Wow! First time at this spa and it was fantastic. We could see why it gets such rave reviews and accolades from Forbes. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had massages and spent the day utilizing the amenities. The locker rooms are clean and always stocked with towels. The locker room attendant was constantly in there restocking, cleaning, etc. Plenty of digital lock lockers, bathroom area, showers, steam room, sauna, private changing area (if needed), they offer body scrubs that you can take into the showers, vanity areas, lounge area with flavored water, coffee, tea, bottle waters, and snacks. This lounge area is also where the massage staff come to pick you up for your appt. Once you leave the locker rooms they have so many coed areas for you to access. Himalayan salt room that is pretty big. Cushioned loungers and heated bench areas with lighting that changes. Very quiet and relaxing. The Laconian relaxation room is a bit smaller. This is a gentle dry heat room set to 104 typically used to reduce stress, detoxify and purify. Seated bench areas inside are heated and there are some small ottomans to put your feet up. There's a beautifully well lit area due to all the windows that has two hot tubs, shower area, and cold plunge. Seating in this area is a bit limited when crowded. Decent number of loungers and some chairs, but it can get busy. Additionally you can access the fitness center and pool areas. The pool areas are nice and you can order food from the menu to be brought out. Please note it's not a private pool for just the spa. The pool areas (inside and outside) are accessible to hotel guests so you could have kids being kids. The massage room was clean and relaxing. The massage staff we had were very professional and excellent. We loved our couples massage. I added on dry brushing and a coconut oil scalp treatment...unbelievable. My massage staff, Marlina, is excellent. The lobby/check-in area is nice and clean with plenty of products to purchase. Check-in and check-out were very easy. My mom and I like to do a spa day around Christmas time and we usually go to Spa Toscana at Peppermill but this time we decided to try the Atlantis Spa and overall it was a good experience but we prefer Spa Toscana more as it is more of a relaxing atmosphere with less screaming children. We both got 60min Swedish massages and a scalp massage add on. The massages were great, no complaints there! We like to go early to enjoy the amenities and we enjoyed the hot tub area which was only for 21+ but the rest of the pool/hot tub areas were extremely loud with children. It was not at all a relaxing atmosphere with the screaming kids and getting splashed by them doing cannonballs into the pool. The locker area, salt and relaxing room were not as nice as Spa Toscana either. They also do not accept Spa Finder gift cards which is what we usually use for our spa trips as well. Coming to this spa is such a special treat! I don't feel like the actual massages or other services are any more special, despite the crazy price tag, but the amenities and being able to enjoy the whole place for the day makes it worth the splurge. I recently hosted my friend's bachelorette party here and it was simple and such a nice day. Pro tip- bring desserts or a beverage and plastic cups to enjoy on the pool deck, or you can order 'room service' to the pool deck as well. Schedule an afternoon or evening service, arrive in the morning to enjoy the amenities all day, and then head home after your service so you don't wash off all the good oils in the hot tub or sauna or steam room. read more

The spa at Atlantis is one of two full spa experiences in Reno, them and the Peppermill. The prices here are slightly higher but you get the indoor/outdoor pool so it justifies the higher price. The massages are great and I added on a wrap and floatless tank experience and it ended up just being a weird experience. The massage was fantastic as normal but the procedure to get me in the tank was interesting at best. Once you "redress " into the towel you just kinda get laid in there and hang out for like 15 mins while the massage therapist watches you and then get asked to get out. I'll just opt for a massage next time. The main reason for the low rating is the food options at the pool. Cheap bar food at best and no good vegetarian/vegan options. read more

