Wow Just had a Dermaplane Facial from Mia and it was great. I understand she is the newest esthetician there and she did an AMAZING job. My skin looks and feels fabulous. I also received a brow tint and shape from Mia. Outstanding! I highly recommend Mia for any esthetician services! The salon was very busy and loud but Mia made sure I had a very peaceful and relaxing experience. read more

It was another outstanding job from Tammy! Great to use up on Super Bowl Sunday and always mindful of the nails! I won't go to anyone else.

Well usually a basic pedicure is 1hour long. Nancy did my pedi and it seriously was only 35-40 minutes! I could have went to wal-mart and got a better pedi! She didn't even level my nails!! Could have paid half the price at Walmart pretty sad!!! read more

Needed my nails redone and toes were overdue so I made an appointment online which was quick and easy. Went upstairs and got my pedicure and it was great water was scalding but I didn't mind. What I do mind is my structure gel manicure, she rushed and left bumps under my nails to the point where she would put a full coat of polish on and use the hand buffer to take it off and paint over it. Three nails this happened with. She would dust off the powder and a leftover residue would remain which is probably why the bumps are there in the first place. She would paint and throw my hand to signify she was would be ready for the next hand. And a day later and a dollar short it's already peeling off?? It's gel and it's coming off like a paint chip. Loved the pedicure but won't be doing hands again. read more

I've gone to Nirvana many times for manicures and pedicures (gel and dip) and without fail I've always had a top notch experience. The manis and pedis I've gotten there have always lasted longer than any I've gotten elsewhere. The studio is clean, bright, and not too big, but also not too small. Another big plus is that all the nail techs and employees are very friendly and seem to really like working there. I've gone to Nirvana several times with my mother who is disabled and needs to use a walker and the staff has always been very accommodating, patient, and helpful with her. They are happy to hold the door open, help her in and out of the pedicure chair and make sure to have a space on the first floor available for her. How a business treats disabled customers really says a lot. I love Nirvana and I'll definitely be back read more

Nancy is the best - I've been coming to nirvana for almost 5 years! She knows me, my mom, my grandma, my best friend, I send everyone to her! The space is Clean, quiet and professional, I'm never disappointed with my quality of service. They get me in 90% of the time within the same day which makes an impromptu pedicure possible! I know times have changed and $75 before tip seems like a lot for a pedi, but they have several tiers of options with ranges of cost - and the quality for all of them stays the same. Plus, anywhere you go you'll likely be spending $50-70 anyways after all is said and done, you might as well go somewhere sanitary and reputable. The only thing I will say is parking can be a nightmare. There's some street parking in Front and 3 or 4 spots in the back but be aware - plan ahead in case you have to walk a bit and park up the street read more

It pains me to write this review and I've been thinking about it for a lonnnng time, but I do feel like it's worth sharing so that others know what to expect. Let me preface by saying I had been getting my nails done at Nirvana for years. I began going during Covid when my other nail tech moved away; at first I was doing both manicures and pedicures. At first I just assumed it was a no-frills kind of place when they didn't have you soak your hands and feet soaking was for only a minute or two, but I think their model is "get in, get out." They were very quick in terms of service (only 30 minutes for either a gel pedicure or gel manicure) but sometimes quality seemed a little subpar, like they were sacrificing quality for packing in appointments. There was eventually a turning point where I stopped getting manicures: I had one of the male techs force me into getting dip powder as opposed to gel. Despite me telling him I wanted gel and had only ever done gel, he didn't listen. I asked to have my nails shorter and he disagreed and wouldn't file/cut them. The dip powder treatment is more expensive than gel and I just think he wanted to up-sell me. They only lasted one week before I was seeing chips. After that, I decided to go elsewhere for manicures, but I stayed with them for pedicures due to ease of appointment booking. I think my biggest/overall complaint is that the vibe here is just off. There's something that I can't pinpoint but something is weird here...maybe it's the management, but the employees do not seem happy and no one is overly friendly. The vibe just feels tense. I had one instance where I parked across the street at the liquor store and that owner came in screaming at them to move it. Instead of apologizing to me for it, they just asked me to move my car (if you've ever been to Nirvana, you know how small the parking lot is and the limited parking options nearby). It was just weird and made me feel uncomfortable. I've also been accused by some nail techs of "cheating on them" by not coming in very often (I try to go at least 8 weeks between to save money and because I'm busy) and again, it's something that makes me feel uncomfortable. Overall, there's nothing super egregious that has happened that I felt the need to stop going sooner, but once I tried another nail salon recently, I realized that there are better places out there. read more

