She's always in a good mood and makes getting my hair cut a fun experience. She gets me into her schedule at the drop of a hat, or a few weeks in advanced. All the other stylists at the salon are friendly. While you get your hair done, you can enjoy water, coffee and wine or a mimosa. While the space is a little cramped, I have no complaints about it. In fact, it makes it a friendly experience and I always look forward to coming back.

As a review reader I look for the ups and the downs. The reason I am giving such a low rating is simply put, I am not planning on returning to this salon and truly believe much better is out there for the service and the price. So the 2 star rating of "I've experienced better" holds very true. Making an appointment was easy enough, and the receptionist was bright and helpful. No complaints there. The salon is somewhat difficult to find, as it's tucked away in a corner and upstairs in a small shopping center. But parking is easy and the salon is clean if somewhat oddly laid out. My station was right by the door and practically on top of the waiting area, so much that when my stylist was cleaning up after me she brushed hair scraps onto the people sitting in the wait area. awkward and maybe gross for some people. It also doesn't appear to be accessible if you have difficulty with stairs. My stylist was very sweet but didn't seem very interested in giving me a great cut. She was interested to know how I heard about them and if I Yelp though. I love having long hair and I know it was long past time for a trim so I knew I would be sacrificing some inches, but the worst haircuts are when you lose a lot of precious length and don't get much of a style. I asked for long layers and to blend my growing out bangs into sideswept bangs and long layers. She did put some nice layering on the back, but literally did nothing to the front of my hair. (it needed some touching up badly since I'd been cutting the bangs myself). I waived the shampoo since it was 9am and I just showered less than an hour beforehand, no need to shampoo twice. I was charged $40 for what was basically a trim of ends, which left me feeling very flat. I usually pay $35 for shampoo, neck massage, cut, and blowout/style. I tried to convince myself I liked the cut for several days before admitting it sucked. I usually get a lot of bounce and movement with layered cuts and this hair was flat and lifeless. I love my old stylist but she's sometimes hard to get into. She is fabulous and that's probably why she's so busy. lesson learned!

I volunteered for a free service in exchange for modelling the style, but i would readily pay for a similar service in the future.