Entry to use the facilities are included in the massage fee so arrive early to enjoy everything -- cold plunge, hot tubs, cold cucumbers for under your eyes, salt room, sauna, body scrubs for the shower, robes, and lots more!! I've been going to the spa regularly since 2017. It's a solid three stars. I love all the added amenities, and I think only one time I received a service that was subpar- every other time has been a great service and totally worth the fee! I will say, however, this is not a relaxing kind of spa . When I say people are loud, I mean people are LOUD. In fact, there's a little waiting room that you go and sit in before you called back for your service, and I was reading in there about 20 minutes before my service was due, and somebody that was actually working at the spa - not a guest - came in to refresh the pretzels and trail mix, waters and fruit all while literally slamming stuff around. I even saw her kick the cabinet door shut.. kicked it. Not a gentle bump, but a full on kick with her foot slamming the door so loud. I definitely prefer Peppermill if I'm going alone so I can actually truly relax. But if I'm going with a group, this place would be the best place in Reno because you can be as loud as you want. I love that they offer her body scrubs in the locker room rooms. My favorite tip and trick to recommend people is to bring a hair mask and put it in your hair and sit in the steam room! The humidity helps the hair mask sink into your hair better. Sometimes the weight staff around the pool will bully you into tipping on top of gratuity that's already added . And just please hold your ground and tip what they're worth. (and this is coming from a current server that has been serving for 20 years.). Multiple times now I've had them drop off my drink and a check to sign and they point out the tip line.. a few of them, actually huffing and puffing when I draw a line through it. Gratuity is enough considering it takes 20+ minutes to receive your drinks. I really wish the staff was better about clearing off unused chairs .. There is a little relaxing nap room that you are led to after your service, but almost always the chairs/bed chairs are a jumbled used mess with nobody in them. So all in all, I would recommend this place if you're going with a big group. Or even just a friend that you'd like to talk full volume with. But if you're wanting more of a relaxing, quiet experience, I would highly recommend Peppermill over Atlantis. read more

Went on my first spa day as a girls day with my bestie. This being my first experience, I didn't have much to compare to but I was impressed! There were some snacks and water located throughout the spa to snack on and keep hydrated which was nice. The spa was clean and had many amenities including pools, hot tubs, cold plunge, saunas, and showers. The bathroom is filled with shampoos and conditioners and lotions, as well as heat tools. There isn't much you have to bring with you which is nice. You are able to leave and come back so we did to get lunch. It was relatively quiet and calm. The pool outside was so warm which was awesome. They had an accessible chair to help someone on a wheelchair get into the pool which was amazing to see. I will be back! read more

This review would be a five, but just a heads up the locker area is extremely tight and small. The amenities are great, I have everything that you could need to get ready before and after your appointment, but it would be nice if there was a little bit more space. You're right on top of each other when getting changed, the changing room does help, but again, if you go on a Friday Saturday or Sunday during busy time, give yourself some extra time and some patience. The gym is fantastic, very well equipped. I had the oxygen facial and it was out of this world. It was great that we could use the hotel pool, but even better that there was an adults only area in the spa where you could lay out and get some sun without the noise of the hotel guests. read more

We just had a second visit here for my girlfriend's birthday. Unfortunately I have to lower the rating, due to the difficulty in making a reservation. I made an online reservation initially, adding a note that I need two spots at the same time, and I need a call back to confirm. No reply. I called three times, each time not getting a human, left messages, but no call back. Really? Finally my girlfriend (who was being treated for her birthday) went to the spa in person to make things right, but because the original time slot was already filled, we had to change the time to later in the day. This issue with making a reservation makes it impossible to ask for a particular technician. Just a very strange experience that you had to actually go there to talk to someone for a confirmation. What if we were not local? The actual spa day went smoothly, the treatment was wonderful, and poolside lunch was excellent. We were also able to enjoy the Aqua Spa room, which was closed the last time. I'd love to come back, but I hope they can fix the reservation system soon. read more

