I have gone here several times and have had great experiences and not the best experiences. I keep going back because most of the team members are really kind specifically the owner and potentially owners partner. They seem to always be in good spirits and eager to help. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's a high turnover or if I just haven't had luck with certain people who've been training but the quality of the nails is hidden one time the owner actually noticed that the gel pedicure I was getting looked pretty awful and he kindly offered to redo it while I do appreciate it. It made me about an hour late to my appointment later in the afternoon, which was frustrating, but I did appreciate that he noticed the quality and fixed it himself. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is a clean, vibrant, welcoming nail salon on the inside. Very friendly, experienced staff who make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I had the deluxe pedicure and manicure, and am very happy with the results. I only get my nails done a couple of times of year as a treat but may go here more often. My niece and I walked in for a pedicure. The place was pretty busy but they got us right in, within about 5 minutes. Pricing is average. We each had a male tech and they did a decent job. Everything seemed clean, the only thing is, I do like when I go to places that get the tools out of packaging that have been sterilized more I think. Their tools came out of their little caddy's, always makes me wonder if they are sterilized after every customer??. They could have been a bit more firm but as men I know they usually are more gentle and worried to overdo on the massaging and stuff. They were both friendly. read more

I scheduled two pedicures - one for me and one for my dad. I wanted to treat my dad to a pedicure as he is in assisted living and thought this would be a relaxing experience for him as we spent time together. My dad is legally blind with limited mobility and takes a moment to answer people if they direct a question at him. Given his circumstances, I fully understand that it is my responsibility to make sure he was safely seated in the pedicure chair, which I did. Where things went south was the employee who was assigned to perform his basic pedicure. She was incredibly rude and provided a humiliating experience for him. Initially, she struggled to get his leg out of the water, loudly bemoaning to me, "He is so heavy." It's unclear why she was trying to lift it straight out of the water versus slight angled, since the foot pad is slightly angled up for the employees to do the toes. It was as though she has never understood spatial geometry. She then proceeded to yell out into the establishment, "Can I get some help! He is so heavy," in an attempt to rally colleagues. Oddly, no one came. There are two issues here - there is no empathy for his circumstances in this approach. You are yelling about your perception of a person who is clearly disabled. Your tone is neither kind, patience, or understanding. He was a burden to you and you let that be know. Two, why no one on staff assisted her is also baffling. I took my feet out of my tub, and within 10 seconds, placed his foot on the pad with ease. I proceeded to let her know, "It is clear you don't work with people with disabilities." She responded, "Yes, this is my first time." To which I replied, "Well, this is how aging works. You'll see it with your own parents." The woman next to me leaned over to let me know that what I was doing for my dad was great, that a pedicure is a good activity for him. I wanted to tell her, I hope he will still want to do this again, given this experience. The employee proceeded to rush through my dad's pedicure as fast as possible, shouting at him as though he was deaf when engaging him to lift the other foot (which he did without issue because had the initial foot on the pad to assist him). He's not deaf, just blind. When my pedicure was finished and I moved both of us to sit under the blacklight dryer (I was the only one with polish that needed the dryer but I wanted him with me), I started to pull down his pant legs and the employee noticed that maybe she should have assisted with that and attempted to help at the last minute. But I was already done. Thanks for trying on empathy too late. My own pedicure was mediocre. They treat everyone like an object on a conveyor belt, trying to move through each person as fast as possible, which means minimal attention and care. My person was still better than my dad's. I wish my dad had had my employee. Overall, if you need something quick and without a pampering experience, this could be your place. But do not bring someone disabled into the location. They will be humiliated and disrespected by at least one staff member. My dad is not a burden; he is a human being. And I hope that employee realizes that one day she will be old and wish that people treat her with empathy. read more

My daughter and I are visiting Reno from the Bay Area, California and decided we needing a little pampering. I called and got an appointment for a mani/pedi an hour later for both of us. As soon as we arrived, We were greeted and sat quickly. The two gentlemen who helped us were very kind and accommodating. My daughter is very fidgety, she's 4, and they were both talking with her and trying to keep her still. The tech who did my nails was friendly and was telling me about when his daughter was 4. You could not figure out how to get the airbrush machine to work, and I went to table #6 for the nice, female tech to finish my nails. Location is in a dusty strip mall off S Virginia Street right next to a dog grooming business. First impression walking into the shop is it smells super pretty and the decor is very tasteful and feminine. You don't know notice the handful of barking dogs next door, but it was hard to ignore during my pedicure. I popped on my earbuds and it helped a little. The ambiance music was soothing and nice. My tech was sweet and petite during the pedicure and it was a nice foot massage. When she switched to my manicure, I did cringe at little when she got to my cuticles, it felt rushed. Eek eek eek.. I was hoping for a cute Fourth of July theme but their color and glittery bling options looked limited. I ended up changing my whole choice when the "blue" glitter looked more turquoise/teal. My second choice included 3 polishes (red white blue) and she told me it was an extra $5, and by this time, after changing my design idea twice, I was a little irritated/disappointed by this so I chucked the whole Fourth of July theme and just went with one blue nail color.
