Would not come here again. The service was rude, and the prices are not worth the experience. I paid $45 for just a basic pedicure at Amazing Nails and it was not amazing. (I paid $35 in the Bay Area for the same service last month) I had my pedicure done by Tanya. Toward the end, I noticed that one of my toenails looked crooked, so I politely pointed it out. Tanya responded by saying that my toe was crooked. I asked if she could simply file the nail to make it look more even, and after she did, the nail looked fine. What I also found very unprofessional was hearing her complain in Vietnamese afterward. I could understand her saying "She wanted her nails short and now complaining that the nail was crooked."Regardless of what language is being spoken, customers can still understand when they are being talked about, and I did not appreciate it. Overall, the experience felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. For the price, I expected much better customer service and would not recommend this place or return. read more

Amazing nails did it again my French cat eye nails by Kim! I love my nails! I don't do my nails often since I'm a busy mom and I'm always hard on my hands so I never saw a point. But when I do I always come here and when I do get them done I am always stunned!!! I mean can you say G. O. R. G. E. O. U. S!!!!! These are acrylics now then when my nails grow out they do a gel over so it's healthier for your nails. I've heard of it but I'm not too familiar with it. I've never had acrylics done before but damn these are beautiful!! I love them. I think I'm going to have to continue to come back and get refills for a bit. They just make me so happy. I stopped by Amazing Nails for the first time after my friend gave me a gift certificate. I got a French Manicure and Kim did my nails. She was great! I asked for a square shape with rounded edges and she shaped them exactly how I wanted. The color looks super natural and clean, just like I had hoped. It had been 4 long years since I've had a manicure and pedicure. I was underwhelmed with the choices of shops here on Yelp! I'm very picky about how my fingers and toes look. It was nice to find this amazing salon. After moving to Reno in 2017 I decided to take a break and idid for 3 years and started with them again in 2020. I usually would go at 10 0r 11 a.m. This time frame was nice because the salon wouldn't be too busy at all, only a few in the pedicure chairs and a few getting manicures. Honestly the pics here on Yelp are not impressive at all or maybe my standards are too high coming from the competitive Bay Area. I was shocked at some the poor quality of some of the nail sets! I found this spot from the receptionist at my dermatology office where I go to get my "work" done. After two or three visits I finally asked Janet who did her nails, they always look spectacular! She shared Loan was her girl. I went to her for 2 full years and was usually extremely happy with her work. I'm very, very picky about my nails so she fit the bill for me. My nails never broke or chipped. I did get a pedicure a couple of times and was very happy with the results. The only negative was they couldn't do them at the same time. My old salon in the Bay Area did them at the same time, no problem! Time is money. I definitely tipped 25% to 30% each time and she never thanked me properly. I brought her a X-Mas gift and didn't get a thank you either. Overall I would highly recommend this place and all the technicians seem to do a great job, I just can't remember any of the names. The cleanliness was also very good because I needed the ladies room a few times. I'm doing my own nails at home but if I ever decide to get them done again I would come back to Amazing Nails!! read more

I love this neighborhood nail salon that lets me call last minute for a pedi and I always get in and have good service. Upon entering this last Saturday, they were completely packed with almost every chair full, and although I had called ahead but forgot to give them my name, but they were still able to get me in. I always go for the gel Pedi as it seems like these last the longest. They have a great selection of colors as well. The massage chairs are top notch with warm water, which they added more warm water to during the Pedi to make sure it stayed warm. The foot/leg massage with hot stones and towel wrap to me is one of the better in the area. I've been to some places that barely massage your feet and legs, and I was really going for relaxation and that extra massage and release of tension from my legs and feet after having a heavy workout week. This has been our Goto for manis and pedis for a couple of years now. Always gracious and skilled, especially now that we've become regulars every month or so. Really appreciate that they take the extra time with me now to deal with an occasional ingrown toenail I get. I don't get gel or paint, but they've got a great selection and I love the massage chairs they use. Was just there last week and they've added a nail bar drying station. Note. So glad I found THIS nail salon. Called @3 on a Saturday to see if they could accommodate a pedicure with ingrown nail problem for my daughter who was in a lot of pain. They were able to get us in @5. We don't live in the area and I chose this salon based on reviews and location. On first impression it was very clean! The ladies working here were professional, and kind. Our tech was sensitive to my daughter's pain level and kept checking to see if she was okay. She was able to get my daughter out of pain so she could finish her volleyball competition. I'm so grateful for their assistance, and willing to accommodate us on a "walk in" type basis. Prices looked reasonable. A traditional pedicure started at @$35. Overall I'd recommend this salon based on how they treated my daughter and I, as well as cleanliness. read more

Over the course of about the last year, this has been my go to spot for pedicures. Every tech I've had in my 5-6 visits here, has been great. My last visit I actually requested the name of my tech so I could be sure to include her in my review - Tanya was wonderful and gave me such a wonderful pedicure. Today I was bleeding and it did not stop because she nipped my skin very far up my cuticle, and that is the last time I come here. They took $5 off my bill and that's it. I had to tell the lady to NOT polish my toes because there was so much blood and finally it stopped bleeding and I just wanted to get out of there so I told her to paint it and then I left. The salon is very spacious and the ambiance is relaxing. This visit, I came in for a pedicure. They greeted me right away and showed me all the color options. I love that they have all of their colors available in gel and regular polish. They do offer different types of pedicures, but this time they didn't offer me any of the types and just assumed I wanted a basic one. I'm giving this place 3 stars because it's really expensive for Reno. We chose this place because it has the kids chairs & my daughter can actually soak her feet in the water. They are pretty friendly & they were sweet with my daughter. But they didn't offer any drinks/water & worst of all there was no massage! They massaged my legs to put on the lotion and the scrub and that's it! I paid $75 a pedicure!!! I love Eden nails and should not have tried somewhere new even with the kids chairs. It was really nice and relaxing to get a pedi after 5 months of being neglected. Service here was great, quiet and not loud conversations in the back ground. They also sanitized surfaces after each guests leave. I had the deluxe pedi while my gf had the normal pedi. My lady was still srubbing my feet while she was already half way done painting her gel toes. I was clearly happy with my pedi but gf was a bit jealous of my lady. Her gel mani also came off exactly the ninth day of after getting it done and she was super careful too. A deluxe pedi in oakland is also $25 while it was $45 here. $$$ but we had no choice as nail salons are still closed in the Bay. read more

