Went to Meko based on her yelp reviews. My hair was dry and needed some hep. She recommended a product that would help until my appointment. I knew this was going to be a process and was told it would take about 3 times. I was very nervous as finding a hairdresser after moving has been a little frustrating. The pictures you are seeing are a day after my 3rd visit. It was horrible..... she has excuse after excuse and I was confident she knew color. Pictures show I was wrong.... Lastly, she overbooked herself and I had to choose if I wanted a trim or my hair to be dried and styled. This still cost me the same price of $180..... read more

Having recently moved from outside of SF to Reno, NV, one of the 38 items I needed to address was tending to my hair - since cutting my hair in the mirror wasn't working out so well. Believe me, it's much harder than it sounds! Earlier in the day, knowing I was going to get my haircut, I performed a thorough and painstaking analysis of all those salons located relatively close to my home. After careful consideration, I decided to rank all those salons by just two criterion. And, since both were extremely important, I gave each a weighting of 50% towards the final result. I first ranked each hair salon by their Yelp review. Then, my next screen was each salons distance or proximity to the Office Depot (where i needed to pick up several items immediately prior). Needless to say, TRIBE was the winner. I walked in - knowing the odds of finding just one stylist available were not in my favor! I was fortunate enough to be there at the exact time Meko was available. I believe she was relaxing after working a full day - ready to drive home when I walked in. She happily agreed to cut my hair. Knowing what real customer satisfaction is, Meko ended up spending 90 minutes with me! She wanted to make sure what I truly wanted is what I got. She was 100% focused on making sure I walked out of there a happy man. I must say, after she finished I wasn't happy. I was ecstatic, as the final result was better than I had imagined. Much, much better! I walked out of there with an amazing haircut, perfect blending, wonderful conversation - all at a very competitive price. I would recommend Meko without any hesitation whatsoever. I actually booked my next appointment in the salon - without any coaxing from her. I'm truly looking forward to having Meko cut my hair - hopefully for as long as she'll put up with me. PS. I need to say, the 'vibe' or ambience in this place was fantastic. The owner and her son dropped by for a bit - both very nice people. The stylist next to Meko, Darlene was a joy as well.
