Yesterday was my first visit to Mural Salon and it was the best hair appointment I have had. They were able to get me in on short notice and the whole experience was so smooth and easy. This salon itself is nice but my haircut is awful. My hair stylist was very nice, but Amanda made my hair SO choppy and it looks nothing like the picture I asked for. I didn't notice it too much in the salon and it wasn't until I was home when I could really see how bad my hair is. The first picture is what I asked for, the second picture is what I got. Very choppy and very very uneven. My husband comes home from a deployment very soon and I'm extremely upset that I made the wrong decision and didn't go with a different salon. read more

Not friendly.... Got totally ignored for 20 minutes standing at the front desk by the door. Two hairstylist checked out there clients and turned there backs to me as if I was a ghost. It was sort of embarrassing since people were in the lobby. I get that they were busy and probably booked out but still I didn't receive a simple "hello". Ugh. It also didn't help that I was the only person of color there that wasn't receiving any communication so.... I'll just stick to them not have good customer service for potential clients. When you first get together, she likes to be on the conservative on cut n color til she gets to really know her customer and their hair. Shelly did an amazing job on my hair today! I've been hesitant to trust someone new with my hair after my friend, who has done it for over a decade, moved far away. I was referred to Mural by a friend, whose hair always looks incredible. Shelly did some lowlights and a 3-inch cut with long layers to break up my old summer ombre and add dimension while still leaving some of the lighter end effect. She worked with careful precision and was just genuinely lovely to chat with. Megan Griffin is an amazing esthetician! I got the eyelash boost, eyelash and eyebrow tint and also a Vitamin C peel and boy way it amazing! I have blonde hair so being able to see my eyelashes and eyebrows without makeup is weird at first but now I can't go back to blonde! The peel was great on my sensitive skin, there was zero irritation afterwards and my skin is glowing! And the brushed she used are sooooooo soft!!! After asking for her help finding a skin care brand she, she actually looked at my face and actually listened to the issues I was having and then, after research, introduced me to the amazing skin care brand that has changed my life! I have always had bad acne (cystic and hormonal), I even saw a dermatologist and tried thousands of different skin care brands with little to no results and instead of going on Acutain I tried the Sorella Apothecary and my skin has never looked better after only 3 weeks of using it! Most Stylists will say "It's a pair of shears, NOT a magic wand!" Lol. But in the hands of Cherie Meyer, those shears ARE A MAGIC WAND! I presented Cherie a unique challenge. Not only had I not cut my hair in a year and a half, I've had some significant hair loss on the crown of my head, mainly on the left side, from taking Xarelto. I showed Cherie a picture of what I wanted, soft subtle layers and almost all one length. Omg, she's AMAZING! I got all tingly when she washed my hair and scrubbed and massaged my scalp, I'm like BUTTAH!! And she really took her time listening to what I wanted, and then executed my hair cut beautifully. She took her time and made me look and feel beautiful! I really liked that she explained what she was doing and why. The whole salon is setup very nice, and they offer you a beverage when you walk in! My cut was $40 and worth EVERY penny! I made an appointment for December before I even left! I've always had a full head of thick, luxurious hair, so this hair loss is throwing me for a loop, but Cherie MADE IT WORK! I'm feelin' myself y'all! Cue the Beyonce!! Sheila was recommended to me and I was sooooo nervous. Why? Hadn't had a professional haircut in a LONG time. Long hair..you trim yourself? But time had caught up with me, and I needed a STYLE! She was so great and I LOVE my hair now. Gently layered and looks great without a blow dry. Wash and wear layered bob. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Really disappointing customer service. I arrived with my daughter to her appt right on time (according to my clock). The door was locked and the closed sign was already up. I tried calling, no answer. I sent multiple messages to find out what was going on (I had multiple confirmations via text). About an hour later I heard back from the person we had an appt with. She said there is a 5-10 minute late policy and so she left. I was there, waiting for half an hour. Not only did she blame me for the "miscommunication", the confirmations made no mention of the policy on being late. Incredible amount of attitude and very dismissive. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone - especially busy parents! I moved heaven and earth to get to this appointment on time (and did!) - and all she told me was "good luck." Obviously she is not concerned about getting new clients. Which is fine. If she can afford to close early, she doesn't need the work. Lesson learned! read more
