First time here and I came in for an acrylic fill. I've had my nails done for years and had many fills but Ming was very rough removing two lifted nails with nail cutters. When I expressed pain, she wasn't happy and basically told me to deal with it if I wanted them removed. Her demeanor was not to my liking and I will request someone else next time. Cleanliness and presentation. All the nail polish samples are covered with clear packaging tape a long time ago and now just looks filthy and you cannot see what the finished product will look like. i had my nail (hot gel fill) done on New Years Eve 12/31/25 by Victoria. It was my first time at this business and was a walk-in. She told me wait for 10 minutes and didn't start my nails for 25 minutes later. I was concerned as she uses the drummel continuously on the nail bed and when painting my nail, it was so thick, not smooth and not even meeting the cutical. I was not pleased with how they looked but paid $74.83 and within 5 days the color chipped on several nails. I went in to show her and asked for a refund. She would not talk to me. I asked for a Manager and she said she was out of the country. Beware, this was the worst i have ever experienced! read more

Received a great pedicure here this weekend. Called in the afternoon on Sunday and they were able to get us in right away, which I loved! We got the paraffin wax pedicure and it was perfect, the massage & hot stones were exactly what my feet and legs have been needing. The environment was very clean - i love that they use the one time use bowl linings, both our pedicurists were friendly, though they didn't talk much. The massage chair was comfortable too! There were a ton of color options which is always fun! Overall a great experience here and we will definitely be back. read more

I was going here for a few months for acrylic fills. My nails always looked really nice and lasted weeks, which is saying a lot because I work a manual labor job. Never had any lifting, chipping, etc. However, I finally decided to take my nails off and WOW were they difficult to remove. Several 100% acetone soaks barely made a dent, even after I'd filed away a good bit of the nail. The nails were gooey and sticky as well, which is a telltale sign of MMA... For those who don't know, MMA is an illegal type of acrylic monomer commonly used in chop shops. I also had horrendous fill lines (see photo). They stretch all the way up my nail as I've been getting fills for months. After some research it appears these are called "rings of fire" and are caused by the nail tech over filing your nail. They are red and very deep in my nail. I'm disappointed because my natural nails are irreparably damaged from improper acrylic application and all I can do now is wait for them to grow past the damage. I've tried a lot of different nail salons in Reno and time and time again I am seeing salons value money and speediness over concern for the health of your natural nails. Ladies, just stop going to salons like this and find an independent tech. I can't speak to party nails' other services. This was just my personal experience with acrylic fills. read more

Well... this place honestly could have been better. The people were nice and what not. But the nail job wasn't the best, it took 25 minutes to wait just to start. I had to leave in a bit but they didn't take there time and I had to come out of the salon with polish still drying on my toes, also they sort of scammed us and said that the gel was $40, but we got there and got normal polish and they told us the gel was $60. I called and I went back to get it fixed free of charge. Once again the next day i'm missing polish and some are chipped. I will not be coming back. My only complaint is that sometimes when I make an appointment ahead of time (they do accept walk-ins), they don't have my appointment on the books and I have to wait. I tried looking up nail salons on Yelp prior to deciding on which one to go to, but many places have mixed reviews. I ended up going with Party Nails because it is close to where I live and I had a friend recommend it to me a while back! I called ahead to see if they had any available appointments for the day (this was on a Monday). They asked if I wanted to come right now or at a later time, so I ended up making an appointment that would start in about 20 minutes from the time of my call. It was so nice to walk in and be taken care of promptly without a wait. I did the classic pedicure ($35) but also added the paraffin wax treatment and hot stones which made my total $45 before tip. The nail technician did a good job on everything including the polish, I have no complaints about her work! The temperature inside the salon was very warm, but that's probably because we are transitioning to fall where it is cool in the mornings and close to 90 degrees by the afternoon. I was there right around 11am as the weather was changing. The only other thing was that the nail technician asked me to turn off the massage feature on my chair while she did my nails. I've never had someone ask me that before, so I thought that was a bit odd...but understandable that she wanted to make sure she had a steady hand while painting. I had plans to go indoor rock climbing with my husband later in the day around 5pm and was nervous about how my nails would do in tight climbing shoes. After climbing hard for an hour, my nails still looked perfect (even with normal polish, not gel)! This was overall a great experience and will be the place I return to next time I want a manicure or pedicure. read more

I've gone for 6 years and am always satisfied with the environment, quality, etc. I had Emily Wong today and she was super condescending. I asked for longer nails and she said no and that it wouldn't look good. Kept making me feel bad for having short nails to begin with. Assumed the color I wanted so then I asked for a different chrome and said the one I picked would not look good and said something under her breathe. My nails are all curved differently (thumb picture doesn't even do the hill on my nail justice). She didn't paint my entire nails, there's already chips in the chrome and it hasn't even been a day. When she did my nails, the acrylic was so liquidy that it dripped off my nail like water. I love this salon but going forward will ask to not have Emily Wong. read more

I went to this salon a handful of times for pedicures and it was just an okay experience. For the price of a jelly pedicure, I expected a little better service. It's very basic, and they don't massage your legs or feet at all. No frills here. The staff are all very friendly though, and it's in a great location. There were times where I had an appointment, but they asked me to come back in an hour or two because they overbooked. They also have a punch card, and one time the owner asked me who punched my card the first time because he doesn't have anyone that worked there with that name. But I just told him that I'm not sure, but whoever she was gave me that card and she punched it and signed it at the time of payment. read more

I called to see if I could get in for a pedicure on a Saturday and she told me come on over they could see me if I could get over there right away which I did. I was greeted immediately and take him to the chair by a very pleasant gentleman named John. I was trying to match a color on my hands and they matched up perfectly. We called same day to get 3 pedicures done simultaneously and the staff graciously got us in around 5:30 the same night. This place works like a well oiled machine. After a short wait we were all seated and they proceeded to work on us individually in succession. We were all three finished with our luxury treatments and hour and a half later while they continued to take care of the rest of the busy salon. It was actually amazing to see the way they worked. They switched with ease from customer to customer, all while maintaining a positive attitude and cleanliness standards. My feet were fairly dry and my technician got most of the dead skin off with ease while retaining the integrity of my feet. My toes looked beautiful after he was done and you couldn't even tell that I have a damaged toenail. My only quip is that when they gave us the color wheel to choose from they didn't mention which colors were/were not gel so we all chose gel polish for our toes which cost $15 extra. I would have chosen the gel polish regardless because it lasts so much longer, but I just wish they would have made the choice clear to us. Overall it was a great pedicure, all of the staff was fun and friendly, and my feet look and feel great. However, I'm not sure the luxury pedi was worth all the extra money, next time I think I'll stick with something a bit more basic and save some money. read more

I really like party nails. The nail techs here are knowledgeable and I appreciate their suggestions. Most places I go won't help me choose a color. Here they actually give me good advice - like a lighter lavender on my fingers and a darker lavender for my toes. It's a little pricey - but I appreciate their work and don't mind paying a bit more to be happy with my service. The delux pedi comes with a glass of wine which I always do - delux with gel is $80. But they exfoliate my legs and take time to make sure my pedicure is done well. I get embarrassed because of my summer feet (I'm a barefoot girl) and they always make me feel ok about it. read more