I really wanted love this spa but I didn't First I would like to say that the massage I received was amazing. The provider was very sweet and did a wonderful job. The atmosphere of the room the massage was performed in was great. Very clean as well. The other amenities of the spa is where this review looses it stars. To start the locker area is too small (small spaces will become a theme of this review). Multiple times we had to wait in a line to get to our designated lockers. The "tea room" is also WAY too small. This is the area where you wait to be taken to your service. There are only 5 seats within this room. At the time we were waiting to be taken back there were at least 12 people crammed into the room and the hallway adjacent. In a moment that should be peaceful and serene, this experience was not. The worst part of it all was the sun room jacuzzi area. Again this area had hardly any seating and no additional tables or benches or even cubbies to put items. There was one available chair that we were able to use to put our items on. This area has 2 jacuzzis, but one was out of order at the time we were there. The water in it looked foul and completely ruined the atmosphere of the whole area. The working jacuzzi had lukewarm water and also had a yellow tone to the water I've never seen anywhere else. It was gross and I regret getting in. At one point several employees were congregated in the locker room. I was trying to get to the toilets and had to say excuse me multiple times before they would move. This seemed to be a trend throughout the day, as there were always employees being loud in the locker rooms. Most of the time it seemed like they were having personal discussions. The other amenities were fine. The brine room also needed more seating as it was nearly full right after my service and I was unable comfortably use it. However, it was not as bad as the other small spaces. Having access to the indoor pool was nice, but as it's available to all hotel guests it was just full of screaming children. We ordered the poolside food (which was actually incredible, probably the best part of the whole day). If I were to return (which I probably won't) I would skip the pool area. This spa was also incredibly loud. Everywhere people were having loud conversations. In every room we went into. This included the staff as well. I was looking forward to a relaxing day, but the only point I could truly relax was during my massage. The staff need to put more of an emphasis on saying that it is a quiet area. Overall, I would not recommend this spa to anyone I know. The service I received was great, but the rest of the amenities fell far below my expectations. Took a break by the pool and shared a late snack with my husband. My appointment isn't until 6:15 pm. I had an effervescent spa pedicure scheduled. I am writing this review with so much sadness..... My husband and I live in Reno, in Lakeridge and frequent the Atlantis for their amazing Restaurants - we love the Atlantis Steakhouse, Bistro Napa and anytime we have Family/Friends in town we take them there (easily several dozen times!). So my Husband of 38 years bought me an Atlantis Gift Card as a Christmas Present to use at the Atlantis Spa as it is the most highly rated Spa in Reno. I decided to use it this week as my Daughter came up from San Diego for Mother's Day and what better way to have some Mother/Daughter time, right? We booked Massages and thought we would enjoy the 'Spa Experience' that the Atlantis is known for. When we arrived we found that the Spa pool was out of service. Okay, fine (but not really) - we went to the outdoor pool that was filled with Moms and Kids. Again, no biggie, kinda, not really? My Daughter and I wanted to order a Drink. There wasn't anyone out at the Pool Area (with the Moms and kids) that was available to take a drink order. So we went back in to the 'non-operational Spa pool' area, finally we were able to order a Drink, they said 20 minutes. Okay, we thought it would work, should be here before our scheduled treatments, and yes they were. However.... this is where everything went sideways. We received the drinks and the guy asks for payment. I am in a bathing suit with a robe and towel, did not bring my wallet, credit card (please consider/keep in mind, they have my CC on file). Anyway, so he said he would come back(?). Then we went back in to get ready for our Massages. I am in the 'Relaxation Room' waiting for my Massage and the Masseuse called my name at the same time as a Spa Representative was there asking for me to pay my 'Room Service Bill'. I am at that point just in my Robe and asked if we could settle this later (again, this is a charge for 2 drinks). So I get done get done with my Massage and I'm truly relaxed - I am about to go into the Steam Room and the Spa Staff are right there again, asking me to settle my 'Room Service Charge'. So the relaxation/calm that I just experienced vanished. Okay so wait - why can't you just add 2 drinks to our tab at the Spa? Why do you want to make a Guest feel so Uncomfortable, incessantly asking to pay? Why make this a truly unpleasant Experience? I wanted to have the 'Atlantis Spa Experience'. I will never go there again (will go back to the Peppermill Spa - fabulous!), nor will I ever go to any of their Restaurants. Save your $$ - definitely not a true Spa Experience. Lastly, the locker area is extremely small/cramped and quite uncomfortable undressing/dressing if more than 3 people are in there, the 'Relaxation Room' waiting area also extremely small/cramped. I have been to way better Spas over the years, not sure why the Atlantis Spa is so highly rated..... 64 yrs on this planet, have been to Spas all over the world, this was the Worst Spa Experience in my Life!!! read more