Miranda Jonelle is the best nail tech I have ever used. She does excellent cuticle care (which) most techs won't take the time for. She takes her time and you will not be unhappy, my nails have no bumps, ridges or lumps and last 5 weeks (not that I suggest going that long in between fills). Her pedicures are to die for, she specializes in lympatic message which is heavenly. She also does the best facials I have ever had in my life (and I'm not young). Book her services today, treat yourself. She works Friday, Saturday and Sunday's. 775-622-8700 read more

This is my go to spot for an affordable, quick pedicure! It's easy to book an appointment online and they usually have tons of time slots open, even for last minute appointments. If you book online, they typically take a deposit but that goes towards your total price. The classic pedi is usually around $50 and it is extra if you need to have previous gel removed. From there, pedi packages increase with more services. They have a parafin dip that I love to spoil myself with every so often! Staff are quick, so this is not a spot I go if I feel like relaxing and having a cocktail. This is when time is essential and I just need a fast appointment. read more

I don't usually get my nails done but I'm told gel nails should last more than a week. Which my regular nail polish is good for at least a week but I was going on vacation so I decided to treat myself. The artwork was very pretty and the service was nice and friendly. But 4 days later my nails started peeling off!!! This was during vacation so it was not like I could go back and get it fixed. But I was so upset. I even used the email on their webpage to let them know what happened. It's been a week and haven't heard from them. I'm back now and only have 5 nails left and it hasn't been 2 weeks. I'm so sad, I should have painted them myself with my polish that lasts. At least I was able to put my own polish on once I got home. Lesson learned. read more

I wish I could separate my two experiences here because they were wildly different. The first time I came here was wonderful! I had my eyebrows waxed and tinted and the person was lovely! There's a private room where it all happens but the salon seemed clean and beautiful with all the windows. I was able to easily book online and they took evening appointments. It was reasonably priced and I had a great time. Two weeks ago I booked two manicures and two pedicures for a group of us. We got there and it was obvious that the appointments were more of a suggestion. The person doing my nails even asked if we were all walk ins! My manicure started a good 15 minutes after the other one and they were supposed to be 40 minutes but it was way quicker than that. We all had wildly different experiences - one pedicure went home with a bag, one didn't. One manicure had a soak, one didn't. I booked all the appointments so I know the pedicures and the manicures were the same "level". The polish was also wildly inconsistent- my gel nails look like I painted them myself and then ran errands before they were dry. There are bubbles I had to file down, paint on my cuticles, just really terrible. It's nice you can book online and book multiple people but just not worth it. I'll stick to just brows! read more

I have had a gift card for a while I haven't got around to using and finally found the time! I opted for a pedicure and was taken upstairs. The place is beautiful and has calm vibes. The spa chairs allow you to choose your massage level. The scrub, lotion and soak are offered in several scents for your choosing. I had paraffin wax added, which was nice and a good option add on. Everyone was nice, the place is busy, good parking and plenty of polish color options. I l I'm e that there is a regular polish option vs gel. read more

So crazy what ads can do to you. I was just minding my own business on instagram watching stories and then Nirvana Beauty Lounge appeared showing a before and after eyebrow and I was like, "Oooh." *click* checked out the results of the eyebrows and fell in love with it. I've been contemplating about getting my eyebrows done through microblading but when I ran into their page and messaged to ask a few questions I had in mind, this sweet lady named Brianna answered my curiosities and automatically scheduled with her. When I walked in the place my first impression was that it seemed super cute, chill, and modern vibe. I did have to wait a little longer for Brianna was working on another client but I got informed ASAP and met Brianna right away. She made sure I was comfortable, at one point I became uncomfortable due to my pregnancy and she was kind enough to let me adjust and still be able to work on my eyebrows. Brianna was fun to talk to for she asked questions and built natural conversations; she's such a sweet human. Resulting with my henna brows, absolutely happy with my decision. Already schedule my follow up for next month! And this part is irrelevant but I've never been the kind of girl to get her nails done or eyelashes done but I'm definitely settled on investing on my eyebrows. read more

This was my first time here, and I was happy to be able to book an appointment online for the same day. So that's a definite positive. I booked their ultimate mani/pedi, which was listed as $100 in the site, and was the price noted on my email confirmation. When I went to check out they said my total was $110. I showed them my confirmation and the host went to go talk to my technicians for clarification. When he came back he said the extra charge was for a paraffin wax upgrade, which I had not even asked for. I just paid the extra rather than being argumentative because I know he was just doing his job. I might give them another try but I will definitely make sure to verify what I'm being charged for. The salon itself was nice and clean, nothing super boujee but not cheap feeling. read more

