I have just moved to Reno in the past two months so finding a nail salon that does not overcharge has been pretty challenging! I was referred to Lee from my friend and was amazed at her professionalism and kind manner. She is Delightful and Wonderful so do not get influenced by the reviews that are 5 Years Old! I owned my own salon for 30 years and I would have loved to have Lee on My Team! To top it off? She charges half the price from any other salon! Not only do you get Great Service, but the price is beyond affordable which will make me do my Gel manicure more often. Thank you Lee for this wonderful experience! My battery died and I couldn't check yelp for salon reviews. I saw the signage outside and stopped in. For the rest of the month, Lee is offering a gel mani and pedi for $45. Lee was amazing!! I prefer to get my nails done by the owner because they care about the the quality of their work. Lee gave me best mani/pedi I've ever had. She really took care of my cuticles and made my toes and nails look amazing. Lee is great to talk with such a warm Person. Highly recommend. read more

In Reno for just a short minute, killing time before heading to Tahoe. Called a couple places but they were all too long of a wait. Lee ended up fitting me in to her schedule for a last minute gel mani and WOW what an absolute angel. Cute little spot run just by her. She does everything from head to toe and the price for my gel mani was such a good deal! Can't beat it. She is THE sweetest lady and did a fabulous job. She mostly only takes reservations since she is a one lady show but forever grateful for her fitting me in. If you live in the area definitely reserve an appointment with Lee. Absolute gem! Showed up this morning and found the place to be closed, so I took down her number. Lee was very polite and professional on the phone, and booked me for an appointment for a haircut at 2-pm. When I walked in at the scheduled hour, I found Lee patiently waiting for me. She was very courteous and surprisingly did an excellent job on my hair, considering she only charges $8 for haircuts. She's also very sociable which is always a plus because I hardly find barbers or hair stylists nowadays who even give a damn about holding a conversation on small talk with their customers. Location is easy to find, and the setting area is adequate as well for satisfactory service. Will definitely come back. read more

NOTE to Yvonne: No one had a bad day coming in, we had a bad day walking out. Who leaves a customer sitting in a chair with her nails half way done, waiting for the technician to check lottery numbers and gamble? I think my review is fit for my experience with this business, but thanks for noticing it wasn't a good experience for me and my two sister in laws. =) I just wanted to let whoever is thinking to come here know, they have officially changed their name back to Lee's Creative Touch Salon & Spa, PREVIOUSLY named EUROPEAN SALON & SPA. So make sure you read these reviews, its for the same people, same owner. So I originally called a salon called Lee's nail something but guess they changed names and locations. to European Hair and Nai Salon. It was difficult to spot, hidden in a building next to the Peppermill casino. Came on a Sunday. I got a pedicure, my sister in law got a full set. This review will probably be the most unhappy review I've had anywhere before. First off, the atmosphere felt claustropbic and there was way too much stuff in there, the spa chairs are a couple steps up higher than the rest of the salon. There was only one nail tech when we got there. The lady we spoke to on the phone, while trying to find the place said she would be there. We sat and waited for about 5 minutes and the lady arrived. She told us she was the owner. She was full of energy and was babbling on about how she was playing at the casino and won some money. Anyway, I was seated at a spa chair. While the other lady finished a client. I saw her take the tools to the sink, I couldn't see from where i sat if she cleaned them right but I hear rinsing and stuff. And I already felt uncomfortable because I dont think she used procedural cleaning, because she came right back to me. She began to clean my cuticles, she did a bad job, it was sloppy work and i do pedicures on the regular, she would be one of the lowest ranked I've ever experienced. She just went over my toes cutting my cuticles and extra skin quickly. Like she was rushing or like she knew she was doing a good job or something. (BTW-I get pedicures every two weeks) She then went on to buffing, she used the longer dark gray filers and began to file all the tops of my toes (Which is definitely a no no, because youre ruining my naturally healthy nails) i was already annoyed by now, she was doing a F grade job, like she never went to beauty school before. She eventually used a smoothing buffer. Applied the polish sloppy and left lots of nail paint around my nails(meaning not on my nails) and didnt even bother to clean it up with a brush dipped in acetone. Horrible. I already decided then I wouldnt give her a tip. This was the first time i didn't tip a nail tech. She finished me in 30 minutes. During my session, my sister in law got her nails put on. Just the tips by the owner. and had 4 nails applied with the acrylic powder, then the owner told her, "i'm going to check my lotto numbers i'll be back in 5 minutes." she just said "um okay." well the owner left my sister in law with her nails not even halfway done. my sister in law showed me how her cuticles were bleeding, the lady was grinding so close to her skin they were all really red and the pinkies were bleeding. She was horrified, she already told the lady that it was hurting her and the owner said, "it's okay i won't hurt you" but still she did. 20 minutes later we're still waiting for her. I called the store number because I knew it was forwarded to her and she picked up and i asked if she was still coming back and she said she did. she arrived 10 minutes later. And finished my sister in laws nails. She applied the acrylic so sloppy that it took longer to file down so it was burning through to her natural nails. During the rest of her service, the owner was talking about how a lesbian was hitting on her and talking about how her husband doesn't run her, shes like in her 50's. Shes one of those over the top old asians, who think theyre still young. (BTW im asian too so dont trip) Neither did she tip. My other sister in law was there with us and she orginally was going to do a fill. but decided not to after seeing what we went through. We left. Never going there again. HIGHLIGHTS: Service: Absolutely unprofessional, offending to make us wait that long especially being new customers. And leaving in the middle of the service to check on your casino lottery ticket? Cleanliness: DIRTY. Tools are supposed to be sanitized for 30 minutes or longer to disinfect everything and she obviously just rinsed that out. Price: Cheaper than most places in Reno/Sparks. But that means you get cheap products, lowline nail polish selection and a claustrophobic salon. Will I go again or recommend? NEVER. read more