5 stars for cleanliness and my massage. Start off by saying when you are greeted and taken to the appropriate locker room, everything was clean and relaxing. I was able to enjoy a few minutes in the women's steam and sauna room before meeting my masseuse in the tea lounge. My husband booked me a 90 min session and I was treated by Terri. I informed her my problem focus was mainly my shoulders, neck and feet (from all the 4th of July walking). During the massage, the pressure was perfect. She hit all the right spots and took care of the knots I didn't know I had. When she got to my arms and wrist, I complimented the relief I felt because I also work on a computer all day. I've never had a masseuse work so well on my neck and even massaged my jaw. This was by far the best massage of my life. I didn't experience the co-ed space, but after my massage I used the shower in the ladies locker room. There are 2 spacious shower stalls. Once you enter the stall, there is a stool with clean towels (floor towel, face towel and XL bath towel) and a fresh new robe. I will definitely be back and I hope to get Terri again read more

I received the body scrub and moisturizer treatment it was good. My skin felt soft and nourished. The salt room is extremely relaxing. The jacuzzi tubs are large and spacious, and the deck area is relaxing. I loved the indoor pool area is very nice. I enjoyed lunch by the pool. The womens locker room is cramped. Only a few people can occupy the space at a time. There is a dry sauna and a steam sauna in the locker room area, and they were good. Not happy. Only stars earned by Jenna. She's amazing. I don't ever like to feel like I'm stressing anyone or asking too much, but this place is serving that vibe for sure. I checked in and the staff was amazing, so helpful and kind--so where did it all go so wrong? You are allowed tons of amenities that you can't experience. When I had to go to desk AFTER getting into robe and suit I had to return to desk and asked where are the towels for the jacuzzi's (which I should not have to ask) then had to return to desk to say there are no clean spaces for me to enjoy jacuzzi and private area, what shall I do? "It's always busy , sorry" ...Because I saw a few that just needed to be cleaned off--they told me too bad, I can go to this green "chill out" room full of old ladies relaxing AFTER their treatments. Hmmmmmm,,, I'm still waiting. They told me to come when the appointment was booked hours ago. I thought I could be chilling out and enjoying that area. I felt very awkward every time I asked the people to help me, it was odd, and I'm super social--that says a lot. No one should feel A) like they have to find help when they pay a lot of money for a personal treat; B) like they feel ashamed to bother people for service. There should literally be time limits on the jacuzzi they offer as it's advertised for "everyone" but... When I asked a gentleman worker there about the jacuzzi area and private swimming area he led me to the actual pool for the whole hotel--yet I have on the "spa" robe. When I went back to the desk again--and now you can see how I'm embarrassed to ask anymore questions yet they keep making mistakes--the desk girl is the one that tells me it's too crowded, and I shall chill in this boring room and also apologies for a language barrier???!!!?? What??? I speak Spanish, decently, so how was it my fault for this guy taking me to the pool, what barrier???. What kind of peace experience is this I'm paying for??? I told them when I arrived that it was a present and it was a super special experience for me--when I checked in. I'm recovering from a serious surgery, and I shared that as to make sure I didn't get into too hot waters or anything.... Doesn't seem to matter. Yet, they ask those questions on the che k in. I'm so weirded out by all this. I literally had to ask another guest how to get to tea room--even though there are hella people working here, and everyone sees you, looks at you and then looks away. This is a sad experience that was supposed to be a wonderful gift. Everything we experience here over the years is excellent, that's why we return. This will make me reconsider for sure. When you pay high price for a spa you want high service. This is not a nice place. I'm literally writing this while I'm here--that's how sub-par this is. It makes me upset. Like, not mad, but seriously upset. What's awful is that I'm a ridiculous tipper, and how do I even consider this service (that I haven't even received) when tipping the person who supplies my service? Shared a team spa day with my colleagues today. Booked online pedicure for myself. I called a week ahead to confirm. When I arrived I was bummed that it was not a gel pedi for the price and was told there was not time for gel. The overall pedi was relaxing and the food massage was the best part. FYI there is an up charge for $10 for polish. Didn't know it wasn't included until I paid before I left the property. Pros- I love the additional rooms the Atlantis has on property. The brine salt room is by far my favorite. I noticed today a lot of guest were super loud and chatty in the sauna, steam room and inhalation room as well. No fault of the spa just super busy today. Although i like the experience i was disappointed to find out AT TIME of arrival that outside pool & larger jacuzzi closed for renovation. Im sure when i made the reservation it was known they d be closed but i was not told this. I dont like that kind of business experience especially when treatments run over $200. I expect either 1. To be advised when making reservation and or be given a discount for future visits. Also dont bother for $25 scalp massage add on. The masseuse might of spent awhole 5 mins on the scalp. My first visit to spa Atlantis this week was a good one. I decided last minute to take a week off work and do a staycation and Spa Atlantis was the only spa in the area that could accommodate two, 80-minute next day appointments for me and my husband. They did let us know that the Aqua Lounge and indoor pool were closed for the week which was disappointing. We were greeted with warm smiles and a tour of the facility. We arrived early to enjoy the sauna and steam room before our treatments, both excellent. The locker room facilities are on the smaller side but have excellent amenities and are very clean and well maintained. I loved the sugar and salt scrubs that were available. My hot stone massage with David was one of the best massages I've ever had. Absolutely phenomenal. I will seek David out for future massages at the Atlantis. My husband's Swedish massage was just okay. We spent some time after our massages in the Inhalation room to come out of our massage comas and decompress some more. Because the Aqua Lounge and Indoor pool were closed during our visit, we spent a good chunk of time at the outdoor pool. The outdoor pool at the Atlantis is a mega disappointment. The pool is small. Not enough umbrellas for the number of lounge chairs. The bar is walk up only with no service to lounge chairs and food has to be ordered through room service. The towels are bath towels so too small for the chairs. And the atmosphere is beyond lacking. It feels like you're at a budget hotel pool. Overall a great spa option in Reno and I will absolutely consider going back when the full facilities are open. I think I would have been far happy spending a full day in the Aqua lounge had it been open. read more

