "NO TIP" while I'm cleaning of nail polish off the top of my foot. I usually take a break from pedi during the winter, but now thats it's getting warmer, i wanted to go back and visit Ann and Janice. little did i know, they changed owners! I was very sad about it since i've known the mother and daughter 8 years ago when it was Nail Forum. I called the salon to book an appointment for 2 pedicures,and I know for a fact it wasnt Ann or Janice who answered the phone because whoever answered this was very unprofessional,was very rude, I could barley understand what she was saying and she didnt understand me. So i called a friend,who stopped by there the other day,told me it was a new owner,and how she was mistreated there by the owner,she was very rude, and the atmosphere was awkward. Glad to see Janice and Ann there but sorry ladies, i cannot be supporting a business when the owner is very disrespectful and dont care about her clients. I will miss the girls,But for the new owner, please fix your attitude if you want loyal returning clients! When you answer the phone and disrespecting your clients,they will not return even after i had to hang up and call back again you still end up disrespecting me, I work at a professional job,did i not speak english fluently enough for you to understand that i wanted 2 pedicures? Why do you talk to your clients so impolitely when you dont know us? Terrible! I hope i can run into my old gals one day and ask them if this is how their new owner treating them because if the way shes talking to her clients on the phone imagine her in person! Yikes!
