I visited Twinkle for the first time a week ago when I was able to get a same day appointment over lunch for a gel manicure. The space is very clean and open. It wasn't overly busy and it wasn't too loud as sometimes nail spas can get. I loved my technician Theresa, she was very friendly and helped do nail art for an upcoming concert I had. I appreciated her quality and when she thought one of the lines wasn't quite straight enough, she took it off and redid it versus just leaving it. She also helped give me some tips on what type of nails might suit my lifestyle since I've had issues with chipping in the past since I play a lot of sports. I thought the price was extremely reasonable at just $45. I will definitely be back. read more

I've tried to come back twice as a walk in and was turned away both times despite their signage saying walk ins welcome. You need an appointment here! Sadly, my experience here last week resulted in an antibiotic prescription. I am visiting from out of town and gave this place a chance based on reviews. I paid $68 for a deluxe pedicure. I then spent an additional $60 on an urgent care visit after I was cut and bled during the cuticle trimming, leading to a painful infection that I am still healing from. I'm sure this rarely happens, but unfortunately, it did to me. I recommend avoiding the cuticle trimming. Additional Feedback: - For the money, the nail painting and massage were just ok. - I got a light color (non-gel) that clearly showed mistakes. I had to ask for it to be fixed. - I had to struggle to put on one of my sandals myself (trying not to mess up the polish) before my tech was told to help me with the other. read more

All my favorites were on vacation, Tan & Henry, so I got a new girl who was super good. She had the cutest laugh., My husband came with me and he got the deluxe pedicure and he is still talking about how wonderful his feet feel! I decided on an Easter color pink. Lily did a great job on my flower decoration! It's amazing how they create such a beautiful flower free hand on a tiny surface!!! The deluxe pedicure are $55 which includes gel and $5 for decoration. My husband had a super long massage since he did not get polish which I thought was super nice! I've been to many places with my husband and that generally does not happen! Twinkle is a favorite spot in Sparks, it's easy access and I do recommend a reservation! Although they take walk-ins if they have time. This is my third time coming to Twinkle. I love how it's close by and not overly expensive. I got the basic gel pedicure for $45, but they have upped the prices recently. The staff does a great job of perfecting the perfect pedicure. I have not received a manicure here, but I'm sure they set the standards high like with their pedicures. The guy that did my pedicure this time was one of favorites because he wasn't too rough and still meticulous. I came here with my friend without an appointment and they were still able to accommodate us on a Saturday afternoon. For the full gel pedicure, it took about an hour. The guy even put my sandals back on for me lol. He went above and beyond to ensure quality service. There are TVs for guest entertainment while waiting and the massage chairs for pedicures are really nice. They even give customers free drinks. Glad to have found a go-to for my nails. read more

Drove up from Fairfield with my friend to shop at the Legends outlet. She wanted to get a manicure and pedicure so, while she got her services I sat and waited, debating if I want an eyebrow wax. It is located in a strip mall about a mile and a half from the outlets. The weather in Reno is perfect today. I looked at the list of services and have attached it in my review. Compared to Fairfield the basic pedicure was expensive at $48, but hey, this is not Fairfield. Lol Everyone was very nice and greeted us as we walked in the door. They have 11 pedicure chairs and about the equivalent in nail stations,. They seem highly organized and got my friend seated within 10 minutes. My friends experience of her services: she was not happy with the her pedicure although the color she selected was beautiful. I ended up getting my eyebrows waxed and it was quick and painless. This was my first time trying Twinkle Nails & Spa and they did not disappoint! My mom and I went in for two walk in pedicures. Everyone was so friendly, the salon was super clean, and they took their time doing our toes. Most places feel rushed like a drive thru, but they were the opposite. When the person tried to remove the acrylics from my nails, she noticed my real nails did not have protective base coating before applying the acrylics. Why is it so hard to find a place that doesn't rush your pedicure service? I checked out this place because of the positive reviews and I'm leaving disappointed. The salon is very clean and welcoming. I made an appointment for a gel pedicure. They quickly got me seated.. and quickly got me out of the chair. I want to start by saying I normally get my pedicures here. I've almost always loved my pedicures. I decided to start getting nails again and figured I'd love their full sets too. Unfortunately, they are so bad. I know these places are typically faster and maybe a little less quality than an independent artist, but I paid $70 + tip for what looks like bad press ons. The shape and length look good, but there is absolutely no APEX. They aren't natural looking in any way and they are so incredibly thin. Every time the tip of my finger nail touches something, they feel like they will pop off at any moment. I'm so disappointed that my favorite pedicure place has this as their standard quality of acrylics. Cleanliness is also a bit scary. She pulled drill tips out of an old mint tin and used a previously open nail file. Not only that, she cleaned the dust off her table with the file and then proceeded to file my nails. I'm so glad my daughter wanted to try Twinkle Nails for her graduation nails! I would highly recommend making an appointment. She got a full set with stickers and a fancy design. She loved it and her nail tech was awesome with making recommendations for the color and design based on a photo of what she wanted. I had a deluxe pedicure with hot stone massage and a gel color manicure. My nail tech was awesome, too! He was very careful and gentle with my nails and they turned out super nice! I really liked that they have the orange/citrus scrubs and lotions in individual packs rather than a tub. Probably more hygienic that way. Our appointment was at 4 pm and we arrived a little early. Brought my 3 granddaughters here to have their nails done. All are under the age of 10. Two got manicures with polish and one got a full set. While i was charged a lower rate for the 2 with manicures, I was charged the full rate for the third granddaughter's full set. Why? My granddaughter is 7 years old and petite. And before anyone asks, I did ripe for all 3 but I'm not bringing them back here. We'll find somewhere else that charges kids' rates for kids. read more