My husband and I went for a day trip and as always it was amazing. This is our second time and while we never receive a service - the day pass is definitely worth the price tag. All in all we spent about 5 hours at the spa alternating between the private men's/women's steam and dry saunas, the saline room, the hot tub area, and the pool. The locker rooms are immaculate and I love the robe they give you to utilize throughout your stay. They are plush, fit great, and don't itch. Also the flavored water throughout the spa is a MIST. I've gone here a few times to have a girls spa day with my girlfriends and it's always perfect. We scheduled our services throughout the afternoon so we were able to maximize the day with what the spa offers. Once checking in you are escorted to the locker room and taught how to store your belongings. It was busy that day, so I shared a locket with one of the girls in our group. You're given, slippers and a robe to wear. Typically if your appointment is coming up, you'll want to wait in the lounge next to exit of the locker room. Comfy couches, infused water, water bottles, fruit/snacks offered. I had the Himalayan salt stone massage, 90 minutes, and it was the best. This was the first time having this kind of massage. It was like hot stone but, it felt like my muscles relaxed and was more receptive. The pressure was deep, the type I really like since my muscles are so tense. By the end of the session, my body felt so relaxed, like a noodle! I would definitely recommend this service especially if you are very tense. After the service you are then escorted to the brine inhalation light therapy room. This is one of my favorite rooms. You are able to just relax even more after having your massage even more so. You may even drift to sleep. You'll see people lying around as well, just squeeze in! Their hot tub area is beautiful with the windows letting natural light in. Listening to the waterfall is so relaxing. It is nice to take a dip in the hot tub help the muscles relax. There is a shower to rinse off prior to dipping into the hot tub. There is also a section of cold water to dip in to give you that "cold shot"! The pool area is nice too! It is a good size. There's shower available to rinse off prior to swimming. I didn't swim this time around. It's the same feeling of natural light coming through the windows. Dry sauna is also offered. This is room I love to be in to sweat out the toxins built up. I could stay long in here however my cousin only tolerated it for a few minutes. Inside the women's locker room you'll also find the stream room, which is more bearable than being in the dry sauna, giving you that same detoxifying feeling. Their showers are wonderful. They offer premium shampoo and conditioner I believe aveda products. They also offer salt scrub to get the dead skin cells off. Another amenity that I didn't use was the gym, but it looks like a good size gym with different equipment from cardio to weights. If we didn't binge on the buffet for Sunday brunch earlier in the day this would been used! Solid 5 stars from the receptionists, massage therapists, concierge. This is my favorite spa in Reno! I have been here so many times, I'm surprised I haven't given a review yet. I was here twice within the last month (on a Tuesday for a facial and on a Sunday for a massage). The reason for this is because it is really difficult to book a massage here. Typically they book a couple weeks out, which is unfortunate. I'm happy I was able to experience the spa on a week day and a weekend day, to be able to compare the experiences. Although very comparable, the weekday was a better experience. The spa was not as crowded, which means there were more seats available in various areas of the spa, and it was quieter. On the Sunday, I was unable to wait for my service in the tea lounge because it was completely full. Also, the hot tub room had very limited seats available. Another great thing about the weekday is that locals get a discount on their service, which is a very nice incentive to not go on the weekend! I did notice that the locker room was stocked with more toiletries and body scrubs for use on the weekend, but was not stocked with these items on the weekday. My Tuesday service was a Simple Facial with the Lead Esthetician, Kim. I hesitated to give her name, because she was so good that I don't want her to be hard to book in the future! She was absolutely fantastic. Very thorough, friendly, informative (when I asked questions), but also mindful of my need to relax. I am getting married this year, so I'll definitely use her to prep my face for a wedding glow! My Sunday service was a 90 minute Swedish Massage with Josephine. I splurged on the 90 minute (versus a 60 minute) and was so happy that I did. It was one of the best massages I have ever had! I was able to fully relax and zen out. I have zero complaints about my service, and will definitely request Josephine in the future. During one of my visits, my mom and I sat in the indoor pool area and ordered food service to be delivered to us. The service was very quick, and the food was pretty good. Definitely a bit pricey. I would also note that it's annoying that you have to pay for the food right upon receiving it (can't add it to the spa tab). I had to run to the locker room and get my debit card while the waitress who brought the food waited outside the locker room for me. It was awkward. For two side house salads and one chicken sandwich, the total was about $46. The area that needs some improvement is the check out experience. Most people check out of the spa around the same time, so there is usually a wait. The staff at the check out desk seemed a bit inexperienced. Overall, I love this spa and I will always come here as my first choice. They have definitely raised this prices, which is disappointing. This is more of a luxury experience. read more

