Been going here on & off for the past 8 years and they never disappoint. They have a very friendly and outgoing staff. They offer walk ins (which worked out great for me today since I forgot to make an appointment) I would definitely recommend to schedule an appointment though. I've had gel nails & acrylics done here and my nails never lift or chip. The longest I've gone with my nail done here is a little over 3 weeks and then I can't stand looking at the growth.

I came in on a Tuesday afternoon hoping they could correct it since they only had 1 client. There was another tech who sat me in a chair and then left to hang out on her phone so after 10 minutes I left. I feel this place was a waste of time and money.

I moved to Sparks after retiring from my flower shop, Rose Petals that I had for 40 years in Tahoe. It is continuing my legacy. I have acrylic acrylic nails and tried a few shops here in Sparks. I was looking for a shop with Heart, Professionalism and talent. When I went the first time I was blown away by everything especially their kindness and quality. They are the very best in every aspect. They are busy yes because they are by fat the best but always gets me in. The Owners are incredible and everyone is so accommodating. I have done the shopping for a stellar salon for you. Ken does my fills and manicures. He is so personable and does a very intricate job. I know quality and this is the Salon for you. I want to start by saying that the nail technician who worked on me was very kind, friendly, and pleasant throughout my appointment. Unfortunately, the overall salon experience was disappointing. During my visit, there were conversations about drinking and other topics that I felt were inappropriate and unprofessional for a business setting. The atmosphere made me uncomfortable and did not reflect the level of professionalism I expect when paying for a service. In addition, I was unhappy with the final result of my nails. While I appreciated the kindness of the technician, the quality of the work and the overall environment did not meet my expectations. I always try to support local businesses and don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I believe it's important to share an honest experience so others can make informed decisions. read more

Worse Pedicure ever. No cuticle work, barely a massage and the gel polish job was like a student did it, Not completely on the Nail. Plus they don't clean the pedicure bowls very well. I would not recommend this Nail Salon. read more

Love this place! Friendly, Clean salon, great customer service. Went here after an upset at another nail salon, recommended by my daughter to try Safari nails. April 5th I popped my head in the door (first time) and asked if they would have time for a walk-in gel manicure, which they did. I jokingly told Michael that I'm so accustomed to crappy manicures that I'd be happy if this one lasted me only 10 days well here we are now it's the 19th and I'm shocked to have almost no chipping. Normally I'm lucky to get a week out of a mani so I've definitely been going to the wrong places. read more

Been so stressed, no time for myself and decided to spontaneously pick this place and get a pedi. Got me in super quick, and the pedi was just as quick. I NEVER review but this time I'm so disappointed, I just needed a little pampering! It was no more than 10 minutes to get this done. No massage at all, didn't clean my heals which are so dry and cracked, no lotion on my feet. Literally did a color change. People are nice but service was seriously disappointing. I just made an appointment another place for tomorrow. What a waste of $40! read more

I was in need of a manicure. Luckily they had an opening within 20 minutes from my home. My apologies for not knowing the manicurist's name to give him kudos for an amazing manicure. There were several customers receiving manicures/pedicures and of course chatting about their Thanksgiving holidays. The lady sitting just a few feet away complimented me saying I have nice pretty eyes. I appreciated the compliment. My manicurist filed my nails to a respectful length and polished them with a pretty speckled pink. Must be my favorite color!! I plan to return to Safari Nails again. read more

I went in to Safari Nails desperate, with a broken nail, and my regular nail tech wouldn't make time to fix it. Michael saved my day, so I canceled my regular fill appointment and started going to Safari Nails. The vibe is super chill & a lil modern. You can tell they run a good business by the clients that come in, bearing gifts frequently. Today, I got a full set by Vincent & I love it! He did EXACTLY as I asked, efficiently. &&& he squeezed me in for a last minute pedi. I couldn't be happier & HIGHLY recommend this salon! read more

One of my friends highly recommended Safari nails to me, I was excited to finally go into a place that I knew someone had a great experiences at. Raquel I think was the lady's name who did my nails. She was very friendly. Once another client came in her entire attention switched to her, I understand if u have more loyal regular customers. 30 minutes to start our pedicures with an appointment scheduled. Spa pedicure comes with massage. They did not massage my daughter, when she asked where her massage was they said they did it. When I asked why her massage wasn't done like the lady's next to us they said they did it. I told them no. $68 for a 20 min pedi and no massage, never again. The gal that answered the phone was extremely rude. I do not suggest going to this place. read more

