Foxy Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I am so sad to report that after my 5th visit here with outstanding service I have never felt more low as a customer. My friend made 3 total appointments for mani and pedis, hers with Pi and mine with Peter and the 3rd who ever was available. We were told Peter would have a customer but would be available at 10am for me. She secured the other 2 appointments at 945 with Pi and any other avail tech. We arrived early at 930 and we were told Pi was out sick and asked if another tech was ok. We accepted the new tech and we were sat for our pedicures. I have been seeing Peter for 4 going on 5 months and specifically requested him because I enjoy his work and he matches my design requests. Today I showed him another design and he said no problem for pedi and mani. When he showed the designed I said it was ok but not what I wanted but could work with it since the same would be on my nails. He then moved me to his desk and began my manicure. After soaking and shaping another technician came and tapped me on the shoulder and said Peter was doubled booked and asked if it was ok someone else completed my manicure. I was lost for words but said ok. I watched Peter leave half way through my service to go help the other second booked appointment in the pedicure stations. I waited a few moments and no one came so I turned around to my party and told them what had just happened. I said "they double booked Peter and pulled him half way through my service" after a few minutes I was moved over to the woman who sits 2 desks from the cash register. She seemed apologetic in the beginning but over the course of finishing my service and correcting the design on my toes to match my nails, things changed. As I sat there getting my manicure done, another woman came in to find out they had also double booked her appointment. She began to get loud and said it was the 3rd time it happened to her. I had sympathy because it was happening to me in that moment. The woman ended up leaving. During the course of my manicure I witnessed the phone be answered 4 times, appointment slots given, and nothing written in their book. It was very clear to me what happened to me today. It also happened to the woman. And will more than likely happen to future patrons to this business. The tech doing my manicure offered to redo the design on my toe in which I did let her to it, I was already upset with what had happened I didnt want to leave upset with a design. During the course of the redo she offered that my service be completely free. I stayed completely quiet. I did not want a free service. I wanted the services I made appointments for with the tech I requested. I understand things happen, however, the course they took today was not the best in my opinion. I paid for my service in which they gav $15 off to me and the other 2 females in my party. Peter, you do great work and I'm sorry this happened but I can no longer move forward with the shop. read more

One of the best pedicures I ever got. First time here, the place was clean and people were energetic. I walked-in with no problem but the place was busy. I *think* tho that they really only do gel polish. Luckily I brought my own non gel. So, I'll clarify next time I go. But, the service and quality was A+. read more

Gel Manicure by Tom was great! Very gentle with my nails and amazing service. I would definitely recommend

In my opinion this is the best nail salon in Reno. The only place I ever go for a pedicure, they always do an amazing job for a reasonable price. Recently also got just a gel manicure and I'm very happy with it. The techs can also do amazing acrylics and hard gel as well with designs so anything you need you can get done here. It's always busy but I've never had to wait more than ten minutes appointment or not. read more

Lily was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and thorough with my pedicure! And she was good at recommending colors!

I have gone here several times and have had great experiences and not the best experiences. I keep going back because most of the team members are really kind specifically the owner and potentially owners partner. They seem to always be in good spirits and eager to help. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's a high turnover or if I just haven't had luck with certain people who've been training but the quality of the nails is hidden one time the owner actually noticed that the gel pedicure I was getting looked pretty awful and he kindly offered to redo it while I do appreciate it. It made me about an hour late to my appointment later in the afternoon, which was frustrating, but I did appreciate that he noticed the quality and fixed it himself. The space is always clean and they have a vast array of colors. read more

hate leaving a bad review however; appointments don't mean much, it's still accepted on a first come first serve basis. my friend was haggled for a tip for okay service. my full acrylic set was $70 they used an old file drill, it looked outgrown in a few days and started lifting badly after a week and needs a fill. for the price it should have lasted way longer. read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is a clean, vibrant, welcoming nail salon on the inside. Very friendly, experienced staff who make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I had the deluxe pedicure and manicure, and am very happy with the results. I only get my nails done a couple of times of year as a treat but may go here more often. Easy online booking system and no wait upon arrival. Reasonable prices for the services provided. Overall, an excellent experience! read more

