Finding a decent nail place can seem like a treasure hunt these days, so I'm very lucky to have nail bar only about ten minutes from my home. It's a breeze knowing I can walk in or make an appointment, but I usually always make an appointment. Lately I've been getting the same girl doing my nails. I've had many designs done including cherries, pearls, and Hawaiian flowers. The cherries were the best nails I've ever had. They tend to run late most times, so I wouldn't book if you're in a rush to go somewhere soon after. Price wise it's not the cheapest, but it's also not the worst, and for a clean feeling salon with good employees and results it's worth it. I've never felt like anyone was rude or talking about me, which should be the norm, but my ladies know that it's not. So something I enjoy here are the kind employees. read more

Everyone there was very nice great conversation going on in the salon. It was pretty busy. I was impressed that I was able to get in so quickly. Did a good job of the actual pedicure, but I just didn't like that the only option they had for pedicure bath was some neon colored soak. I am always impressed at how kind and skilled they are. Anne is the owner and is a ray of sunshine. It's so hard to find a good place to get your nails done here in Reno. I decided to give this place a try since my granddaughter had such a good experience. Booking my appointment was pretty fast and easy. Walking in they greet you right away. I noticed how clean everything was which is a big plus for me. No one wants a dirty file used on your nails. The girls and the owner were all very nice. My nail girl did a great job. Since the last place had used acrylic on my nails I had my nails totally removed and redone with gel. My tech was very nice and after she got all the acrylic off she redid them in gel. I enjoyed my service and my nails last about 3 weeks which is great. I recently had a pedicure done as well and I loved how clean the foot bowls are and everyone is very nice. I do recommend this place if your looking for a place to have a mani or pedi. read more

A great new find for me for a nail salon even though they've been here a few years. This is a cute clean salon with a ton of choices in colors for your nails. Nice chairs for Pedis and offered you a beverage with your service. They specialize in gel nails and are a busy salon but do make appointments. My appointment was with Anne and she was very knowledgeable and explained the differences in nail types, removal and fill processes. Conveniently located off Moana ln with easy access. What a refreshing experience! I was desperately searching for a new nail salon after having way too many repeated bad experiences at a nail salon in Midtown, which name shall remained unnamed. I reached out to several independent nail technicians, but they were either not taking new clients or didn't have availability on the days that I needed. I'm very flexible with my availability so it was starting to get a little bit into desperate times. I decided to do a yelp review and found nail bar. They had a little button in which you could request an appointment and I took a chance and clicked on it. To my surprise, I got a response within minutes with availability the very next day. The person that was replying was very helpful and accommodating, and took my appointment without needing to put a credit card card down. I would have been happy to do so if necessary. Now onto my experience. I walked in and the place did not smell heavily of any chemicals. I was greeted immediately by my nail technician, Becky. She was very pleasant and had nice conversation during my treatment. She paid attention to detail, and my nails looked the best they have in years. I also noticed that her equipment was very sanitary and she used sterilized tools and/or disposable tools. There were several other nail technicians there, and everyone seem to be having pleasant conversations. Other nail salons that I have gone to it seems as if you are being rushed, and sometimes the owners are speaking to the employees in secret or other languages in a very rushed tone as if to communicate something that customers are not intended to hear. This place also had a separate section in the back for pedicures with what looks like massage chairs, and televisions. I was highly tempted to jump on in and get a pedicure at the last minute, but we'll have to try that during my next appointment. I asked about booking my next appointment and they said that they were happy to do so, so I went ahead and did that but they also say they take walk-ins daily. read more