This is my first time coming to Nirvana, and also my first Mani pedi. The place looks nice both inside and out, the drawback, is the parking is limited. When I walked in, I was greeted with warm welcome by the receptionist. Being my 1st mani pedi, Asia / Ashisa ( spelling ) I apologize in advanced for spelling her name wrong. She is awesome, being gentle and friendly. The service is great, I would recommend this business to others who would want a relaxing spa day. read more

What can I say? Kevin is the best! He's nice, patient, creative and love how he's always down to replicate a photo design I found on IG (for the most part) He also recommends the appropriate gel/dip based on the length of my nails since I usually wear my natural nails underneath. They also tend to stay on sometimes at least 3 weeks - well worth the $60 for this set. P.S. the only downside to this salon is the parking! My daughter and I got pedicures 8/17 by 8/19 this is all that was left of her polish. It had completely come off most of her toes. I called on 8/19 and asked for a refund as we were heading out of town and wouldn't be able to come back in for them to fix it. I was told that the supervisor Sam would call me; when I asked if Sam would call the same day I was told "she works when she wants" it is now 9/1 and I never received a call from the supervisor. I used to get my lashes done here and it was always great. I went a few weeks ago, late on a Saturday (by appointment), to get my nails done. The tech said he could do a nail design I showed him. By the end of it the art was nothing like I showed him. If you can't do the nail art, JUST BE HONEST. Eventually I will find out you can't really do the art, right?? So WHY LIE? The nails were really badly shaped as well. There isn't even an apex on most of nails, just flat. Then I got a pedicure, she told the tech who did my nails she didn't really want to do it, so I started off the pedicure knowing my tech didn't give a crap. It was the WORST pedicure I have ever received. I have received better pedicures at beauty schools. Maybe instead of concentrating on hiring people who are attractive, hire people who are passionate about what they do. I paid a lot of money for crappy service and crappy nails. Do better. read more

Girls nails day date! What do you do with teen girls besides shop and talk about makeup. I made an appointment for my daughter and niece to get their nails done at 4 pm. They weren't taken back until about 4:15. Hary worked on my niece and Kevin did my daughter's nails. They turned out great and both nail techs were awesome. My four star rating was for the wait time after our appointments. I know they were short staffed, but the patrons after us were losing their cools. This salon/spa is beautifully crafted and located near midtown. Both girls have been here before with my sister and it's their spot. I was hoping for a pedicure while they got their nails done, but they were too behind to fit me in for a spa pedicure. I've been trying to find a nice place to get my nails done, and since the is near the University, I though id give it a go! The online website is easy to navigate, they have good availability times too. I arrived early and was taken in immediately after (10:30 appointment time), and I'm not a chatty person so I appreciated the quiet time, it's nice to catch up on a book. I booked a classic pedicure, so I had a warm water foot soak, cleaning up the nails (trim, file buff) and then she used a machine to get to the rough spots of my bottom feet, which tickled. After a final soak, it was onto the gel polish, which was a clear coat, the pink gel nail polish, and the white french tips, all under a blue light so it can cure. After all that, it was a short but good lotion massage on both my upper calves to my feet. I paid $15 deposit on the online website to confirm the appointment and another $40 (which includes the $5 add on for the french tip design) after the appointment. I don't know why on the receipt it says the Nirvana Pedicure, when I got the Classic Gel pedicure, but the price adds up anyways so I don't care. read more

I have been going to Nirvana Lounge for a year now and have always had the best experience! I usually get an acrylic set every couple of weeks and a pedi once a month or so and I fall in love with every set I get! The nail techs really take their time to shape and design your nails. I have been going to Kevin religiously but have friends and coworkers that speak very highly of Tammy and Andy as well. The place is very clean and modern with lots of light and low music. They offer a verity of services as well including waxing, lashes, and facials. Their nail services include acrylic, gel, and dip. ***UPDATE*** A huge shout to Michelle for making my pedicure experience right. Nancy was amazing. Her attention to detail and her pride in her work shined like a beacon. She even picked glitter out of the bottle to make sure all my toes got even coverage. I can't say enough good about how well I was treated today. My sister also got a manicure today and said her treatment was fantastic. Thank you. We will be seeing you soon. This was an anual family tradition, pedicure day out. The service a little lacking. 3 of us ordered the same pedicure package. The Ultimate. Hot stone massage, mud facial, and several different therapeutic scents to choose from. My service consisted of about a 15 second hot stone massage per leg, my sister got probably a minute per leg and my daughter was probable over 5 minutes each leg. I was not given a choice of scents, although I do like my nail color, it was not consistent with the color I chose. I was not given the option to take my pedicure tools home with me, and when my VERY FAST pedicure was over, I was asked to depart from my comfy chair sitting next to my family. Despite having just received a pedicure, my heels feel rough and dry. Overall a big disappointment. I would have given less stars, but my daughter and my Mom got great service.my toes got different shapes, paint was chipped before I had even left the store. $300 for ?? Yikes read more

