Lisa and Kim at Lucky Star nails are excellent. The place is definitely an underrated gem with a great ambience, good drinks and a variety of nail polish options not available elsewhere in town! This is like the Las Vegas level nail salon in Northen Nevada. read more

First time coming here and loved it! Kim had such attention to detail with me. Both my pedicure and full set acrylic was done beautifully! Complimentary food and drinks at the front and a beyond caring staff! This is my new go to spot! Not to mention the interior design is amazing. Great music playing plus they offered me extra add ons and more free complimentary cocktails! 10/10 Would recommend. read more

The service and pedicure were great, but incredibly overpriced. $50 for basic pedicure, great. Gel was an additional $10 and callus removal was an additional $15. $75 for a basic pedicure is insane. read more

I've been coming to Lucky Star for years. The atmosphere is fun--I always end up interacting with others patrons and nail technicians. The pricing is comparable to other nail salons in the area. And it's located at the Legends Mall so you do a little shopping before or after. read more

Lucky Star Nails & Spa - Nail Salons Near Me - Sparks, Nevada

Cute place with nice decor. I got The Deluxe Pedicure. It definitely was not a 10 minute message, more like 5 minutes if that and it did not melt my stress away. There was no callus removal. The quality was poor. It was a basic pedicure with a paraffin wax treatment and lotion put on and rubbed in, not a masssage. read more

I went there with my daughter today for her to get a manicure and for me to get a pedicure. We had a 6:00 p.m. appointment but I don't really think there was actually a time slot that they reserved for that appointment. When we arrived, I explained that my daughter had long nails and she wanted to see how to shape them properly so she wanted to get a manicure. They kind of looked at us like we were crazy when I said that. Although it's a little odd, my daughter's nails on her index fingers had broken and were shorter....she wanted to keep the length on the rest of her nails. Anyway, they had me sit over in a pedicure chair with about an inch of cold water in the tub while they gave her a manicure. The manicure took about 10 minutes. Although my daughter said she wanted to keep the length of her nails, the nail technician decided that she wanted to cut half the length. During the manicure the nail tech was on a video call. She was extremely rough with my daughter twisting her fingers from side to side. At one point she put my daughter's hand in her hand and popped her knuckles at which time my daughter said please don't do that. Then the technician asked her, you don't like that? Her nails, in the picture I'm including, look like crap. When she was done putting on clear polish, the employee told her you're done, be careful. I was still sitting in a pedicure chair soaking my feet in cold water. After waiting another 10 minutes in the pedicure chair, somebody came over to finally start my pedicure. She turned on the water and it began spraying on me on the chair and making puddles on the floor. At that point I was kind of over the whole situation and said we were just going to leave. They did apologize but when I went up to the front counter the women that had did the crappy manicure, was ringing us up for the manicure. another woman, who I believe was the manager, came up and said no charge. I do appreciate that we were not charged. When there was previous owners and employees at this nail salon, I loved going there. The employees were friendly and did a great job. I always had Laurie or David do my pedicures, I see their pictures on the website but they were not in the salon. They were amazing, too bad the other employees are not. It's disappointing that there are new owners and although they have redecorated nicely, they are unprofessional and do not take any pride in their work. I wish I would have looked at the Yelp review before I went but I assumed it was the same management / owners. There is a reason this place has 2.5 stars. read more

After going to 2 different spots before coming here because of wait times, this place took me and my boyfriend in right away! They did an amazing job and my toes and nails looked so good! They were so welcoming and even offered us water, champagne, and anything else on their drink menu. Love it here! read more

I should have listened to the reviews and avoided this place. I was charged a price $45 for a gel paint job. No manicure, no soak, no cuticle trim, no massage just gel painting. As you can see from the picture my cuticle's needed work. The dremmel (electric rotary tool) tore my skin in 2 places. My nails looked better before I had the polished put on.... I paid cash if I were to use my credit card, I could have disputed the charge. read more

Lucky Star Nails & Spa - Day after gel polish - Nail Salons Near Me - Sparks, Nevada

We absolutely love Lucky Star Nails and Spa! The service is always great and the personalities are equally as amazing!

