I got a $180 hot stone massage . This was the best massage I've ever gotten in my life. The attention to detail was unmatched, I left the room instantly relaxed. My only complaint is the amenities you could enjoy after your spa treatment; it's limited to a salt room, sauna, relaxation area and bar (the rooms are very small)

I had an amazing pedi day at the Refuge Spa! My nail tech, Alison, was incredible and helped make my "me" day that much more wonderful! This is now my new go-to for mani/pedis. Can't wait to go back for my next self-care adventure!!

This was my first spa experience ever. 46 years old, never been to a spa before. From the first timers perspective. This was an enjoyable experience. There is unfamiliarity so I don't know if it's exponentially better, but this first time event was very enjoyable. The service requested was the couples hot stone massage. The website on an iOS was not user friendly and became frustrating to try to book the service. A phone call did the trick. Showing up we were greeted well, filled out the necessary paperwork and were led away to change for our comfort. I'm not a photojournalist nor did I feel it was appropriate to pic flick away in a place where people are trying to escape and relax. But, I got one, and the waiting area was clean, relaxing sand comfortable. Hands down the massage was great (see what I did there ), the masseuses were professional, quiet and thorough. The quiet was the best part. That's the part of this experience I enjoyed the most. Even in the middle of downtown Reno, it was quiet, had a pleasant aroma, and just felt insulated. The experience was worth it, enjoyable, and while I will try Refuge again one day and would recommend them, I can't wait to try the other spas in our area. Thank you Refuge Spa

My friend and I had an amazing time, the pampering was just bliss, the facilities were amazing, the hot tub was so perfect, the drinks were delicious.... Overall the best spa experience I could have imagined.

My granddaughter had surprised me with a manicure for my birthday and I had only been to to those quick nail salons so I was excited to try this place out. I noticed how clean and organized it was. All the staff was exceptionally friendly. I had a lovely, relaxing time so when I needed a pedicure I decided to go here again. The best pedicure I ever had. Once again very clean, friendly service. The woman who did my pedi was very careful and actually took her time massaging my feet too. I never felt so relaxed having a pedicure I can't wait to come again

    After! Lovely!

Pro's: Great selection of services, convenient Con's: No hot tub, except for outside with other folks using the pool. Go back?: Yes! More... What a lovely day I had at the spa! I came in pretzel-twisted and achy and Brad set me straight, literally! I look forward to being a regular with him. I enjoyed the blood orange mimosa - not as sweet as regular o.j. I had time to relax before getting a pedicure. Look at the cute jewels they use to separate toes...too cute! Mandy did an excellent job. It was my birthday and they all were really nice to me and accommodating. I had a session with the wave bed....very trippy - liked it! The only reason they don't get 5 stars is the lack of a spa-only hot tub. Fun gift shop, too!

The moment I noticed the lovely eucalyptus fragrance as I walked out of the elevator towards the spa, I felt my body slowly start to relax and mind chatter drift away. It did take a few moments to quiet my mind but what a place to ease me into that. The Refuge name is perfect. Slowing my breath was an old memory but this place reminded me of the peace and tranquility I can transform my state of mind by doing this simple and gentle self care. Self awareness. Self love. The dark long haired gal who greeted me and gave me the tour was lovely. I would have enjoyed something from the bar but because it was Mothers Day, they set up a nice tea party including two teas, finger sandwiches and sweets, including macaroons. After I settled into my robe, which was a nice weight, and put my things into my locker, I decided to first jump into the shower and freshen up with their lovely smelling soaps and shampoos. Then I sampled the tea and sandwiches before sitting in the Refuge quiet waiting area where they had guest books scattered throughout filled with stories and messages from previous spa guests. (This was actually my favorite part of the experience). I enjoyed reading the stories of others here at the spa... I am touched with the sharing... The stories are inspiring and some with wisdom I am profoundly grateful to have experienced. To see handwritten notes from strangers is breathtaking and fills me with hope that humanity is still abundant in this world and peace is possible. Stories of young moms, aged adults with wisdom and women who struggle in their relationships and come here to reset to be able to face the world... even men sharing amazing simple gratitudes. Couples in love still and ladies who love themselves. It soothes my soul to read these stories.. thank you refuge. My treatment of choice was the canna-bliss massage with an added hydrating scalp treatment. They also included a foot scrub and lotion foot treatment. I wasn't sure what to expect with the cannabliss but next time I will opt for just a massage. I enjoyed the scalp treatment. Because it was the weekend plus Mother's Day, it was a bit busy. Bonus for me was finally checking out the Renaissance hotel.

