Tasher was my stylist. I brought a photo and asked that he try to get my cut as close as possible, but to rely on his expertise if it needed something different. It was a drastic change. He was worried, and rightly so, as I hadn't had more than bangs and one length dead end trims for 10 years. I love my new style! It is cute, modern, and easy to care for. I couldn't be more pleased with his work and Tasher will have a new, long-time client!!! Thank you, Tasher!!! Oh, and the shop was cute and clean. And I love the beachy, outdoor vibe. How can you go wrong with a collection of VW buses all over the place! If you are looking for a new salon or a new stylist, I highly recommend Shearz and Tasher...although in peeking at the work being done on other clients, I believe any of the other stylists would be good choices, too. read more

If you are looking for a top-notch stylist, I highly recommend Alecia. She is a great listener, provides recommendations and has an eye for style. I've had the same hairstyle for 20+ years and she gave me a new look. Nothing crazy but just enough that wasn't too much out of my comfort zone. Alecia is very pleasant and great to chat with too. You won't be disappointed. read more

I love Schearz. I go to Erin. She does a great job. When I ask her for ideas the ones she suggests are perfect

I think they're perfect for men's haircuts and the barber was very kind cutting my 9 year olds hair. I went in for a trim as I'm growing out my hair. $45 for a shampoo, cut and style. I walked out paying $60 with tip. Not bad! We were all walk ins mid day during the week, it was pretty quiet and we were taken care of quickly. I'd be interested in trying their other services in the future. read more

Im really torn about where to place stars. I fell in love with photos of another customers Hair coloring which listed the stylist. And it's right by the house score! I called earlier in the week to book an appointment with Erin. Easily enough to get in within a few days for a hair cut. The day of I walk in and there was a gentleman and lady at the counter. No hello just a pointing on the appointment book. I actually said something first yikes! She wasn't sure if my name pronounciation. No biggie. This is where the disappointment kicks in. I sat in the chair covered in a drape to talk about hair length when she pulls out a brush that had hair hanging from it!! I should've up and left but that's not my style. Given the day and age of COVID I feel there should be exaggerated cleanliness add onto that being a germiphobe I was having a hard time. The cut was find and she gave me some hair treatment tips. Had it not been for the unsanitary hairy brush I would love to come back for a color treatment. She was really down to earth and the location couldn't be any more convenient. The pricing for a cut no wash was $35, not too bad in my opinion. But sanitization if anything is a big deal for anyone. So my quest for a great hairstylist will continue. To add icing on top, she was cleaning up when I was getting up from the chair and she pulled the long blonde color off the brush which contrasted with my reddish brown yuck. read more

I got my hair done today by Sara. I had never been to the salon but have to say it is by far the best haircut I've ever had and the highlights are flawless. I was pleasantly surprised. The salon is super cute and everyone is very friendly. read more

Jessica was amazing!!! She cut my hair exactly the way I wanted and took the time to help me decide on what color option to choose. I've never colored my hair before so she suggested just highlights, which turned out beautifully. I will definitely go back to see her. read more

Sean gave my son a haircut was courteous and explained to him the importance of conditioner.

Ok so I feel like this was a four and a half. I can't give it a four cause I am so happy and Noelle was wonderful. She was very sweet and made sure I was comfortable and happy. There are a few spots in the purple where I see yellow but it still looks wonderful and she said before I left that I could come back for up to two weeks if the color is coming out too much. I definitely want to go back to her again. read more

I told Tasher I wanted my hair shaved, he was at first reluctant. But we talked about how I thot about this a long time and because of health issues I wanted it cut off. I'm not bald, but it's perfect. Short short short on top and faded. I LOVE it! Such a nice guy. Friendly, funny. Took great car of me. I will be back! read more

I went in, I wanted a shaggy Stevie nicks vibe cut, had a video and everything. The stylist cut it to my chin (I wanted it above my shoulders) and cut it like a Karen. -10/10, go here if your blind or 80+ and want a basic trim. Looking like Lord Farquaad, also didn't even get any hair off when she waxed my eyebrows. -Her name starts with an a or an E, Aaron or Erica. read more