Pampered my wife with mani-pedi today at the Atlantis Casino and spa. Me and the kids stayed at the pool/jacuzzi enjoying room service and drinks while she got pampered. A little pricey and packed full of kids. Apparently California had their spring break also and lots of kids in the pool. But the service was great and the food was great. Can't ask for more. I previously put pic of the spa, so not going to again. Just some food and fun pics. read more

8/26/24 I had a spa appointment at 3 PM with the anticipation of arriving 30 minutes early. There was an accident just prior to the offramp that brought the freeway to a standstill. I called the receptionist to see if it was at all possible to move my massage back for which she said they were fully booked, which is understandable. I then kindly requested to be able to reschedule due to the unforeseen circumstance , for which she then replied after speaking to her manager the charge will still be applied at 100%, but that I could still come in during my appointment time which is just not possible as the freeway is currently stopped. I understand there is policy and then I think Grace should be given for unforeseen circumstances for a customer with no history of showing up late. Very disappointed and sad to see you treat your customers this way. read more

95.00$ for a day pass. I was shell shocked when checking in to that price. I was there for a friend's birthday. I legit Thought it would be about $60 since I wasn't getting a service. What was super disappointing is that there was actually a pedicure for $115 so for $20 more I could've gotten a 60 minute service and enjoyed the use of the spa; however, they were all booked up. I feel that the $95 was outrageous for the amenities that I got. The whole locker room was extremely small and the part that the lockers were in when there were four women in it, I had to wait my turn. Three bathrooms. Three showers. I'm assuming they must limit the amount of guests. I know they were right now because of Covid but I'm not sure what they usually do. The snacks were laughable and not even worth mentioning. I appreciated available small water bottles. Staff inside locker room were friendly. They give you basically flip flops to walk around in, not comfortable slippers. I realize you can go into pool areas so that would make them wet. The pool area unfortunately is open to all the guests. They do have a private spa area, that was one of the two highlights. Luckily there were only a few other people at the spa. The other highlight was the humid waterfall room, that was relaxing but the seats were very hot considering the temp was 101 degrees so I wish they provided towels to sit on, not just rolled up mini towels for your head although that was a nice touch. In the brine therapy room/salt room there were like blankets on some of the chairs and that didn't really make sense to me because were these used blankets by other people? One guy had one wrapped around his neck so it made me a bit uncomfortable as none of that was explained. Apparently this room was supposed to have different lighting that would go on throughout your stay well and there was no lighting so we decided to leave and a worker told us that they had been having some issues with the lighting. Which made me feel even more upset about the $95 I had paid where not everything is even working correctly. Overall the price was just outrageous to me. Big supporter of the Atlantis but I will never go back to spa Atlantis for the amount I paid and I don't understand all the marketing advertisements about how great this spa is. Pretty unimpressed overall for the money. 60$ would Def have been more appropriate and may have equaled a better review for value/services provided. I had great company though so that was worth it. Also Napa Bistro afterwards hit the spot. read more

I got the Himalayan stone massage and it was wonderful. The room was quiet and very clean. Every sauna room was great. The hot tubs are always a wonderful place to relax. Highly recommend! read more

