Horrible experience. This was my first time getting my nails done in Reno, and unfortunately I left very disappointed. I requested extensions on my big toes, but the technician refused and suggested a cheaper option, even though I was not asking for a lower-cost service. I also asked for French tips with gel on my toes, and he told me he could only do a single color on the entire nail. Throughout the appointment, he made several comments about my toenails, including saying that one foot was "good" and the other had "ugly nails" and that I should wait for them to grow out. When I asked for a darker polish, he again told me to wait until my toenails were longer, which didn't make sense to me since nail length has nothing to do with polish color. The customer service was also lacking. There was very little communication, and while I noticed other clients being offered water and receiving friendly conversation, I was not offered the same courtesy. After a spectacularly poor experience at another nail salon, (by S.P. Experience, I mean 4 women walked in together very happy and all 4 left w/very poor outcomes) we discovered a new salon and by new I mean recently opened. DK Nails is fresh and new and doing a great job of providing luxurious service. It's a modern interior, bright and elegant. Had a great pedicure with a much needed lengthy leg massage. I recently moved so I switched lawns. I came in with gels that I used to get done in sparks. I get a gel manicure and pedicure. Two days later my skin is falling off of my feet. I come in to show her that they gave me athletes foot and I would like my money back because now I have to go buy medicine and start treatment. She tells me that it's my fault that I have dry skin no money back and that the manager will call me the manager hasn't called me in over a week. These photos are a week out. It's just getting worse and worse and worse. I told her that her things were not sanitary. They're not throwing away a drill bit every time they use it she's just opening a plastic box filled with a bunch of utensils using them and then throwing them back in there that's not sanitary just go somewhere else unless you like athletes foot. read more

Was disappointed in the service I received. The gentleman that started to do my nails was using an extreme amount of acrylic. He said he would clean it after but even after cleaning it, there was still a lot of residue. Let the pictures show the work I received. This is not a friendly nor good environment to get a pedicure done. Out of all places I've ever gone in my lifetime this is by far the worst customer service in the nail industry. If you have a customer coming in for a service and want them to continue to be a loyal customer then they should be treated with kindness. My issue here is that I ask for a color and then he proceeds to do the opposite of what I have asked. Not only that but then gives an unwanted opinion if my feet are cute or not. I came in for a pedicure not an opinion on whether or not my feet were pretty to look at. I would not recommend this place unless you're looking for unwelcome opinions rather than relaxation time you're paying for with your hard earned money!! The nail tech was very rude and clearly had an issue with people of color. Proceeds to welcome Everyone in with waters and then ignores me. Then tells me to go with the cheapest option I did not ask for that. If we're all customers we should all be treated the same not being passive aggressive towards one customer. read more

This place overcharged for pedi. I ordered a hot stone pedi and never got the hot stones. My other family members got theres but I did not. They charge for hel polish also. Not busy and I know why. I had a good customer service experience here they were super friendly , salon is cute and clean , they offered me water . We had great conversations. However the work wasn't the best . I really have a pet peeve when one nail technician starts my nails and then passes me to another tech in the middle of the service . You can see the inconsistency in the work . I was in the salon a long time . I think it took them 2 1/2 hours. I'm so use to getting my nails and feet done at the same time . I paid $65 more for a fill and what would be a "deluxe pedicure" in California. I normally spend $105- $115 for a good fill and a jelly pedicure in California no joke they were charging $85 for a CBD pedicure I believe the Jelly pedicure was close to that . Worst part is I went yesterday and it already looks like I need a fill . I would just suggest a French tip if you're in town and have an emergency situation. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands-down the worst manicure I've ever had in my entire life. The vibe is very low. The woman who gave me a manicure seemed as if she could care less that I was paying her to do My nails she stabbed me multiple times and then told me that I was sensitive. She also tried to push me out without doing anything that would be considered a true manicure. Soaking my nails in a Luke warm bowl of water and then barely taking care of my cuticles I had to ask her to clean the dirt from under my nails... I am so confused how this is even possible. The women owning/running it was rude as well. I asked if I could throw away my yogurt container, and she insisted that I take it outside because food containers can't be inside (of a toxic smelling nails salon?) I have never been so uncomfortable, leaving a nail salon in my life. I want my money back. I came in for a basic manicure as I have been working really hard on an interior design project and my nails needed love. I asked for a super simple manicure, but She couldn't seem to understand that I didn't want to put chemical toxins onto my nail beds and seemed upset that I wasn't going to be up selling for gels and colors and maybe that's why she was so rude. Yes I know I didn't come in for a $70 nail service and also I am still a customer coming in for a service that was absolutely not rendered. I usually don't write reviews, but this time I just had to. I just had the worst pedicure of my life. I am in Reno for 36 hours and had a free block of time so I decided to get a pedicure. I called and made an appointment for 4 PM. I waited until 4:20, which would've been OK if I hadn't had somewhere to go right afterwards. while I was waiting for that 20 minutes, I was forced to listen to a nail tech and her customer drop at least 10 F-bombs. It was so completely unprofessional. I finally got seated in a chair and a gentleman came over and turned the water on. He didn't come back for five minutes. In that amount of time the water had filled to the top and it was completely cold. So I didn't get to sit and soak my feet at all. When he went to get nail clippers to trim my nails, he opened a Tupperware container and pulled out a nail clippers. I asked him if they had been sterilized. Because he could not speak much English, I could not understand him. He pointed to the top of the Tupperware container that had a label on it that said "clean tools." I think he was trying to assure me that the tools were clean. But just because there are tools in a Tupperware container with that label on it, doesn't necessarily mean that they are clean. And to top it off, he cut one of my toenails too short, and it started to bleed. I would never, ever recommend the nail salon to anyone. read more