Well, call me stupid. I went there to get a pedicure and for the fourth time, yes, the fourth time the idiot said "oh I have you scheduled for tomorrow." Hard to believe I kept going back, shame on me. I have figured out that if you have an appointment and someone comes in that wants a more expensive procedure she will take them and to hell with you who has the appointment. I see from reading the reviews I am not the only one this has happened to. As matter of fact my neighbor just told me it happened to her. She is smart and not going back. My experience was the exact opposite of what Philicia describes below. I arrived without an appointment and was greeted in a friendly manner by both Lee and the client she was working on. After only a few minutes wait, I was seated in the spa pedicure chair. Lee spent a good amount of time on my cuticles and nails and also worked on my calluses and a blister I had on my foot. When I selected an Opi polish that was a bit lighter than anticipated, Lee put on a third coat without complaint; when I smudged one toe before leaving the salon (I'm always too impatient to wait long), Lee also fixed the problem. Throughout the entire hour she worked on my feet, Lee was cheerful, talking a bit here and there but not so much that I couldn't enjoy some quiet time as well. I got a full set acrylics. They have lassted a really long time. She has a large color selection and is super nice. She shapes my nails just how I wanted them. Definitely recommend going to her. I will keep going to her for my fills! read more

My time is VALUABLE and when I make a daily schedule it's important to stay on track, Lee, the owner, doesn't really give a damn about your time or schedule. When I arrived on time for a scheduled appointment (for the THIRD TIME!?) and she wanted me to wait .....and ... they do not respect your time which is EXTREMELY unprofessional. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. Wife asked me to go back, so I made a pedicure appointment with Lee on Sunday , for 9am Monday. I arrived and the shop was CLOSED. Website showing 9am open. Called Lee, got her voice mail. WE ARE FAR BEYOND OUR LIMIT for this business. SUPER CHEAP? YES Worth WASTING OUR time? ABSOLUTELY NOT. She must be independently wealthy because she could care less about her customers!! read more

Stopped in since they had a good deal on acrylics advertised, unfortunately wish I hadn't :( both my index fingers got nicked and bled. I immediately disinfected them when I got home but one of them still got infected and my finger swelled a lot (which leads me to second guess their tool cleanliness.) As for my french tips, they were a little too bulky for my hands and every time she made them uneven while applying the acrylic she just globed more on making my nails way too high to look remotely good. I read the other reviews. I walked in as my husband was getting a message. It is a tad over crowded. However they were very nice. The new spa chairs are awesome. I got the 20 pedicure. it was nicely done. I felt the chair and tools were clean and no cuts. Nice OPI polish selections. Going back this weekend for a pedi-mani as I have a cast on my right hand. I have been going to this salon since it opened last August. I live in the area and can walk to the salon. Lee & Lon are good people and work hard to make sure they give a sanitary and satisfactory service. I've gotten pedicures, full set of nails, all my fills and even taken my grandson to get his hair cut. I don't know what this person had a problem with, however I myself have always been satisfied with the conditions of the salon, which were all put together by Lee, by herself, and it has always been clean and comfortable. Lon does a fantastic job on my feet and my nails. Lee does a beautiful job on hair. I've seen the results of her work on some of the ladies that have come in while I was there and I was impressed!!! She cut my hair and my grndson's hair. She was great with him and he was only 2yrs old. How she got him to stay still is beyond me, yet she did a great job!!!! So ladies in Reno, make an appointment, cause it's just the two of them and they can't always do walk-ins. You won't regret it. Sorry Philicia if you were having a bad day. Give them a chance to make it up or not. We don't need negative people anyway. There is only one word for this salon...UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I was a regular client until i made an appointment and was blown off for whatever reason by Lee the owner had for that day. My appointment was for 11am....I was told to come back in an hour, which I did and she had someone else in her chair doing his hair, she finally got around to me and she doesn't write anything down, like the color formula she last used on my hair and screwed it up and had to redo, so I could at least leave the salon....I didn't get home until 4pm!!!! She was also working on someone else the same time.!!! Then last month I came in for my regular fills and because others just walked in, my service was rushed through and ! sent out the door :-(((((((( Very Rude and unprofessional, and the only reason there is 1 star is because there isn't a zero star!!!!! I would not recommend this salon to anyone, unless you are up for abuse for something that should be a relaxing and pleasant experience. read more