The salon and experience was honestly so beautiful. The lounges and scents were so thoughtfully curated and elevated the whole experience. Sadly, I'm just disappointed in the results of a $200+ facial. I really thought my skin would be GLOWING but instead, I walked out with a cut to my face and now a scar and peeling skin. I let the receptionist know that I was unsure of which facial would be best for my skin type. Upon arrival, I felt rushed and the esthetician simply said that the Forever Young treatment, "is good for ALL skin types". There was no follow-up on skin goals. I've had a facial before and that esthetician made sure every product was selected and tailored to my skin. It's been a week since I let them know about my cut in the internal review but no one has reached out to remedy the situation. Just confirms my suspicion that they don't really care about clients. Not a terrible experience, but definitely expected more from this place. Just feels like a waste to what I thought would be a treat, an investment to my skin goals. Now I have a scar.

Spa Day with my daughter for Mother's Day. My daughter had a massage while I opted for a facial. I loved everything about the experience! On top of a wonderful facial the esthetician massaged my scalp and upper body-heaven! They have a sauna, bar, tea room and various relaxation rooms. The pool/hot tub just opened this week and we relaxed poolside all afternoon with perfect weather in the 70's. All the staff was so friendly and professional-will definitely be back!

I got a Groupon for my husband to try the floating pod. While I was waiting for him to come out the receptionist greeted me. Offered me water. I got an opportunity to tour the facility. They were very nice and answered my questions. I was able to do a body polish massage for myself the same day. There is a really nice waiting room where they come get you. They gave me a whole experience and I really needed it. My aesthetician was very nice great conversation. Overall I really enjoyed myself. One of the workers had a miscommunication and told my husband to go to the lobby instead of waiting for me to come back to the spa. I understand things happen and after that I needed the massage even more. So I guess it all worked out. I will recommend this place. And I will be back to try the floating pod for myself in the near future.

The spa seemed clean, but one of the saunas was out of order the day I was in. The massage was great! The attendant asked me for my pressure preference and the aromatherapy was not overwhelming or overpowering. My massage took about an hour but I had access to the facility for the day. I did leave after an hour since there wasn't much to do other than the hot tub and one sauna. Overall, I enjoyed the services but I do wish they offered more, like a pool, salt room, or other amenities.

We've been paying for a membership now for two years, but we are certainly reconsidering that decision. First of all we traveled all the way from Southern California, and we actually went to buy swimwear as so she could enjoy the amenities, beforehand as she has done before. Today she ran into a receptionist who refused to grant her that privilege, I immediately told her I could pick her up, but she told me she'd be done sooner, according to them. She said that they denied her because it was to limit the exposure to heat prior to the injections? Did some recent study just get published that says exposure to a sauna, jacuzzi or a steam room before getting injected 90 minutes prior is dangerous? I just find it hard to believe that this policy is in place when she arrived well over an hour before her appointment for them not to allow her to enter the facility with a day pass is very unpleasant action. Then to tell her that they would see her sooner but subsequently fail to meet that objective and to make her wait the entire time without any word or update is atrocious behavior. Because they did not see her sooner they basically cheated her out of a large portion of her day. How is this acceptable? How do the owners think this is treatment their clients deserve? This is as nasty as the ring at the bottom of a public toilet. You stressed my wife out, and made her far more tense than when I had initially brought her! What exactly is the point of ruining her day? Why is management unable to make good on their word? Why lie to her? Is this how you treat the people who support your business? What she hoped to be a refreshing experience turned into a nightmare. How can we possibly continue to support such an establishment in good faith? Why travel from LA? Why buy swimwear? Why have a membership here? These are the questions my experience from today are leaving me with. It enrages me that you disappointed a loyal customer and she's too sweet and kind to say it herself but the only memorable moments she'll take are that you were mean and you lied to her, and she'll probably blame herself. Not the best wellness in my opinion. This spa clearly has issues that it needs to resolve before I'd recommend anyone bringing themselves or someone they cared about here. Stay away from places like this.