Called ahead and they were able to squeeze me in as a walk-in (I think someone else no-showed). They only have one price for gel pedicures, $65, but it includes everything: callous removal, scrub, mask with a hot towel, lotion, and a massage! The chair was super comfy with a massage feature, and there's a TV to watch while you relax. The spa is clean, no strong chemical smells, and no loud music, just a chill vibe. My pedicure came out perfect: smooth, clean, and polished exactly how I wanted. It's my first time here, so hoping it lasts, but overall a positive experience! Really nice salon, and great atmosphere! The previous reviews said it was very clean, but I felt like it was like any other nail salon as far as cleanliness goes, so I wasn't quite impressed with the cleanliness. My nail tech didn't say anything to me at all except asking me what I wanted done, even after I was kept waiting even though I had an appointment. I got a full set acrylic and gel pedicure. I felt the manicure was a bit pricey, especially considering the shape of my nails weren't even, and they weren't straight. I love this nail salon! I have tried several other nail salons around the area, however, they can't get it as right as nail bar. My requests are usually simple gel mani and pedi. Other places leave my cuticles and nails chipping a couple days after my appointments, but mm **chef's kiss** my nails up until my next appointment several weeks later. My tech kept checking in to make sure that I liked my nails and was precise on making sure my nails were even. The staff members are so so nice and attentive. I love how Ann checks in with everyone. The place so cute and clean. The ambiance is very chill, and young, modern ish. The music is like RnB/Pop, with artists like William Singe, ZAYN, Conor Maynard, etc. (solid 2016 tumblr era music vibes). I think the pricing is pretty standard. Parking might be difficult, but there is a lot. The salon shares it with several other stores around. They try to be open for walk-ins, but honestly they are really busy every time I have gone. If I ever walk-in, sometimes I have to book for the next day or several days later. However, Ann tries her best to book you in or call back if there are any open appointments! I was super looking forward to trying a new nail salon for a pedicure. I booked an appointment for my mom and myself, and it seems that a few days out they fill up pretty quick. Things started out great, they let you pick from an aroma therapy powder that is dropped into your tub. My technician was very sweet, and we had nice conversation. They even gave me access to the remote. I want to say there is 4 total pedicure chairs. I really liked the set-up, it's very bright and inviting and I liked that the pedicure area was separate from the mani area. There is a plethora of colors to choose from. Things just took a weird turn 3/4 of the way through the visit. After the toe separator was being removed it hit one of the big toes causing a big dent. I would assume that the coat would be removed and polished over (to not have weird bumps). But just a portion was wiped off causing weird texture to remain on one toe. At the end of the day, I noticed on the other foot the same thing happened where there is a weird texture on the other large toe. I know the next appointments were coming in and I'm thinking she was feeling rushed because I was feeling it too. I was told that the top coat would be applied but it was only applied to two toes! I did find it interesting that it is called nail "bar" but after reading reviews had seen that no one mentioned a beverage. When I was walking to the restroom I saw there was a bottle of wine sitting. I'm assuming that we have to ask for something to drink when it should be the other way around. It's always a bummer to leave disappointed since getting a pedicure is a splurge and supposed to be a special treat. read more

Wow. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The decor is beautiful and so well thought out. Neutral light grays and white. Very clean. I had a pedicure done by Amy who was wonderful. She conversed with me nicely the whole time too. She did an excellent job on my toes. I love that all polish colors are presented on a nail board. No standing in front of a wall full of colors wondering how they will turn out on your nails, plus you can slide your finger under them to see how it will look on your hand. Ann the owner did my fingers. She's a delight. Soft spoken with the best zen energy. What I really liked is that I went in there not knowing what I wanted because I never get my finger nails done. She listened to me and suggested hard gel. She could have suggested acrylic or tips for more money but she chose the best option for me instead. That's how I know I'll go back. I made an appointment for a hard gel pink and white fill. The manicurist was very nice and professional. The problem I have is that she did hard gel builder then did gel polish for the white and top coat. I get hard gel because I'm a hairstylist and mom so I'm hard on my nails and they need to be sturdy. I've been getting my nails done for over 20yrs. When I pay $75 for a hard gel fill I expect all of it to be hard gel. When I asked her to do the white in hard gel she told me she couldn't because that's not how she was trained. It has only been less than a week and my nails are already chipping off. I shouldn't have to pay $75 if you're not doing the service correctly. I would not recommend this place. read more

I got a manicure with Ryan and it was absolutely amazing to spend time with her and she did perfect work. She was so thoughtful and constantly made sure that I loved how my nails were looking throughout the whole process. The place was clean and everyone was so nice. Even though my appointment was delayed they offered me refreshments and set me up with a Christmas movie in the pedi chairs in the back room. The services here are decent but the scheduling needs improvement. Nail bar called and moved my 5:45 pm appt back to 6 pm two hours prior to my appt, no biggie. I arrived at 6 pm but waited for 25 minutes for a tech to start on my nails. At the end of my pedicure the tech said you can stay here as long as you want, but I have to head out.... I was confused because my appointment was for a mani/ pedi. I mentioned that my appointment also included a mani and the tech was surprised, she offered to do a quick sand and polish but at that point I was just over it and didn't want a rushed half mani so I went home and painted them myself. I came in for a gel pedicure with Melissa. I didn't have an appointment, so I waited about 20 mins for Melissa to come in for her shift, which they warned me about right away. She was friendly and efficient, and did a great job with removing old gel, cleaning up my nails, and applying new polish. She noticed a wonky spot after the initial clean-up, and went back to fix it. Great attention to detail! She did a nice job with the massage/scrub/hot towel, too. Total price was $65, plus tip. The salon is clean and bright. Discredit my words all you like, "manager". The fact of the matter is, you charged a new customer $50 for a soak off. Your response back is a reflection of your business model, unapologetic and wrong. LA or not, if you do not meet industry prices, people will catch on and your company will be scrutinized for it. There should be no reason a removal of a set is the same price of getting a gel pedicure or more than half $$ of a full set of LA priced medium/long acyclic. My proposal, is to do better for new and existing customers and to offer a menu detailing your starting prices instead of blindsiding them. From the looks of your other reviews, this is the case across the board. Service is not the problem at this establishment, it's upper management. It's clear from the other yelp reviews too that something needs to happen with management. Good luck and good day. To anyone who sees this.