The first thing that i noticed when I walked in is this place is spotless. So clean. They're new, open four months, but it goes beyond just being new. These people clearly care about cleanliness. Next thing to note is the pedicure chairs. Holy moly, these are the most comfortable massage chairs I've ever sat in! I got the Twinkle pedicure which was so amazing! The pedicure comes with a choice of scented lotions and scrubs;, I went with orange - it smelled yummy. and they also gave me a packet of lotion for the road! They used a heater looking thing for my callouses and it turns out it's a cleanliness choice - to keep the gross stuff out of the air. Nail Art is on point and the massage was drool worthy. I'm a bit torn about this nail salon. I was greeted and checked in upon arrival. The nail salon itself is extremely clean, and there is new high tech massage chairs and equipment. I had an appointment for manicure and pedicure at noon and was not sat into a chair to soak until 12:15. I soaked for 10-15 minutes until I was finally serviced for my pedicure at 12:30. There's a big selection in bright colors but little to no selection in neutrals and whites. I was a bit frustrated because it is apparent that they are short staffed but they were not willing to turn anyone away. They were taking walk ins and not making people with an appointment a priority. My pedicure went well and my nail tech was friendly. For the pedicure it always depends on who you get. Three weeks ago I got put with someone and got the deluxe pedicure and was only in the chair for 40 minutes and got the basic package for deluxe price last week I was in the chair for 1 hour and actually got a massage. The lady that did my pedicure though last week also did my manicure and did a bad job it didn't even last a week. She made the nail polish so thick and gooey. She was rushing the whole time on my manicure and could barely even do polka dots. On top of that the manicure costed $60 for a job that should've costed $30. The vibes in the salon are good it just sucks that I couldn't communicate my concerns with the lady because she didn't understand English that good. After my first experience here I will think of them as Nail magicians! I made an appointment to be safe and was put in the books for a same day appointment. Walking in on an afternoon it was pretty busy. It took a few minutes for them to notice me but I know they were all with customers. It was really nice as since there was a long row of seats, I was spaced apart from others. Having been to other nail salons they typically seat us altogether even though there is ample seating, so this was nice. They have a current special for gel pedicure plus foot massage for $45. My nail tech was magical, it almost felt like I was at a massage spa. I love the variety of nail polish color options, and the place itself is bright, clean and inviting. Utensils are in separate sealed packaging as well. I believe it was one of the owners after that came to chat, and check out the nails. I also, like the fact that I was told I can hang and relax for as long as I like. Another great pedi experience! This time I did a walk-in at 5:45pm on a Friday night and there was 1 person in front of me. I only had to wait about 5-10 minutes before they took me back. My tech was Pan and he was a joy to chat with and was a true professional and super funny. He did a great job and I love my pedi! The only negative (and this was mostly my error) was that I was tight on time. I was told I could be out in 30 minutes, but our conversations went long. I was super pressed for time at the end of my pedi and I had to opt out of the leg massage and lotion. That was a bummer because this is typically my favorite part! All good though! I am so disappointed. I usually love this place, but the guy that did my pedicure was awful!! For one, I told him not to put any of the skincare products on my legs, not once, but 2x as well as his coworker telling him 2x and he still did. He also made me bleed while he was doing my cuticles and I just wanted to get out of there so I didn't even look at my nails up close till I got home, but they're so bad. While on vacation, I decided to get a set of nails done which meant when I came back to Sparks I was going to have to find a new place to get my nails filled out. I haven't had my nails done in a very long time so I really didn't know where to go so I booked an appointment here. It was close to my house. It was easy to make a reservation and everybody was friendly when we walked in the nail tech was nice. She asked what colors I wanted the shape and how long I wanted, my nails, however when she was using the drill to file off the other nail gel polish that was on, she left the drill a little too long in certain places, which, if you've ever had your nails done, you know that it can get quite hot. It happened on more than one occasion so that is why I'm not sure I would 100% recommend this location to get your nails done I know accidents do happen and that just kind of happens occasionally however it happened on pretty much every nail and it can be quite painful in the end. The nails were great the color I chose that I love the length and everything else was wonderful. She was very quick and if needed, I would go back, but I would probably pick another nail technician however, I do not know the nail technician's name as she never introduced herself to me so for now I'm off to find another place. read more
