We loved our deluxe pedicures and our sister in law was totally relaxed. It was much needed girl time. Between juggling our busy/demanding schedules, our kids, we lean on eachother and it's reassuring to have sisters. I am a ProNail fan. I'm not sure if it's under the same ownership, but I frequented the Pronails on Robb drive because it was close to home and they were clean and reliable. It was my first time at this location. I love the bright and vibrant vibe. The massage chairs were amazing and new; I melted into mine during my pedi. I enjoyed the green tea and honey sugar scrub. Everyone was super friendly, attentive, professional, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They took their time, made sure we were comfortable, and did an amazing job. My issue is specifically with the nail service I received from Nancy. Before we started, I explained that I wanted my cuticles cleaned. At other salons, and even at this location years ago when I used to go to Queenie, my cuticles were always cleaned before the acrylic was applied. This time, Nancy waited until after the acrylic was already on to clean them. I even asked during the service when she was going to do my cuticles and was told "not yet." Because the acrylic was already applied when she finally did them, I don't feel like they were cleaned properly, and she also ended up cutting the corner of my right thumb while doing them. I was also charged an additional $15 for the cuticle service, which was disappointing because they still don't look properly cleaned. I asked for a skinny square shape, but the finished nails look much wider than what I requested. The acrylic also feels extremely thin, and overall I am just not happy with how my nails look or feel. There was also very little communication during the appointment other than being asked what color I wanted. I understand every nail technician has a different personality, but when you're paying for a service, communication about what you want and whether you're happy with the shape and nails makes a big difference. I also want to make it very clear that the price was NOT the issue. I was told the price, agreed to it, paid $95, and still left Nancy a $10 tip. I am willing to pay for quality work and good service. I didn't complain while I was there because I didn't want to make a big deal or make anyone uncomfortable, but after looking at my nails, I honestly regret not speaking up. For $105 total, I expected to leave loving my nails, and unfortunately I didn't. I really wanted to like my experience because the remodeled salon is beautiful, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the service I received.

He just has his gardening videos playing on YouTube in the background as he works and it gives me something to zone out to. He's fast and efficient. The place is no-frills so it's not super luxurious but I don't need a five-star experience and appreciate that the pricing reflects that. I don't have a ton of cash to spare as a single mom and hate that it costs a bundle to maintain my nails every few weeks and stretch it out as long as I can because I've always struggled to justify spending on self-care.