They ripped my gel X nails off after I specifically asked for them to be soaked off and then tried to charge me $25 when the website says $15 for removal read more

The ladies in there were nice and friendly. But i went in to watch my friend get her nails done and they kept pressuring me to get my nails done. I kept saying no and they did it the entire 2 hours i was there. Then told me they would make it cheaper for me and only charge me 55$ for acrylics nails but my friend got a set and they charged her 120$ for A SET. And then 80$ for a pedicure and getting her toes done. They are nice but pushy. And the prices are ridiculous. Nails were pretty though. read more

I came in to have a set of nails soaked off after calling ahead to confirm this was offered as a standalone service. I was told yes and to come in. Instead of a proper soak-off, the technician immediately began prying my nails off with nail tips, which was painful and clearly not the correct or professional way to remove nails. The nails that caused too much pain to force off were eventually soaked, but only after repeated attempts. The service felt rushed and careless. On top of that, I was asked three separate times if I was "sure" I didn't want a manicure, despite clearly saying no. The repeated upselling felt pushy and inappropriate, especially while I was already having a painful service done incorrectly. I also tried making casual conversation and was completely ignored. I was not treated with basic courtesy or professionalism, let alone like a paying customer. I've had this service done many times elsewhere and have always been treated with care and respect. That was not the case here. This experience was unacceptable from both a service and customer care standpoint. I would not return or recommend this salon. read more

I went twice. Never never again. I gave them another chance after a first bad experience. The first time it was a loud chaotic environment but I was a walk in so that could be it maybe it was just a busy time of day. So I found who actually does good nails here her name is Kim. Everyone else is 17-20 ladies who aren't trained in customer service. They have services on their website that they don't offer in store. Round two I made an appointment with Kim. She was there but for whatever reason she wouldn't come and fufill the said appointment. They gave me to someone with blonde hair who looked 15. I said no I asked for Kim and had an appointment with her and they said she wasn't there. Only for me to sit down and hear her in the back eating and laughing. Maybe don't accept an appointment if it's your lunch? I don't know I really dislike the energy and environment here I recommend not to go here unless you want to get a biopsy on your toe a month later that indeed was caused by there dirty foot tubs if you'd like I can also put the note from doctor where it says she's 90% sure this fungus came from a foot bath. read more

Ruby and Kim are great !!! They are fast and very talented I highly recommend coming here for a girls day prices are great

Well for starters we had an appointment for an acrylic fill at 11:15. We got there at 11am and instead of them starting my grandmother's fill they Decided to start all 3 of our pedicures. Well... that's what we thought anyways. They started immediately on 2 of our pedicures but my grandmother didn't get hers started for 20+ Minutes after being seated (no water to start soaking or anything like that she was just sitting in the chair waiting) Then my sister asked for the basic deluxe pedicure with gel polish and she wanted a French tip.... The menu they gave us said the pedicure was $40... the girl who did the pedicure said it would be an additional $10 for the gel. We said no problem. Once the pedicures were done, my grandmother then had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to come and do her acrylic fill.. by this time she was starting to get uncomfortable sitting for so long. Finally her fill was started. We paid for the pedicures and my sisters gel French manicure. Total came out to $215! They charged her $75 for the pedicure! I was absolutely appalled by that as she was quoted $50 for the French gel pedicure. Not $75! We paid and left once everything was completed. After the waiting, the price hike and such I don't think I will be returning. read more

my friend went in to get simple French tips with some small easy Halloween designs , seems pretty easy right? apparently not for Kevin, who's 30 years of experience couldn't even make French tips look good. I wouldn't recommend this place if your looking for something simple and cute, a god forbid your trying to go for a special design. They tried to charge 75$ for some shitty work but she didn't pay it. consider Other options before coming here read more

$40 for a poorly done pedicure. The pedicure technician seemed to be in a rush, and had poor customer service. I had to ask her to please remove the skin before she added polish. $35 for a very simple gel manicure. The tech was sweet and young, but my hands were never soaked and the cuticle was never pushed back, nor the skin was removed. This place looks like it has not been swept for weeks, and the equipment seemed dirty and unsanitary. I will not be returning to Lucky Star. read more

We were a party of 4 people getting pedicures. 3 of the pedicures started promptly and were amazing. However, my pedicure didn't start until 20 minutes AFTER everyone else, I didn't get any massage, and my tech (KIM) was on her phone the whole time. She didn't acknowledge me or apologize at all. She was arguing with her Wi-Fi provider the whole time and very distracted. She didn't say more than 2 words to me, other than reprimanding me for moving cold towels off my legs. I paid $50 for a total of 6 minutes of massage & 8 minutes of cold towel. I will never be back- after being the one paying $300 in services and receiving the worst service from the owner??? Terrible. Absolutely terrible. *Update- The owner reached out after seeing my Google review & refunded my pedicure. read more