Brow Wax 10/10 They look good! Again she listened to what I said and did exactly what I asked! Brow Tint 10/10 A little bulky and a little dark but I have to wash them still! But still amazing! Nirvana Pedicure 10/10 I had just had a pedicure a few days before at another place and it just was not what I wanted. It did not look right nor did it feel right! So I got a new one! Morgan was amazing! Paid attention to detail and did exactly what I asked!! First the Atmosphere! Beautiful very spa like. It could have been quieter! There was a lot of noise coming from a guy right outside the door where I was getting my lashes done. Not trying to be quite VERY LOUD!! My tech was the sweetest and apologized, she tried to keep the conversation going so it was not as noticeable but I was tired and fell asleep so it was fine. The room was nice. I'm still so horrified by the service and treatment I received here. I went to Lesly for quite a while, and to begin with she was great, personality and artwork wise. However, the quality of my nails had always been quite poor, as they would constantly break or completely pop off within MAYBE 1-3 days of getting them done. It is clear she does not understand nor care about proper nail prep. She also would pin the blame on me, saying that it was somehow my fault that her work was so inadequate. She also over time became extremely unfriendly and unpleasant, and going to her became a totally stressful experience, not knowing if I was going to be yet again chastised and blamed for her failure to properly apply my nails at my past appointment. And she would run late into my appointment nearly every single time, once she even admitted she was 20 minutes behind on my appointment because she was gossiping with her previous client. She would constantly burn me with the lamp, and my natural nails were in horrific shape. It's so clear that Lesly no longer has any passion for her work or her clients. I have now been seeing a fantastic nail artist who blows her simple and uninspired "art" out of the water, as well as actually cared about my nails. I haven't had a single problem with any of my nails lifting. My nails are finally recovered from all of the damage Lesly did, and they are healthier than ever! Aside from her, this whole salon looks gorgeous from the outside and interior, but the service across the board is just awful. The blonde girl who sits or sat next to Lesly is constantly on her phone while actively working on clients. She never acknowledges them or even so much as speaks to them. And I'm really not trying to listen to you loudly argue with your boyfriend over the phone while I'm trying to relax and get my nails done. Trying to get someone at the front desk to acknowledge you is like pulling teeth. Just steer clear of this place. You'd be better off buying press ons off Temu. read more

This place is beautiful and modern and you will likely have high expectations as to the level of attention you'll receive. For me, those expectations were unfortunately not met. First, I really can't rave enough about the decor. The outside of the building is striking and the inside is just as impressive. I also love that you can make an appointment from their website. You need to know exactly what you want though, as once you get to the actual booking portion there are a ton of options. I'm a gel polish fan and there are 7, literally SEVEN, different gel manicure options. Some are descriptive if you've had manicures before but most look very similar and you may find yourself just randomly picking one. I went for the Nirvana manicure and was looking forward to the treat. Parking is a beast. Yes, the website mentions parking behind the building. Best of luck with that. I found a spot next door at the laundromat and it worked but I did have to circle quite a bit and looked for any street parking I could find. The ambiance is beautiful but loud. I would not recommend it for facials unless the esthetician rooms are noise proofed. My manicure was fine. A bit rushed maybe but overall fine. My pinky cuticle was nipped pretty good but the tech apologized and was more careful with the rest of my cuticle cleanup. Other than the apology, the nail tech barely spoke to me but I didn't mind too much. The hand massage was enjoyable but very short, especially since I had booked the option with the longer massage. Once he was done, he filled out a payment ticket, put it in the counter, and left. I was surprised and thought he for sure was coming back as I booked the Nirvana manicure which includes a detoxifying mask for your hands. I never got that. I went downstairs to pay and let the very nice gentleman know that I didn't get what I had booked. To be fair, he was probably going to adjust my bill or see what he could do but he was the only one working the front desk. It was so chaotic with techs and other patrons trying to get his attention, and I was out of patience watching him pulling up my appointment details only to get interrupted every 5 seconds. I was not unhappy with the manicure. It lasted about 2 weeks and didn't lift. However, I don't plan on going back as it was like getting a manicure in the middle of a factory. Just too loud and impersonal. To me, it felt like they go for quantity and not quality and I'm not interested in feeling anxious when I just want a relaxing manicure. And if you go, make sure you get what you paid for. read more
