It's in the same lot as the Bighorn Tavern so just about enough parking in the morning. I learned that there is a "drive by" service for hair coloring (regular colors I believe) where Alisia throws the color on, and you process and rinse off at home. Pretty creative thinking ! I went in for a hair trim and conditioning treatment, Alisia even showed me how I can replicate the service at home. I had my mom with me and she was very sweet with her, and carried a nice conversation. In addition, she gave me some helpful tips in hair care. Her seat is never empty it seems as she is very efficient in handling multiple clients with multiple services. It seems to be a friendly salon and I would strong consider returning for future services.

I have to admit my experience here is limited to one stylist, Alisia Moreno, and she is fantastic!…read moreBut I do also really like this salon because it is nice and bright and open, and fairly small - so it is never crazy busy and loud and overwhelming like so many salons can be. I followed Alisia here from A Little Zen which was also pretty small, so this was a relief for me. I am pretty sensitive to sensory inputs so some salons are just too much. I love the Nevada themed decor here and new(ish) window art. There's free Wifi, but I have never had to wait so I don't really use that (but I like the option). Everything is clean and the other stylists seem friendly and not pretentious, another big plus. It's just welcoming and down to earth. Most importantly, I love the haircuts I get for extremely reasonable prices ($35! for my short/medium hair). Yesterday I got my eyebrows tinted and waxed and Alisia did a fantastic job. I plan to have her do some color at some point, because I know she is a color genius. I also really love that I can book my appointments with Alisia online! https://square.site/book/LE2CPJAVF56YR/hair-by-alisia-salon-nv-reno-nv I know the salon also does nails and they have a whole lot of services I have not used but I suspect they'd be fantastic, based on my experiences there so far.

To be honest, I am not someone that usually care about getting my nails done and could last forever without ever getting my nails done. But I met Jessica while getting my hair done at Gossip Salon Studio, and to this day , because of Jessica I will continue to have that hour of me time to get my nails done. Any design I show her and she makes it happen. I was so used to going to any other salons for mainly acrylics but I learned about Gel X because of Jessica. Ever since getting Gel X , I am seriously so impressed with how strong Gel X actually is and the fact that it is not as damaging to my natural nails compared to acrylics. I now trust Jessica enough to be my main nail artist here in Reno/Sparks and I could not be any more happier.

I've been going to Katie for a couple years. I was referred by someone who had straightened my hair…read morepreviously and was out of the hair business. I trusted this referral and Katie did not disappoint. I don't have the curly hair, rather wavy and frizzy but it takes a punch to get it straight, she listened to what I wanted and took account of my hair needing a serious treatment. The results were fabulous. If you are looking for straightening I highly recommend Katie as she enjoys doing it and does a lot of them do she knows her stuff. Once I had my straightening I trusted her to cut my hair and I'm really picky about who cuts my hair because it doesn't lay right if it's not cut with expertise. I haven't gone to anyone else since I started coming to An Epic Salon. Then I started having Katie color my hair which wa big deal for me as I've only colored it a handful of times previously. So now Katie is my go-to straightening, cut and colorist. She's also good with kids and has cut (and colored) my son and daughter's hair. In fact she's doing cuts for both of them during my next color appt.