My daughter-in-law, my daughter, and I each had appointments-two of us came in first, and my daughter about 20 minutes behind us. We were early for our 4:30. Not only did they flat REFUSE to paint my granddaughter's toes,(she is 2) they completely looked over my daughter after many times over asking if someone is coming to do her feet. They never asked us if we wanted something to drink either, after taking other peoples requests. They also took 2 more same day appointments while we were seated. And got THEM drinks. Pfft. After us two were done, we were asking about the 3rd pedicure, and someone rudely ask if she still wanted a pedicure. After 1 & 1/2 hours. One of the ladies turned around and literally SNAPPED at us. I will NEVER go back to this two bit skanky salon. Mind you, we were not rude at all, and were actually quite nice for being treated the way we had. I kick myself in the ass daily for not saying anything to the lady who snapped at my daughter. They don't care though, because they have hella business being in Sparks. What's three less customers. It's totally messed up because I thought I had found my go-to pedicure place. I wouldn't be caught dead in there now. read more

After almost 2 hours for a pedicure and this is the result... Didn't even get to enjoy it- and didn't even get the massage or the Jelly treatment because i was so frustrated- the girl had nails 6 inches long herself and couldn't figure out how to put loose glitter over gel polish- waste of time and $60... now I have to go for polish change tomorrow!! It was a pretty disappointing to keep telling the master that it's not what I want, but after two hours of your own precious time you just give up and spend $50 on n poor quality and cheap looking nails (polish over dip powder can you believe?!). For better or worse the polish started coming off in 2 days (!!!) wow, it's absolute record. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The owner seems to be more concern about filming some stupid videos rather than ensuring a high quality of the services and creating a pleasant atmosphere for its clients. #NeverAgain #WhenPeopleSteelYourTimeAndMoney read more

I went to Kim, as a family member referred me to her, but I do not recommend seeing her for nails at all! I got a gel fill, and I have been to multiple nail places, and I have never had such awful looking nails after service. I asked for and showed pictures of airbrushed white fade tips and this is what I got...and they are very uneven/bumpy and they charged me $55! That's the most I've ever paid for a fill before tip. Do not waste your money on getting your nails done here. Update: Kim, the owner, reached out to me and refunded my money back. read more

i went in twice last year. the first time i went in, it was good. got what i wanted. they were busy so i has to wait about 20 mins before. the next time i made a reservation for my wedding nails. had to wait anyways. i don't think they actually pay attention when they make reservations. i noticed other people having this issue as well. they make a reservation and are still having to wait 20+ mins. i got close to what i wanted for my wedding nails. but not exactly. she also kept asking me if i wanted other things. NO! i showed you and explained exactly what i wanted and still didn't get the same design, although cute. it was not what i wanted. it's my wedding nails! come on. she kept asking if i wanted add one and other things. i had a small, intimate ceremony, nothing extremely flashy. wanted my nails to match the vibe. i didn't need a bunch of other stuff. so don't try to pressure me into it. the nails are pretty though, so 2 stars for something. customer service needs to be worked on. many people have attitudes and are rude to the customers. read more

I made an appointment specifically with Kim for the second time now. I did this because I know she does good work and she's fast. However, she took and started on another person 10 minutes before my appointment time. I sat there an extra 15 minutes, then she passed me off to someone else. Bless the girls heart, she did a great job but took a very long time. Granted, she wanted to make sure the nails were great for my night out, but it took so long I ended up having to cancel my plans that were somewhat special to me. 2 days ago I made an appointment to see Kim at 8am today, her 1st appt. I liked her reviews, well most anyway but today I walk in at 7:55am after a 40 minute drive to get here and she has another customer which she's finishing up, so I gladly wait. Then she and the customer go to the back of the salon. After 10 minutes I asked her 14 year old daughter if she knew I had an 8am appt which was clearly shown on the wall She went back and she came back out stating that her mom, Kim said to cancel my appointment and make me another or wait...how long.. she's applying eye lash extensionssoabout an hour. Well, she has another appt.at 9:00. Kim never once addressed me...I feel like she snubbed me and could care less about the slap in the face she just gave me. My daughter and I have been here a number of times and we were always pretty happy with our services but the last two times have been a disappointment. When we showed up for our appointments, they didn't have us down on their schedule but said they could do it for us. We had a wait for a bit but that was fine. The man that did my pedicure was nice and convinced me to do gel even though I just wanted a regular polish and I wish I had just stuck to regular because he didn't do a great job. It's very uneven and bumpy and really not worth the $65 I paid. He seemed to be rushed and literally gave me a two minute massage. He really didn't put much effort into making it a relaxing experience. Kim did my daughters manicure, which she was so excited for and it was mediocre at best. Her polish is uneven and my daughter could tell she was rushing so she didn't get the nail design she wanted and just got plain polish since she could tell she really didn't want to take her time. I'm bummed because we use to like this salon but I after today we won't be back. read more
