I requested the aroma therapy message for 80 minutes and it was not what I expected. When I made the reservation the man on the phone said to come early to choose my aroma during the massage. Never happened even after I asked. The massage itself was not that great. The lady doing my massage talked the entire time rather than being quiet to allow me the chance to unwind. Very disappointing. I could feel her spitting on me as she spoke words. It was not pleasant. I will not be going back to this spa. I hope for a better experience to those who make a reservation. Update: Ryan messaged me saying he hopes I come back to give them another chance for a 5 star rating. Well I will not be back for another massage. Not after Karissa was spitting on my back and talking the entire time. When someone spends $200 on a massage they don't want to talk. I stayed at the Silver Legacy for the first time last September 2025. My husband was in a golf tournament that was held on a Monday and Tuesday. I was so excited for two amazing spa days. I couldn't find a way to pre-book or find what services they offered. Imagine my surprise when we arrived on Sunday morning and I immediately called the spa to book several services just to be told that they are closed on Monday's and Tuesdays ( I see that they are also closed on Wednesday now) I was so letdown and disappointed. I was told that they had a late afternoon appointment available for a massage that day so I took it. The staff that I came into contact with were are all very nice. The massage was just Ok and I wasn't able to use any of the amenities like sauna etc because they were closing. Friends of ours were staying at the pepper mill and I was able to book two days over there with no problem. Their spa is absolutely amazing. We are coming back at the end of the month ( Sunday - Wednesday) and I'll be going to The Peppermill for my spa days. It's unfortunate that even in peak season the Silver Legacy Spa is closed 3 out of 7 days. read more

No one warned us that we might be turned away. When we arrived at 10:20 AM - well before peak hours - the blonde woman at the spa check‑in desk was immediately rude and dismissive. She told us they weren't accepting any more people that day. Here's the frustrating part: she did offer to sell us a massage package - but when we said we just wanted two simple day passes (we're a couple from out of town, staying at the El Dorado property on The Row), she refused. No day passes, no flexibility, no help. Then her co-worker, Oscar Garcia, walked up and coldly added: "We will NOT be accepting any more day passes today." No warmth, no attempt to find a solution - just a final, dismissive shutdown. We felt judged - like we didn't belong unless we were spending big money on a massage. We let them know we traveled from out of town and were staying nearby, and they simply didn't care. No hospitality, no accommodation, no basic customer service. At 10:20 AM, being turned away so rudely felt personal and unnecessary. We left feeling let down, unwanted, and disrespected. If you're staying at any property on The Row (including Circus Circus, El Dorado or Silver Legacy), don't expect kindness or flexibility from this Spa! read more

I had an excellent spa experience! The facility is beautiful with every amenity you could wish for plus plenty of areas to just relax and decompress. In addition, the facility is very clean and well maintained. My massage was a unique experience, one of the best I've ever had. The room has a large tub all set up for a soak plus champagne! I've never had a soak prior to a massage. It really makes a difference. I feel very fortunate to have had Nick as my massage therapist! It's obvious that he loves his work. I had a great experience at Silver Lake Spa! From the moment I walked in, everything felt welcoming and relaxing. The reception area was clean and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful while giving me a tour of the facility. I really appreciated how well they designed the spa area. Even though the hot tub is located near the pool, they do an amazing job keeping the spaces feeling separate and peaceful--you can truly relax without being distracted by the pool activity. The amenities were fantastic, including the hot tub, salt room, steam room, sauna, and plenty of comfortable areas to rest and unwind. This was the WORST hotel and spa experience of my life and I've been to many spas all over the country. I chose this hotel because it has a pool which was really the only amenity that my 4 year old could use. He loves to swim. I had booked a cabana for my family and I, as well as a massage for myself at the spa afterwards. I was told that the cabana rental was $125 from 9am-1:30pm. Turns out it was actually $150 and we were misinformed several times. Not a big deal. We showed up at 9am, and were informed that the pool area was still closed because it was being "cleaned". It was a holiday weekend there had been hundreds of people in and out of the pool the day before. Since we had a view of the pool area from our room, we saw that nobody showed up to clean it and this was concerning. When they finally let us in the pool area, nobody had cleaned the actual pool and the water was murky and disgusting. It turned out that they WERE NOT actually going to clean the pool and we would have surely gotten sick if we tried to use it. Major health code violation and completely unacceptable. Since our stay was ruined for my 4 year old, I spoke to a manager named Mikayla about checking out early and wanted to cancel the rest of my stay. Mikayla did not even make eye contact with me, apologize, or stop what she was doing on her computer. She just said that the spa was in charge of the pool and that I needed to speak with them in order to cancel. Despite everything that just happened, Samantha and Kyler at the spa still wouldn't cancel my appointment without a 50% charge since we were checking out early due to their mistake. We asked to speak to the manager Terry but she wouldn't speak to us. When I said this wasn't fair because the hotel couldn't accommodate for the only amenity that I stayed there for, she had us trespassed by security off the premises. Mind you my 4 year old son was with us while this happened and they showed zero care or concern. Samantha and Kyler acted incredibly hostile towards us with another employee whose name I didn't get, accused us of getting loud when we did no such thing. They literally had us trespassed because they couldn't own up to not doing their job and couldn't handle being called out on it. Unfortunately, I live across the country. But my grandma, who is a local Reno resident & just lost her husband, can use the service under my name! Received a great 80min prenatal massage from Carissa. I was happy to see they had a pillow for my 6month belly, so I could lay on my stomach! Unfortunately, they did not provide me with any facial - as listed in the description! Which would've been lovely! I had a great mani/pedi with Lyssa - so great I've booked another one for when I return to Reno in a month! I waited in the main spa lounge upon arrival. It's a beautiful, contemporary area with unique furniture and access to the spa-only hot tubs. There were also refreshments - fruit, protein snacks and bottled water. The salon is intimate, extremely clean, and modern. Everyone was very friendly in the salon and Lyssa is a good conversationalist. She gave me my first mani/pedi since pre-COVID times, so I was long overdue! I was so relaxed during my pedicure, when Lyssa left me while I had a paraffin treatment, I fell asleep! I look forward to returning to the spa for massage therapy and other treatments. Only complaint: As of October the spa was not offering sparkling wine with services (even for purchase) which is a bummer, given that they used to do so even in mid-2020. read more

