These ladies are fantastic! I see Kelli for haircuts and Janet for perms. My haircuts are great and usually take about 45-60 minutes depending on the style. I'm currently growing my hair long, I asked Kelli about what I could do with it. She suggested a perm. I was very hesitant as my last perm was in high school many eons ago. My hair was fried and I looked like bozo the clown for at least 6 months. Janet did such a wonderful job that my sister-in-law said I should have done it years ago. Great place for getting your hair and nails done. For hair - I highly recommend Kelli Bishop. She listens, is personable and cares. My mother and I both go to her. My mother's white curly hair looks fantastic for the first time in over 4 years. I also love what she has done with mine as well. The highlights are just what I asked for as well as the cut. Best of all Kelli is able to highlight and cut both of us in about an hour and half. For nails - I recommend Tamara Muckel. I used to get only French acrylic nails. Tamara has helped me get out of my comfort zone and have fun with my nails. They have become my jewels. Her pedicures are really nice as well. I have received the WORST haircut I have ever had in my entire life from Cindy Graham. Do not buy her Groupon for $30 (haircut, conditioning treatment, and style), because you will regretfully get what you paid for (the $30 NOT the $110 value). She started by washing my hair and carelessly spraying water all over my face, so right then and there I was completely dumbfounded of how unprofessional this experience already was. We then had a consultation about what kind of haircut I wanted done. I don't think I could have been anymore specific than I was and she completely ignored the fact that I only wanted 1.5 inches cut off. She took off about 5 inches!!! And the fact that she had me so low sitting in the chair where I couldn't even see into the mirror infuriates me. As soon as she was done and I ran my fingers through my hair I was in complete utter shock. She cut off all my long beautiful hair into a CHOPPY, UNEVEN MESS! Then I got my hair blow dried into my face and a style that couldn't even help improve the awful haircut. I am still in shock of how UNPLEASANT and UNPROFESSIONAL this experience was. She seemed to be in a very big hurry to get me in and out of her chair instead of treating me like a potential returning customer. Do not trust her "25+ year experience", because this woman shouldn't even have a license.....probably why she needs to bring in clientele with Groupon. If you're planning on saving a couple dollars you can forget about that, because you will be spending more on fixing her errors. read more

Maryann and the ladies inside Rhapsody Salon cater to a wide range of customers. My stylist, Kim Delong, and I have been friends for twenty years. She's been my stylist for six of those twenty. Kim is beyond efficient, sometimes TOO efficient for her own good. Her hours vary, at the same time, she'll take on two, sometimes three clients at a time, JUST to get things done. Kim is one of THE hardest working stylists in Northern Nevada. She's an MVP candidate for any salon. I'm glad she's here. Hair isn't the only thing done here. About every 10 weeks for over two years I've been driving 240 miles round trip from Sacramento to Reno for a haircut and blow dry - I AM THAT HAPPY !! And it's all because of Sally Arnold!! I enthusiastically and wholeheartedly recommend Sally Arnold as a hair stylist and I'm trilled with her work. When I first went to Sally she took the time to get to know me and to understand the way my hair grows (I have cow licks) along with the texture and fullness of my hair. We also discussed how I wash and care for my hair (as in - I don't do much and prefer to wash and go) and, most importantly, how I wanted my hair to look. Then she proceeded to give me the most absolutely perfect haircut ever ! So perfect that I don't care to look closer to home for another stylist because I'm so happy with Sally. An added bonus is that Sally is a delightful individual and it's obvious in how she handles a client (and their hair) that she's a skilled and experienced professional. Give her a try ! read more

I called her, the receptionist says she makes her own appts, so I called the number given to me to ask a couple of questions before purchasing WITH NO RESPONSE back. Then I started reading the YELP reviews. OK 1st of all CUSTOMER SERVICE comes first. I got a hairhack, oh, I mean haircut, from Cindy Graham. It was supposed to include a conditioning treatment, which never happened. While I was getting my haircut, she did not position the chair high enough so I could see in the mirror... Nor did she give me one to check the back of my hair at the end of my butchering. It's probably because she doesn't want people watching and she hacks off waaaay too much of their hair. I asked her for a half inch off. She butchered 2 inches off, and it is very uneven. It's clear she needs a ruler and glasses. Do not go here if you value your hair. I am going to have to have someone else cut it again just to even it out. read more

My family and I enjoy Rhapsody salon. From the day before the appointment when the receptionist calls to confirm the appointment, the greeting when you arrive, sitting down in the stylist chair all the way to the check out, the service is impeccable. Our stylist, Kim not only colors and styles my hair (beautifully I might add) but she also is fantastic at giving everyone in my VERY picky family exactly what they want. My youngest wants an athletic fade, oldest wants a long and shaggy "cool" cut and the husband wants something new with the season. She rolls with the wants and makes them happen! Cindy Dosh (not to be confused with the other Cindy on Yelp) has been doing my nails and bikini wax for decades. I am so dedicated that I've followed her all over town! The receptionist is extremely professional and I love the reminder calls the day before the appoint because frankly, I still would manage to forget if they didn't call me even though it is in my phone. Cindy's pedicures rival those of big cities for a fraction of the cost. She is not like some chop shop where they file the heck out of the callouses, cut your cuticles and skin and slap on cheap polish. She is methodical in her callous removal, takes time to cut the cuticles properly, and puts on a great polish. Those toes are glamorous for weeks! Did I mention the the foot massage, divine. While the ambiance is not like a spa, no sense in paying more than you have to just so you can have dim lights. Waxing - I used to live in the DC area and I could never get a bikini wax like Cindy does it. I like the hard wax method as strips are danger for me. She gets in, gets the job done and you are out, all while avoiding the typical fast freddy strip waxing. Do yourself a favor and experience the hard wax method, it is so much kinder to your body. read more

I was trying to book an appointment with Cindy Graham and she was UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL! She was in her car and her car door was binging the entire conversation. She asked me the length of my hair 4 times(obviously not paying attention to what I was saying). She continued to have issues with everything I brought up (a 2 inch cut... and I said screw the color because she made it sound like it was the end of the world). Then we tried to find a time to get the cut and she told me she was very busy with all her regular customers and suggested September... because of her "vacation" and her "large number of clients". So I finally said screw it and she HUNG UP on me! I would never go here! This is how they treat a potential client...disrespectfully, arrogant, and just flat out RUDE!!! read more

My sister and I have been coming to Sally Arnold, hair stylist (artist) for years and won't go anywhere else! Sally always cuts our hair perfectly. I have fine hair, while my sister was blessed with very lovely thick, hair that has a bit of natural curl. So, it doesn't matter what the type of hair one has; Sally can style it perfectly. After arriving at my scheduled appointment with Cindy Graham , I was informed from her that my appointment was an hour earlier . I have a text and v.m. Confirming this appointment (which I was correct) .Cindy was aware I was traveling 75 min. Cindy informed me that when I returned a week later that my service would be an additional $ 40.00 . Odd as I purchased the highest premium offer from Groupon . She asked if I was paying her or Groupon ? She stated I was to pay her directly when I was to reschedule the alleged original appointment .