I've been coming to the Atlantis Spa for almost 10 years. I absolutely hate leaving reviews like this but based off the price point thought it would be best. I received a 90 min aromatherapy message, which I've received before and it was probably the worst massage I've ever received. My massage therapist did not apply any pressure the entire service and just rubbed warm coconut oil all over me as if it were lotion. Before starting I explained how sore my upper back and neck are from carrying my baby around constantly and after the service felt no relief. Extremely disappointed! Typically these massages they use different oils as well to help with tension and she only used jasmine the entire time. Truly disappointed . I have mixed feelings about Spa Atlantis. I went with a group of friends for facials and massages on a weekday recently. There were four of us total, and one friend had just lost her husband unexpectedly after 27 years. The rest of us flew in from out of state to be with her and hopefully take her mind off of things, even if for just a few hours. Our first impression wasn't great. While the spa itself looked very nice and smelled amazing, we couldn't help but feel unwelcome by the front desk staff. We were initially helped by Nicki, who seemed to not want to be there, annoyed to help us, and for some reason, very defensive about any questions we asked. The friend who organized the day was going over specifics with her when another lady came in with questions about how to use a giftcard she had received. The girl who helped her (I did not catch her name) was quite rude to her, said they do not take walk in appointments (remember this for later), and I could tell everyone in the lobby overhearing the conversation was embarrassed for the poor guest. Nicki brought us back into the locker area where she asked what size robe we'd each like. It would have been nice to do this a little more discreetly, as we were all forced to state our size in front of each other and in front of strangers. Unfortunately, I was given a smaller size than I had asked for, so it barely closed over my chest, but I made do with it because I didn't want to be humiliated a second time by asking for a bigger size. We had arranged to get a tour of the spa prior to our services, and despite arriving 30 minutes early, we were told that there was no time. When one of the ladies in my party expressed her disappointment, i.e. "oh, too bad we didn't get the tour we talked about...", I observed two girls at the desk just inside the spa from the lobby look at each other and roll their eyes (dark blonde shoulder length straight hair with glasses and August). We were taken to the waiting area of the locker room where I was fairly quickly picked up by Lisa. Lisa was an absolute GEM. The person who arrange for our day requested a Swedish massage for me, but I usually like a deep tissue. However, I was pleasantly surprised because Lisa asked me if I wanted any upgrades before we started, and then asked me about my preferences and goals. As someone who gets at least one massage every month, I feel as though the bar is set pretty high. Let me just say that Lisa's personality, skill, pressure and technique was in the top three BEST massages I've ever had in my almost 46 years of being on this Earth. She was sweet, professional, and did an amazing job. I wish I lived closer so I could be treated by her more often. After our services, we wandered back to the lobby as we were told to do by Nicki to do in order to get the tour we had been promised. After being ignored for an extended amount of time, we finally went back into the spa to the second desk to inquire again. August stood up and said, "Sure, you can have a tour if you want." She unenthusiastically led us to a few places within the spa and showed us various rooms with minimal description of what they were for, instructed us to be quiet, and then disappeared into thin air, leaving us somewhere near the pool. The other girls all loved their services. No complaints there whatsoever. The massage therapist and the aestheticians were all top notch and my friends even got leftover products from their facials to take home. The other staff, though....they just made us feel like we were a burden and they were somehow better than us. We all agreed. The friend who arranged the trip wanted to say something, but by that time it was best to just leave. Nicki completed our checkout and once again was snarky and cold. At the expense of $1000, I would expect to at least be treated respectfully. Atlantis, you should really reconsider who you have making that first impression at your establishment. The wrong person will ruin the entire experience. Also, it turns out that you CAN just walk in and see if there's availability. The first front desk girl just didn't want to help. I'm not sure I'd go back. I hear there's another comparable spa in town. I'll probably give them a try next time. read more