I came for a gel mani and spa pedi on a Friday morning. The pedi was fine, although my technician was a little abrupt and rough with me. I stayed quiet and cheerful because nothing was particularly painful at that point, but certainly not a relaxing/soothing experience. during the manicure is when things went really bad. while filing my nails, my technician was applying so much downward pressure the nail file cut into my finger causing me to yelp out loud and pull my hand away. My friend and i both looked at my finger and i was bleeding from the cut she caused with the emory boars. I asked her to please be more gentile. She completed the mani without an apology or acknowledging that she hurt me. My nails looked good after the mani and it has stayed on two weeks, so I'm giving two stars, but I was worried about infection after she cut me and was really hoping for a more relaxing experience. read more

I've been to many nail salons in various cities, so I like to think I have a pretty good baseline of expectations for a good mani/pedi experience. Getting your nails done is a luxury that has definitely increased in price over the past decade, so getting the most bang for your buck is important. I don't go as often as I would like to, but I mostly opt for a pedicure. I like the pedi's here. I haven't had any worries about cleanliness here from my experience. It's not the best of the best, and to be honest, I haven't found "that" pedi experience yet, hence why I'm not loyal to one salon (yet). I like to try different salons around my local area but this one is up there. I appreciate when a pedi includes exfoliating scrub for feet and legs. Thankfully Amazing Nails is one of the places that do. I've never had a poor experience here and I hope it remains that way. My color and painting job consistently turns out nice and clean. The techs could be more friendly but I found that with some language barriers they often times don't engage in small talk and just focus on your service. The leg and foot massage could also improve as that's the main part I always look forward to. I haven't had any "wow" foot rubs here. You're paying for more than just someone to apply nail polish, which is something I can do myself for free, so I'd appreciate a little more attention to the other pedi services offered instead of just running through the motions. Sometimes it feels a bit rushed and the massage part is more just rubbing lotion/oil into the skin. I also understand if I want a massage, seek a massage service, but this is something they can improve to really make their pedi's the most satisfying experience. My friend took me there Amazing nails salon but first visit was not that good so I didn't post that photo. She was older than anna and she kinda messed up my nails and pretty overpriced. It was my first time to get acrylic nails but the result was pretty bad. Anna is a good technician. I can't say that I love the way she treats her customers but her skills are perfect. I only get my nails done by Anna. I feel like all of the technicians are quite dry. They seem like they are not welcoming that much when customers come in. I was going to give this place one star but my family also had their nails done here and they turned out great. I was the only one who got acrylics and it was the worst experience I have encountered in a nail salon. Here are just a few points 1.) he cut my cuticles with the buffer machine and made them bleed, then Ungloved wiped away my blood from my cuticles 2.) the glue was so thick my skin was stuck to the nail and was super painful using hands for simple things like pulling my pants up or brushing my hair 3.) the gel nail was so thick uneven and the shape was trapezoidal, not square like I asked. Overall I got the nails removed the next day because they were still painful and I was feeling self conscious about how they looked. Definitely will not be back again. read more

I like this place! I went for the first time just for a basic pedicure because it had been too long and polish was chipping off...I liked the last place I went but the club-like atmosphere was a little too much for me. Amazing Nails, on the other hand, was whisper quiet. Mostly yay! I love quiet but could barely hear the women doing my pedicure and she was very impatient with me about that. I am sure the mask didn't help matters. Although the mask mandate was lifted, everyone working there was still wearing them and 5/6 customers were too. I appreciated how clean everything was and the price was good for a basic pedicure. I will say that it involved hot stone leg massage but the stone she rubbed on my legs and feet was not really hot...especially by the time she got to the second leg. Colors- you choose by number first, and they get the polish later from behind the counter. I didn't love this because I am terrible at remembering numbers and by the time she needed it, I had forgotten. Whoops. Also the color on my toes looked very different from the sample nail and I didn't love it, which I tried to communicate without success. So- bonus for last minute availability on a Saturday (and so easy to yelp message with) and a nice clean, quiet nail salon for a good pedicure. read more

Amazing Nails really isn't Amazing! I went in for a Gel polish and a pedicure. It was the quickest pedicure ever! She barely scrubed my calluses and the polish work was not the greatest! Went out of town for thanksgiving on and more nails started to chip! Went to the shop Nov 30 and asked to have them remove the gel. Amazing nails always takes such good care of me when I come in. It is easy to book an appointment and they are always on time. The salon is very clean and they have a ton of different nail colors to choose from in both gel and regular polish. I love the deluxe pedicure and the hot stone massage. The nail techs are super friendly and nice, they even made my husband feel comfortable and he was a pedicure first timer. The prices are very reasonable for the services offered.