I used to love this place but the last time I went was the last time. The prices got jacked up and the guy that cut my hair did not do a $50 job. I hate bad reviews but for some reason the salon has just went downhill. The owner is rude and short with people. And he charged me $40 for a trim that I could have gotten at cost cutters. No style, no shampoo. 10 minute trim. read more

I went here previously in 2019 and the lady that did my hair (I wish I remembered her name. She was so sweet and kind!) was the best and so sweet and helpful. My hair turned out really good! Fast forward to today, I've wanted to get my hair done again. So I called this salon and a woman named "Joy" answered and was an absolute a-hole. She seemed extremely bothered by my phone call and was so rude and short on the phone with her tone and voice. Needless to say, I found a salon that wanted my business and was actually kind. :) don't recommend this place anymore. read more

I love this salon. I have been here many times and used different people for haircuts and have always gotten great results. I love that they listen to what I want and not decide for me what is best. read more

There was a gal I loved here. She now no longer works for shears. They did get my grandmother in same day for a quick trim. She said it was pleasant and very quick. Good normally quiet location read more

Had my hair done today with Mary, for like the last 5 years I've been looking for a good hairdresser and finally found one! Thank you Mary.

All the stylist here are so talented! Every one of them are great at everything but each one definitely has a speciality! They also have a great esthetician for facials and Waxing and I believe they are starting to do paraffin wax facials and dipping for your feet and hands! They have a refer a friend special and if you get a service from one of the amazing stylists you can get a certain amount off of a service from the esthetician and vice versa! I highly reccomend this wonderful salon and look forward to more services! They also serve complimentary coffee, tea, water and wine! read more

We started going here after winning gift certificates in a silent auction. Sean is fantastic! He listens to what I want, doesn't push product on me and is just a good guy. My daughter has had mostly good hair care and eyebrow waxing from them, though she did have one not-stellar experience. My teen son's hair is always done perfectly. My husband followed his guy when he left. There does seem to be a bit of turnover but not awful. We've never been walk-ins but it seems like they are hit-or-miss as far as availability. read more

Oh My gosh! I met the most amazing woman today! She probably didn't know that I was at my breaking point when she met me. But the moment that I sat in her chair, she made me feel comfortable! Shearz salon has a very comfortable and laid back atmosphere. All the stylist seem very nice and friendly. Sean the owner and stylist does an amazing job on my blonde highlights. He gets the blonde just right and no brass without excess damage. It's so hard to find a stylist that gets the blonde just the way you like it. I highly recommend. read more

Nice looking salon but the lady who cut my 2 year old's hair seemed like she hated doing her job. Didn't even say hi, got annoyed when my son got scared with the noise from the clippers. She would just step away and stare and just not say anything, clearly annoyed. Not a good experience at all. Rest of staff didn't seem friendly either. To top it off, she did a terrible job on his haircut, so uneven! Not worth the $22 I paid. Definitely not going back and WOULD NOT recommend. read more

Annelie squeezed me in last minute and did such an awesome job!! She was the sweetest!! Loved how my blonde turned out!!

I give Shearz and Sean a huge 5 star rating. I've been living in the Reno Nevada area for 2 years searching for a hairdresser that was excellent at doing bleach on fine hair. After several attempts with other hairdressers, 1 even burning my hair off. I luckily found Sean! I consider Sean an expert. A true professional. My hair looks fantastic and healthy. Thank you Sean! read more

I got my haircut at Shearz yesterday, by Mathew. I called just a few hours before the time I was asking for, for the appointment and they were able to get me in. Mathew did a great job cutting my hair and was friendly and professional. Mathew is not only very wise about his craft, but calming, soft spoken, and very attentive. I absolutely found a STAR hairdresser!!!! He not only fixed my drab hair from an improper toner, and treatment, but exceeded my expectation on what he could do in just one appointment!!! He did amazing/ bright highlights! And my fine hair looks healthier than it did before without cutting it! He is sharp and made me feel comfortable and assured he had a good plan when we first met. Shearz has a friendly atmosphere and all that work there are kind. I'm so glad I met the owners daughter Emily, her father Sean ( the owner) runs a class act salon. Mathew is someone to see.
