I came in with already very blonde hair, with the exception of the top of my head where my previous…read morehighlights had grown out and my natural color was showing. My request was very straightforward: have the grown-out sections re-highlighted and brighten the rest of my hair so that the overall color was even more blonde and brighter. Unfortunately, I left the salon with brown hair. It honestly looks like she just made it go back to my natural hair color. I have never, ever left a salon with my hair darker than when I walked in, especially when I specifically asked for my hair to be brighter and more blonde. It's really frustrating spending $300 and then getting the exact opposite of what I was asking for. Especially since I will now have to spend even more in the LA area where I live to fix it.

I don't think anyone should have to pay for an absolute fail haircut. The guy who went wild on my…read morehead with scissors at this place chopped a massive screwed up patch out of the back of my head with no rhyme or reason. I gave him the cool picture of myself with normal hair on the right as a reference and he gave me the total fail haircut with a giant patch removed as if he was considering to do an experiment in brain surgery after the hair patch removal. I basically have to wear a hat for three months while it grows back. I'm not sure what kind of joke that is , but I'm too old for it. I'd say running with scissors is one thing but cutting hair high on PCP is a worse idea. That's fully screwed up without any kind of rebate.

Lex was my stylist today and to sum up: IT'S THE MAGIC OF THE PROFESSIONAL STYLIST!! I called…read moreyesterday and got in today for a cut and highlights. Amazing. Lex is meticulous which I really appreciate. Since I moved to Reno 6 years ago I have had some truly slam-bam-thank-you-mam 15 minute haircuts. I have thin fine hair and I know it can be done quickly but I love knowing a stylist is looking at my hair and treating me and hearing what I want. I SO wish I could post a pic of my new 'do but have not been able to take a pic that does not include my old fat face which is a not good recommendation for anyone. She did not make me look or feel like an old lady -thanks for that- but still gave me a great color and trim. If you are looking for color expertise and careful consultations and advice, THIS is the place.

I was there recently so I went to Yelp and started reading reviews. I wanted to see five star reviews. Who has all five star reviews? Corissa Welch does and I am here to give her another one! I am tired of the loud hair salons where eight stylists are talking over the din of blowdryers, client voices and always music I dislike. I leave those places exhausted. At The Reno Hair Company with Corissa you are in a comfortable, very private and well laid out space with her and only her. Its bliss. Sitting under her dryer while my highlights processed involves nestling into a cushy barrel back swivel armchair I never wanted to leave. The finished product, my flawless bronde-ish highlights are GORGEOUS! I tasked her with alot on our first visit not knowing my double process hair, and she NAILED it. The lady knows her stuff and has a bubbly personality. She's my girlie now. Go see her. Now.