I didn't have an appointment but after going to the gym I asked if I could check out the amenities for future use. After visiting multiple resort spas, Silver Legacy's looks quite spacey with lots of different amenities and co Ed areas that some spas don't have. For a Saturday morning in October they didn't seem busy and you can access the out door pool. They also have snacks too! The staff seemed super friendly. I saw the price list and it's around the same price compared to other resorts like a little over $100 for a 50 minute massage. I definitely want to book one if I return in the future. read more

I went here to get my hair done. The color I wanted wasn't available, but the technician Malou went out of her way to make it right. She combined four different colors to get the desired effect. She spent two and a half hours working with my hair to ensure that the color saturated my hair completely. When she was finished, she took extra care to wash and condition my hair and added a heat protectant spray to protect the color. When she was finished she took the time to curl my hair. While we were waiting for the color to set, she went and got us champagne, fruit and nuts. My husband and I enjoyed the little refreshments while she took her time drying and styling my hair. When she finished she did light hairspray to help keep the curl. The over all vibe was comfortable and welcoming. I am disabled and Malou went out of her way to accommodate me. read more

My friend and I came in for massages between Christmas and New Years. I know they just renovated the spa and I had seen some posts about it from local influencers. I got a 60-minute Swedish massage, and the service itself was awesome. The Masseuse listened to what I wanted out of the massage and provide a customized service. As a local, I got a complimentary glass of champagne after my service and an aromatherapy upgrade during my massage. Now, as far as I've heard, the offerings in terms of saunas, pools, etc. are not as extensive as at the Atlantis or Peppermill, but this spa is really nice! There's plenty of places to relax and their outdoor pool and spa space were under construction, but I imagine it will be very nice once it's done. The women's locker room was stunning, the robes were very comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing day there. read more

I told my masseuse (Nick - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) that my sciatica has been bothering me and before the massage, so he did some pressure points and stretches. It was completely perfect- hit the nail on the head. 2. I did a "Fiery Stone Massage". Never heard of it before but I will do it anytime I see it now! It's hot stones and frozen marble stones at the same time. He had one in each hand - INCREDIBLE! It is apparently really good for your muscles but it also just felt incredible! 3. Silver Legacy recently remodeled their old Spa, they tore down the whole 4th floor and rebuilt a brand new Spa/Salon. My experience was 3.5 stars. I give them 4 because I think they are "TO EARLY TO REVIEW." After a long week of midterms at school, I decided to treat myself with a facial, a hairdo and a day at the spa. I made the reservations online which I found very convenient. They had an opening for Friday, so I took it. The appointment was at 1 pm I arrived at 12 so that I could enjoy the amenities of the Spa. When I arrived Mimi, a girl on the front desk, gave me a tour of the place. The Place: Really nice facilities, everything is brand new. Women locker room has a sauna and a steam room. The steam room was very pretty; it was all made with tiny bathroom tiles. Lockers and bathroom area looked good. They have a pink Himalayan salt chamber that helps your sinuses and stuffy nose. I personally think their "Relaxation area" is too bright. All the reflexion from the pool area was getting in the room. I was very disappointed after the tour when I learned the pool and jacuzzi were not open yet. I think the staff should disclose the customers before arrival. I never received a call telling me the pool or jacuzzi were not working. They did not give me a choice. I could easily go somewhere else. The Food: Since there was no pool, I worried there was no food. I asked Mimi, and she showed me the menu. The menu is small, and honestly, nothing seemed yummy. I went ahead an order a tuna salad, and a champagne glass. The tuna was OK, the lettuce and tomatoes had no dressing! It was a dry salad, and the tomatoes had a bad aftertaste. So I only ate the tuna. The Service: I was ready to give this place a one star after Summer, my skin specialist, came to get me at the waiting area. She took me to the treatment room and gave me one of the best facials I have ever had! My skin felt like silk right after the treatment. She cleaned my pores and extracted impurities. The products are settled, they don't have a strong smell, and they don't pitch or feel weird. After my awesome facial, I had my hairdo. The salon was good. I'm very picky about my hair. I only let 2 ladies in Reno touch my hair. The products in the salon were cheap. The result was ok, but I don't think I'll get my hair done there again. Overall, I'm on those situations where I don't know what to rate. I would say 3.5 stars- to the Spa facility and staff service 5 stars- to Summer and the amazing facial 2 Stars- to the dry tuna salad. Avg: 3.5 read more

