Tony was very rude. I asked him to fix the shape of one of my nails and he took it out on my entire pedicure. Worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Everyone else here is great! But tony just isn't. The skin around my nail was cut up, the nail was left uneven, the polish was splotchy, the corners of my nails are sharp and getting caught on my socks. He left my pedicure without a word and before I could stand up he's putting a new bag in the bowl. (Which makes me think he does this with everyone) I wonder whose feet were in the bowl before mine. No massage or anything! At the end of my pedicure I spoke up and the owner Anna offered to redo the pedicure and she did absolutely amazing. I am leaving this review to warn others about a deeply unprofessional experience with the owner. A month prior to my appointment, I reached out to the owner to ask if she could do a specific nail design. She confirmed she could, sent me a link to purchase the necessary products myself, and scheduled the appointment. When I arrived, her attitude was completely hostile. More importantly, she waited until after she had fully grinded down my natural nails--leaving them vulnerable and compromised--to inform me that she "could not fulfill my expectations." Knowing I couldn't simply walk out with thinned, damaged prep work, she painted my nails with something I did not request and still expected full payment before pushing me out the door. Holding a client's natural nails hostage after starting prep work to force an unauthorized service is unacceptable business practice. I went next door to Unique Salons for a different appointment; After, I walked to my car when I noticed a new sign that said NEW OWNERS... I decided to do a walk-in. Everyone who approached me was so polite. I waited a few minutes before they pulled me back to the Pedí Chair. While I waited, they handed me a booklet to pick the color for my toes. I was helped by Jane. She was so polite, she was so patient and I feel like she went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed and pampered. About a month ago, I went to my old nail place in another part of Reno... who also had new owners and boy did it seem too hectic with new rude employees who I felt were shoving suggestive items in my face. I used to loveee coming here for my pedicures. Everytime in the past that I've had Tony or JJ my toes come out so perfect. I went in today and while they're always great at accommodating walk-ins, the tech I had today didn't do that good of a job :( several of my cuticles are flooded and the polish on several toes is lumpy and not as smooth and even as it should be. Not sure if it's worth it to try to get a refund or get the pedicure fixed since I've never had a pedicure this bad and I don't know what their policy in regards to this. Extremely overpriced. I had gel polish removed and the cost of removing gel polish from my fingers was more expensive than when I paid to have it put on. I will NEVER return here-I felt completely taken advantage of and on top of that the stylist cut my nails extremely short and I had to go home and re-file them because they were catching on things. The person that did my nails was very aggressive. Kept pulling my arm and aggressively hitting my hand to get my attention. Didn't ask my nail shape. I asked for the old nails to be taken off and was ignored. I asked again, the tech said they were already grinded off. Okay? The last time I went, I had broken a nail, and mid way through tells me they have to charge extra to add a tip. At this point you're just paying for them to do whatever they want and tipping to be courteous. Not for actual good service. On to the next salon. I really want to like this salon but I just can't get on board with paying for mediocre service and sour customer service. Then I'm just seeing some of the more intricate designs and I'm like???? The "jelly" that is supposed to be a big part of the markup smelled awful "natural aloe" is not supposed to be lime green Pedicure was very good but not worth the price i paid I had picked two colors (that matched as close as possible) for pedi and mani and was told i didnt have to that they had the same color for gel and dip with the same code My hands are basically translucent with a hint of pink instead of the clearly pastel and opaque baby pink of my toes. I showed a picture of the design i wanted they said no problem All of a sudden i get an ok cash or credit and i asked about the design. The response i got "sorry i got distracted" i said ok but they can still be done yes. The response "thank you see you next time" i asked if the color would darken - he said ok yes its the same color.