WOW!!! What a fabulous experience. All of your senses, visual, olfactory, and auditory are pampered the moment you walk in to the Spa Atlantis. Peaceful surroundings, lovely scents and soothing music. This was my first time getting a full body milk and honey body wrap. Technician, Kristy, was awesome and professional. She let me know what to expect with each step. Do you begin with a sugar exfoliating treatment, followed by an exhilarating rain shower. Next, entire body is painted in milk and honey mixture. Here comes the best part...all wrapped up and cocooned in a warm water flotation device; upper body and scalp massage complete the treatment! Warning...this could be addictive!!! read more

My family and I were staying at the Atlantis hotel for the 4th of July holiday so I took advantage and booked an early morning massage (8am)and boy was I glad I did! I was instructed to arrive 30mins before, I thought that was early it they know what they're doing. When I arrived Heidi, who I think was the manager of the spa gave me a tour of all amenities included for the day, yes for the day! With my massage. After you get ready for your massage you sit in the waiting area, depending if you're in the women's or men's room. They have a nice area with snacks and drinks to enjoy while you're attended to for your service. I really liked this. My massage therapist came out and called my name, I'm terrible with names but will update this review once I confirm who massaged me. She was fantastic, best massage I've ever had. I had a aroma therapy massage and loved it. After my massage I took full advantage of all the amenities the spa had to offer. I only wish I had more time as I had holiday plans with my family. They did not skip any corners when building this spa and thought of everything, the service was exceptional too! I wish this was close to my house in the Bay Area lol but I will for sure come back to this spa, hopefully soon! **Tip: If you're an early bird I'd recommend an early morning massage at 8am, it allows you to take full advantage of the spa without a lot of people and you have all day to use their spa amenities! read more

Very nice was my first impression. I booked massages for me and my dad during the week while in Reno. I've been comparing the different spas and Atlantis so far has been the top compared to Silver Legacy and GSR, I have yet to check out the Peppermill. You access the spa through the elevators, you have access to 3 different pool areas, two of the main ones, one indoor and another outdoor and it's also connected to the gym and another co-Ed out door jacuzzi, pool area, with a rain shower shower. There are much more snacks here but I believe you only get a 2 hour time window to stay and use the facilities depending on how busy it is. Drinks, fruit, snacks, multiple rooms and co-Ed relaxation rooms, salt rooms, huge facility, they have about 3 showers, different changing rooms. Good amenities to use, but there was a smaller female only area compared to others, they have your regular sauna and steam room. But so far I have ranked Atlantis as one of the higher rated spas in Reno. I got a massage and it was great. I booked an appointment later on in the day so I was one of the last people that got to take advantage of everything. read more

For my first time being at this spa it was not a bad visit. Although most of the amenities were closed such as the Indoor atrium pool, Seasonal outdoor pool and sun deck, and Year-round outdoor jetted spa (which was unfortunate I was looking forward to using those amenities) my Swedish massage was the best massage I've ever had. I felt so relaxed afterwards I didn't want to move. The staff was super nice and helpful throughout the day. The spa is kept very very clean. The women's locker room has a sauna and steam room which was nice. The tea lounge has a few dry snacks and fruit and the herb infused waters around the spa were delicious. I wish there were more places to sit and just hang out. I also wonder if there is a food menu service? Hopefully I can go back and try my experiences again with everything open. read more