I had an appt. on Wednesday afternoon June 30, 2021 to get acrylic nails and a pedicure by Friday one acrylic nail had to be replace. Then on Sunday the next nail came off. I call the shop on MOnday which was as holiday and left a message. Tuesday afternoon I did not hear from Safari nails so I called them. The same female answered the phone and said she got my message called me back but nobody answered - She said, " I tried to call you back" My response was, " why, didn't you leave a message?" at this point, she proceeds to put on a show for people at the nail salon and begins to raise her voice at me and says, " I don't talk to me like that" I try to explain to her that I am not happy with the services provided and I need to speak to a manager ( sadly, i think she as the manager/owner) . Anyway, she hangs up on me and when I call back a man answered and tells me to get out of there!!! I am reporting them to NV Better Business and contacting the City of Sparks Business Dept. read more

I love this place. I have been coming here for years. About 10 to be specific. I have always went to Hong who is the owner and I absolutely love her. I recently moved to Sacramento and I still drive up to Reno to have her do my nails. I won't go to anyone else because I trust her and I know she will do a great job. I am always so happy with my nails when I leave. The are clean and listen to exactly what you want. She is funny and is always in a good mood and happy to see me! The establishment is a great environment and the workers always greet me and are always kind. I love coming here and I will continue to get my nails done here. I love them! read more

I have pretty advanced scoliosis and I'm on a quest to find a reliable massage spot…read more Tl;dr after coming here a few times, I'm still looking. It's just kinda... weird vibes?? With an appointment, I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes, while (I assumed) my room was being prepped. Guess not because the face towels that were supposed to be warm felt like scratchy dry brand new never-been-washed towels 2/3 times I visited. For my most recent, my massage was on a regular table but instead of a cloth on the face cradle, it was a paper towel....... The hall door was OPEN during the better part of my last 90 minute massage...... Hearing people talking in the hallway and wondering if they could see my body if they walked by was not peaceful. They did some interesting limb bendy stuff on me that I think was trying to emulate Thai massage style, but it was just twisting my body in odd ways that felt weird with my scoliosis (which I'd already told them I had so idk why they did that). I kept waiting for them to return back to/take extra time to focus on the areas I designated on the tablet where my back muscles reallllly need extra care after moving to my lower body, but I am pretty sure they've never looked at my diagram any of the times I've been because this experience is consistent with all 3 visits I've had there. Came across my biggest pet peeve which is having stretches of time over a minute where it feels like the masseuse is just lightly spreading oil on my skin longer than necessary to run up the time. For these reasons and others, I was quite uncomfortable at this place and won't be back a 4th time. I really wanted to give it a chance and give the benefit of the doubt with more chances but 3 bad massages is a LOT of money to drop w little return for a public school teacher. Despite all that, the front desk staff was pleasant and the location is super convenient!! The quest for a massage that can soothe my tight scoliosis muscles continues.

Sasha is super friendly and has many years experience here and altogether. We went over styles I was considering and she talked to me every step of the way to ensure I was getting what I requested. It ended up a little shorter but I loved the style! She cut it dry to see how my hair would lay then washed and styled it all the while we chatted and got to know each other. She also helped give me some tips on what type of nails might suit my lifestyle since I've had issues with chipping in the past since I play a lot of sports. One minute she was saying she was taking too long, then later saying she needed to hurry up. It felt like Kim couldn't win no matter what she did. Honestly, it made things a little uncomfortable and for my wife... Kim stayed professional the whole time and focused on my wife's nails to make it to perfection. Personally, I rather have a nail tech take her time and do it right than rush through the appointment. Kim deserves a lot of credit because my wife's nails turned out BEAUTIFUL!! We definitely book with her again. I just hope the owner is a little kinder to her staff because from what I saw, Kim was working hard and taking good care of her customers.

I had a very disappointing experience at Safari Nails in Sparks. The salon itself did not appear particularly clean, which already made me uneasy, but the biggest issue was professionalism. The nail tech who worked on my nails was openly taking shots of tequila during my appointment. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing. Unfortunately, the quality of the manicure reflected the environment. The shaping is uneven, the builder gel/application is bulky and inconsistent, and several nails -- especially the thumb -- look sloppy around the cuticle and sidewalls. For the price paid, I expected much better attention to detail and care. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience genuinely made me uncomfortable. Cleanliness, professionalism, and sanitation should be the bare minimum in a nail salon. I will not be returning. read more

I've only come in here a few times considering I'm not in sparks very often.. but when I get the chance I love to come in here. The staff is sweet, helpful, very accommodating. My nails have always been better than expected. I'm a fairly difficult customer.. I never come in knowing what I want. But they always help me figure out what will look cutest, & they're always spot on. I am considering making this the only salon I visit, despite the commute. read more
