Now that I've washed my hair I'm finding that in addition to all the problems I mentioned in my review posted the other day, there are issues with uneven cuts all over. I've been meaning to write this for a while... but Dallas Scurry is a hair master!! The salon is very chic and the staff is helpful and friendly. They offer reminder texts and are super helpful if you need to make adjustments to your appointment. Everything is super clean too!! Dallas understands when you literally want to trim "just the ends", but she will also give you an honest opinion if you want to know how light, how much is dead, how to fix bad color and timelines to do so. Recently, Dallas recommended a Brazilian Blowout, which is quite pricey. I can understand why someone might be skeptical, and if you are like me (course, frizzy, thick, curly) then you have come to terms with the fact that "unmanageable" is just a way of life. None the less, I put my faith in Dallas... and three hours later... I'm a beach wave goddess!!! No frizz, calmer curls, shine and smooth. I'm usually a bit intimidated trying a new salon but everyone here was so friendly when I walked in. Jenny offered drinks (water, soda, tea & coffee - probably more options too) right away as well as throughout my session. Had my hair dyed, cut & styled which took about 3 1/2 hours but was totally worth the time & $. Katie did such a great job translating my inspiration pics into a cut that worked best for my thin hair. And she gave me lessons along the way on how to best care for and style it moving forward. Very cute salon, I love the atmosphere. They were able to fit me in quickly, which given the pandemic, I was pleasantly surprised. They had the chairs spaced out and everyone was wearing masks. Jenny (I believe her name is), the receptionist, was very polite and helpful; she gave me a delicious chai latte. My stylist was India, she did an exceptional job on my hair. Alyssa is a truly awesome stylist! I came in for a pretty simple cut and didn't want too much taken off/done to my hair knowing that it would probably look pretty much the same when I was done. I have been going to Hannah for about 6 years until I moved away - and I still book an appointment with her every time I come home! Hannah is extremely talented with both color and styling - she can do basically anything whether it is beautiful natural blonde highlights or an amazing, intricate braided updo. Hannah is flexible and is always able to fit me into her schedule. She spends time at the beginning of each appointment going over all of your preferences and making sure that she really understands what you want your hair to look like. You are never rushed with Hannah and she will spend as much time as necessary to make sure you are completely happy with the way you look. As for the salon - Sage is a really pretty salon; it's immaculately clean and has cute decorations. The ambiance is relaxing - it has very nice, natural colors and all of the equipment is top of the line. The prices are definitely reasonable! You are also offered a selection of wine, beer, sodas, juices, etc. Highly recommend booking an appointment with Hannah and going in to Sage, having a glass of wine, and having Hannah work her magic on your hair! read more

The studio itself is the perfect combination of rustic & chic. They have a sweet little beverage and snack bar that you can help yourself to while you wait. That said, the wait is never very long, which is one of the reasons I love this studio. They seem to really be on top of their scheduling and have even called me to let me know when there is an earlier opening due to cancelation with my hair stylist Lindsey. I found Lindsey through a Groupon years ago when she was at another salon in town. I fell in love with her work and followed her to Sage Hair Studios. I have extremely thick, straight hair and a lot of it! It can get bulky and heavy and lacking life. Other stylists in the past would get overwhelmed with the amount of hair I had, and I always left feeling like they gave up half way through a cut, up until I found Lindsey. She always leaves my hair feeling voluminous, manageable, and so healthy & soft. She is simply the best! read more

I've gone through hair people like I've gone through bad fashion trends. Katie is definitely a keeper. I've referred a ton of people to her over the years who have all been impressed. It's hard to find someone who can make a redhead look like a natural blonde, and when you find that person you keep them. Katie's new salon is adorable, and has ample parking. I wish she'd come over and decorate my house to look just like the salon. I just called in to see if anyone there does keratin treatments. They do!! I asked if any of them work regularly with keratin on ethnic hair. They were WONDERFUL!!! Instead of saying yes when they don't have a ton of experience with Black hair, they asked around the salon for a good recommendation for me and referred me to another salon. Awful service! I arrived on time for my appointment. 2 stylists were working at the station and a third person was helping someone wrap up their appointment. I sat there for about 15 minutes and nobody said a word to me. That's ok. Not a problem. I understand people were busy. But once the woman at the front desk and customer finish payment the woman proceeded to work on the stereo system. It wasn't until she was finished setting up the speakers that I spoke up and told her that I had an appointment at 4pm. The woman looks at their appointment book then told me my appointment was canceled because I didn't confirm it. I told her that I confirmed my appointment over the phone. She repeated herself and said it was canceled because I didn't confirm it. She said the salon tried to text me and Dallas, the stylist who was supposed to work on my hair, texted me too but I didn't respond. I told the woman I didn't receive any text messages. So she worked on her iPad and brought up a number that looks similar to mine then asks me if that was my cell number. Nope! It wasn't! The area code was wrong. She blamed me for not being responsive and didn't apologize for blaming me. She simply said they have the wrong number. The she said she let Dallas go home early and was willing to call Dallas to come in if it was ok for me to wait. At first I was open to the idea but when she couldn't give me an estimate of the wait time (forgot to tell you that I left work early for this appointment) I decided to reschedule because I had to go back to work. I asked the woman who ignored me (since she wasn't working with a client and didn't even acknowledge me when I entered the salon or acknowledge me before she started working on the speakers) why didn't someone tell me when I entered the salon she explained that she needed to repair the speakers and the regular receptionist was gone. So it appears based on this conversation that music in the salon is more important than acknowledging a customer. I can't believe music is more important than saying hello to someone let alone earn money. This was an awful experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more