I follow the spa's social media as well, and the non-invasive before and after changes she helps people achieve are truly astonishing. I would recommend the spa to anyone for a number of things, from my grandmother to people my own age (38). At B.G. you are provided with honest, realistic, personally tailored goals and results that look amazing yet natural.

It pains me to write this, but here you go..... and a bit long…read more Bella Grey Medical Spa! If you do AI on what a Medical Spa is, this is the definition: A medical spa, or med spa, is a hybrid facility that combines the relaxing atmosphere of a day spa with medical-grade cosmetic treatments performed by licensed medical professionals, such as physicians, nurses, or physician assistants. 'These services are supervised by a physician' and go beyond traditional spa services by utilizing advanced technology for a range of non-surgical aesthetic and rejuvenation procedures like laser treatments, chemical peels, and injectables. So my first question/concern/issue is that 'these services are supervised by a physician'. This is most definitely not a Med Spa that is supervised by a Physician. Emily's credentials are MSN, APRN, FNP-BC. Clearly not MD, DO, anything that would indicate Physician supervised. So, IDK? What do you think? So let's move on to that it is a 'hybrid facility that combines the relaxing atmosphere of a day spa with medical-grade cosmetic treatments'. I dare that you to go here and think that any treatment you have feels relaxing. Like wow, Emily, the owner does not give off a relaxing vibe at all. In and out in 15 - 20 minutes. Please tell me, absolutely not that. Relaxing? Definitely not. And let's move on to my last treatment. $10/unit botox special! Wow, she absolutely over injected my forehead, I had welts and had a Botox headache for 3 days. Have never had that in all the times that I have had Botox (30 years+). And the IPLs I have had are joke. It's just zap, zap, zap - I think 3 minutes? Others that I have had provided numbing cream before and gave 2 - 3 passes. I bought a 6 IPL package, did 4 - what a mistake. So I am 65, not that that matters - but for 30+ years I have been doing Botox, IPLs, Sculptra, Fillers, had a Face Lift, Eye Lift - you name it, I have done it. Am I vain? Absolutely! (just wait until you're 65, ha!) So, Emily will come back and say that I am the worst patient, that I asked a question over the phone if I could do an IPL and Botox on the same day. She will say that I was argumentative, that I yelled at here (I absolutely did not). She will say a lot of things.... but IMHO - take your time with your patients, just saying. I would also like to add that I have been in Healthcare for my entire career. 45+ years. This is not a place I would recommend or refer to friends. Clearly there are a lot of options in Reno, in town, find someone that is compassionate, understanding of your needs and takes time to give you what you need/want. Obviously you are paying out of pocket - so yeah, do your research! Now reading Emily's response, these are now my words/my response: I was never rude, I did not yell at her, I was most definitely not slurring, omg! I just asked a question on the phone. Could I do Botox and an IPL same - she responded and I booked my appointment for an IPL and Botox. That clearly did not go so well. She wants to keep on with the banter, make me look bad (why would you do that to a patient) I'm good and I know that I would never go back to her! So any of you that are in your 50s/60s as I am - I don't think Emily is the right person for you, I think she's early/mid 40s-ish?..... Look for someone that understands you, your age, takes their time with you. And this is an interesting response, right? 'Again, please stop. I have several witnesses to your belligerent phone calls where you are incredibly rude, slurring your words, and asked to no longer be a patient here. Please stop.' Oh my goodness! Please get over yourself! Yup, please provide those several witnesses, really? Honestly, who would say that? I will say the same to EMILY! You are a Healthcare Provider that is not compassionate, completely Rude, completely and truly all about you. So yeah, Please stop! Yowza! At the end of the Day, why would you want to go to a Provider that feels like they need to blast their patients? Emily is self absorbed/all about herself. So done!