My niece and I walked in for a pedicure. The place was pretty busy but they got us right in, within about 5 minutes. Pricing is average. We each had a male tech and they did a decent job. Everything seemed clean, the only thing is, I do like when I go to places that get the tools out of packaging that have been sterilized more I think. Their tools came out of their little caddy's, always makes me wonder if they are sterilized after every customer??. They could have been a bit more firm but as men I know they usually are more gentle and worried to overdo on the massaging and stuff. They were both friendly. read more

I scheduled two pedicures - one for me and one for my dad. I wanted to treat my dad to a pedicure as he is in assisted living and thought this would be a relaxing experience for him as we spent time together. My dad is legally blind with limited mobility and takes a moment to answer people if they direct a question at him. Given his circumstances, I fully understand that it is my responsibility to make sure he was safely seated in the pedicure chair, which I did. Where things went south was the employee who was assigned to perform his basic pedicure. She was incredibly rude and provided a humiliating experience for him. Initially, she struggled to get his leg out of the water, loudly bemoaning to me, "He is so heavy." It's unclear why she was trying to lift it straight out of the water versus slight angled, since the foot pad is slightly angled up for the employees to do the toes. It was as though she has never understood spatial geometry. She then proceeded to yell out into the establishment, "Can I get some help! He is so heavy," in an attempt to rally colleagues. Oddly, no one came. There are two issues here - there is no empathy for his circumstances in this approach. You are yelling about your perception of a person who is clearly disabled. Your tone is neither kind, patience, or understanding. He was a burden to you and you let that be know. Two, why no one on staff assisted her is also baffling. I took my feet out of my tub, and within 10 seconds, placed his foot on the pad with ease. I proceeded to let her know, "It is clear you don't work with people with disabilities." She responded, "Yes, this is my first time." To which I replied, "Well, this is how aging works. You'll see it with your own parents." The woman next to me leaned over to let me know that what I was doing for my dad was great, that a pedicure is a good activity for him. I wanted to tell her, I hope he will still want to do this again, given this experience. The employee proceeded to rush through my dad's pedicure as fast as possible, shouting at him as though he was deaf when engaging him to lift the other foot (which he did without issue because had the initial foot on the pad to assist him). He's not deaf, just blind. When my pedicure was finished and I moved both of us to sit under the blacklight dryer (I was the only one with polish that needed the dryer but I wanted him with me), I started to pull down his pant legs and the employee noticed that maybe she should have assisted with that and attempted to help at the last minute. But I was already done. Thanks for trying on empathy too late. My own pedicure was mediocre. They treat everyone like an object on a conveyor belt, trying to move through each person as fast as possible, which means minimal attention and care. My person was still better than my dad's. I wish my dad had had my employee. Overall, if you need something quick and without a pampering experience, this could be your place. But do not bring someone disabled into the location. They will be humiliated and disrespected by at least one staff member. My dad is not a burden; he is a human being. And I hope that employee realizes that one day she will be old and wish that people treat her with empathy. read more

Location is in a dusty strip mall off S Virginia Street right next to a dog grooming business. First impression walking into the shop is it smells super pretty and the decor is very tasteful and feminine. You don't know notice the handful of barking dogs next door, but it was hard to ignore during my pedicure. I popped on my earbuds and it helped a little. The ambiance music was soothing and nice. My tech was sweet and petite during the pedicure and it was a nice foot massage. When she switched to my manicure, I did cringe at little when she got to my cuticles, it felt rushed. Eek eek eek.. I was hoping for a cute Fourth of July theme but their color and glittery bling options looked limited. I ended up changing my whole choice when the "blue" glitter looked more turquoise/teal. My second choice included 3 polishes (red white blue) and she told me it was an extra $5, and by this time, after changing my design idea twice, I was a little irritated/disappointed by this so I chucked the whole Fourth of July theme and just went with one blue nail color. Oh well. read more

This is not a phony review. I had appointments with Peter however, on 11/5/25 I was a walk-in, and it was his day off. I unfortunately got stuck with you. Between you and your wife, sister, etc. answering the phone, scheduling people in the appointment book, teaching the other techs how to use the cash register and greeting people who entered the salon, you were very busy. You could not figure out how to get the airbrush machine to work, and I went to table #6 for the nice, female tech to finish my nails. You filed my nails with used filing boards, and you were so aggressive, my cuticles bled. AND YOU KNOW ALL OF THIS. YOU WERE CITED BY THE STATE BOARD OF COSMOTOLOGY. You don't have legal representation-LOL!! Look at the great job you did! read more