We planned my sister's bachelorette weekend at the Silver Legacy spa months in advance and our experience the day of was awful every step of the way. They made a mistake about our reservation and, while they accommodated a change without charging us, they treated us badly for the rest of our stay. They refused a female therapist for one member of our party who was a sexual assault survivor. Two of the four spa facilities (the hot tub and the sauna) were out of order. We found ourselves mostly sitting around and wondering what to do since nothing worked out. The staff was extremely rude, combative, and unprofessional whenever we tried to raise our concerns. The staff is also just loud, making it hard to relax. There are a lot of great spas in the Reno area. This is not one of them. UPDATE: There is a response to my review by the spa saying they're interested in speaking to me. They aren't. My sister who made the reservation contacted the manager to raise her complaints. They blew her off. (Again.) Seriously. Don't go to this spa. read more

Malou is the BEST for cut and color! She did such an amazing balayage! I have long, dark, and thick hair and she worked honey-caramelized miracles! Went above and beyond my limited expectations! Worth it! The staff in general were friendly, thorough, and overall super chill! The entire facility was well kept and clean and fulfilled all COVID protocols. I am not one to come back to the same salon twice, but if ALL their stylists are as diligent and skilled as Malou and honest to God loves what they do with a passion? I made a facial reservation an hour before I went for an appointment. The women that I called to was so sweet and told me everything I needed to know and do prior to coming in. She even suggested I come the minute we hung up the phone to take advantage for the amenities they had inside. I absolutely love this spa! Upon arrival, I was helped right away by Jose and Heidi, they had be sign a paper and took me in right away. Kristina gave me tour of the whole place. She was extremely knowledgeable of everything inside, offered drinks and snacks. She even made easy conversation with me! I hope to run into her again the next time I come here! Maura is the esthetician who gave me my customized deep cleansing facial. Very sweet and soft spoken. She first asked me what I really wanted out of the facial and I said "little bit of everything" and girl, did she deliver! She talked me through the whole process and everything she did and put on my face. Two thumbs up for her and I hope to have her again. After my treatment, Kristina encouraged me to use all the amenities. I spent at least 15 mins in each one. The pink Himalayan rock salt room was so peaceful! I loved the room where you can lay down and there was a lavender infused neck pillow and blanket that was excellent. You can also sit in a hanging egg-- kinda like a hammock. Sauna was a lot smaller than I've been to before but it was great! I loved the steam room, that was my favorite, I almost fell asleep!! (Beware: when it's time to restem the room it makes this loud annoying sound for about 2 minutes). Overall, I highly suggest you come here! I came here solely for an over due- much needed mommy time! Initial impressions: why does the spa not open until 9am on a Saturday - no spa fee for El Dorado guest thank you I was expecting to pay $25 - no tour for me probably because I did not book 4 services at about $525+ until after I visited the steam room - I wish there was like an iPad or kiosk so I could see what services were available when like when I purchase a movie ticket at a theater. The lockers are nice. I like the locking system. Robe was a bit small, flip flops ok. Showers pretty good although the pressure and temperature were adequate I would have liked a bit more flexibility in the overhead. Plenty of room in the shower. Conditioner was about gone. Sadly the jacuzzi was closed I really needed it! Steam room and sauna are nice but not too hot. TV area small. Attendants were ok. Nice, big, but bright waiting areas, limited snacks, drinks, free or on the menu. The himalayian salt room did not seem to add much value. Facial was above average, black heads removed without pain. A customer missed and was charged but that allowed me to get a derp tissue massage, great room, massage could have been deeper. Pedicure was pretty good, could have used a couple minutes massaging my calves. Reflexology was pretty good but again could have been deeper. Check out was easy but I don't like that they include a tip because I would rather customize and allocate based on my customer experience. No openings for a haircut, stylist had to take over as manager but this is a temporary situation. Music was nice. read more

I booked the hot stone massage for Saturday 1/26/19. Adrian was my masseuse and couldn't have been better. The massage was amazing and I never felt uncomfortable. He took my lead when I started asking him questions and we talked the entire time. Very very enjoyable. Yes, they automatically added a 20% tip but I was told and asked if this was acceptable.
