While she was painting my toes I thought she only did one coat but thought I may have missed her doing both coats. After I was out in the sun I realized that only one coat was done so the polish has streaks. So once again I will be redoing myself. What a waste of money. While in Reno, I needed a mani-pedi, so I stopped in here. There were several open seats/stations in the place, but I still had to wait around 30 minutes to get started. Things seemed to be okay, and I did find it relaxing, but be ready for MANY up-charges. They will up-charge you for callous removal, massages, etc so be ready for that. When going over the colors the price changed . I got told a color that THEY HAVE and needs a bottom coat for was counted as a separate color. The guy who did my feet was very nice , he somehow got confused when I said I wanted fake nails and not my real nails painted , they tried to make me pay for a service that I didn't ask for , when I told them I wasn't paying for it the white girl with the glasses , the only white lady in there , threatened to call the police and she closed the door on me as if I wasn't going to pay for my feet at least. I have given them 2 tries and was not impressed with either visit. I came for a pedi date with my cousin because I was given a gift card. She had a bad experience with the nail polish pooling in a big blob and she had to ask to have it fixed and they seemed annoyed. I had to return because I hadn't used the full amount on my giftcard. I brought my boyfriend this time and was excited because I had finally convinced him to get a pedi with me. Unfortunately it was extremely subpar. Pretty much no leg massage, I left feeling like my feet were dry and cracking instead of nicely moisturized. Our pedis were maybe 20minutes long, very rushed, poor quality. Even worse was I went to the restroom and gave my boyfriend the gift card to pay, and when we left, I realized that they hadn't even used the rest of the remaining gift card and had charged us full price. I used to go to their location in south Reno but it's a long drive so I decided to go to this location since it's closer to my house. The staff is very nice and always have openings even for walk-ins even if you have to wait 5-10 minutes. I go to Mimi the owner and she's very good. I feel like sometimes she's pretty rough with my nails but it's okay. I love glitter... always have, when I tell her I want a medium to long coffin shape pink glitter nails, she always tells me " I don't like glitter." So then she persuades me to get something different. That's the only issue I have is that I can't get glitter with her so I try to go with someone else for that. DO not go here!! I went to go for a pedicure with my grandma. I haven't touched my nails in months so the old polish was still on, I didn't notice she was cutting them so short because I was talking to my grandma, she used about two different clippers. It's time to do the color. I pick red for my french ti, tried it on the lines were so big it looked like half of my nail was supposed to be covered in red. She was trying so hard to convince me to just paint the whole nail, no I want French top so I make her try again with white and I'm finally just like sure I'll take it because the whole time she's saying " you cut your nails to short" . Went in on Thursday September 19 for a nail cut down and a fill in. I didn't have to wait and it wasn't busy so I didn't understand the rush job that was done when it came to polishing my nails. I am a licensed nail tech so I see errors and yes I did mention that to him. I'm out of town so yes I needed my nails done. When they were polished he didn't apply a base coat, applied the gel polish very thick and also didn't give me ample amount of drying time considering the thickness of the polish. Now by Saturday my polish was chipping on both hands! I don't tell people how to do their job but I will definitely let you know, I do what you do. Couple of things I pointed out to him while he was doing my nails he said "you have a good eye" which is what led me to tell him I do nails. Yet he still chose to half do them. The problem with nail technicians over booking is that they tend to rush the service which leads to a poor outcome. Upon filing my nails, she was going very fast and got the edges of my skin. For people that are sensitive with skin and bleed easy, it was painful. Sad to say at the end of my service, underneath my nails look very poor. I went in today for a manicure and pedicure. Really liked how my nails turned out and absolutely LOVE the color. The vibe is great, I always feel relaxed. I went in because i wanted to get a fresh set of acrylics for my birthday trip this weekend. The gentleman never shaved the goop down. He left a giant clump of the goo they put on top of my nails. They look as if someone stacked 50 nails on top of my nails. They are so hard to do anything with. I tried to let him know I saw an imperfection after he had put the tip of the nail on, but he got offended and said he wasn't done yet. I felt as though I had to keep my opinion to myself after that. He started painting them and sealing them in the uv light before he got my approval of the nails. This is the most unprofessional set of nails I have ever had in my life. Now I have to wait a few weeks to go back (to a different salon obviously) to get them fixed. My nails are throbbing because of how much goo is on top of them. Pretty disappointed. While we didn't make a reservation, we were walk-ins and asked if we could be seen. We were told no problem, 20 minutes. 20 minutes was definitely expected and doable so we stayed. Well in reality, 20 turned into 50. While others sipped on drinks and laughed, we sat in chairs with no water, thank goodness for their ability to massage! I guess I could have dealed with the misquoted wait time but when I finally got some attention, the water was ice cold without any sort of soap/bubble/etc. and to top it off, the pedicure lasted all but 15 minutes with a technician who was barely paying attention. My mom came to Reno to visit me and wanted to treat me to a pedicure. We were able to easily make an appointment. We get there and had to wait 15+ minutes, not too bad. We get seated in the pedicure massage chairs and we decided we would treat ourselves to the deluxe pedicure. 1. There was basically NO massage, probably not even 5 minutes and this was the DELUXE pedicure so I would expect a decent massage! The deluxe was $41. Regular spa pedicure is $31. 2. I have damaged big toes so I require acrylic powder whenever I get my toes done so I let the guy know and I thought he understood. He shaved it down and I expected him to redo the powder so it looks like I have normal nails...he went to start painting without redoing my powder and when we brought it up the lady doing my moms nails said "well why didn't you tell me?" ...you aren't doing my nails lady, this man is and I did tell him at the start of the pedicure! He ended up redoing the powder and I think he was really annoyed because he started talking to himself but I could not understand what he was saying. They also charged me $5 for each toe they did powder on and every place I've ever been before just does $5 total so I was charged $10 more for my two big toes. 3. Both of my big toes were cut and bleeding and I didn't even know until I was walking out the door. I've never gotten a pedicure and had my skin be cut from it. I've attached photos of the cuts. They hurt really bad now I've been putting Neosporin on them praying I don't get an infection. Moral of the story. Service sucked and now I'm worried about getting an infection read more

They are great for a quick walk in. The service here is friendly. Helen was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed her company. She helped me pick what I like and explained nail designs to me. My nails have been crazy for a year because of all the wiping of the counters at my job. She was a bit difficult to understand because of her accent but she was very nice so I didn't mind. Mostly I just didn't know there was a nail shape called coffin. My nails and toes turned out cute and she talked me into getting my brows waxed which was also great. Not to dramatic. This was nice me time and was very relaxing. There were a few things that were not so great. First she cut my cuticle with her grinder tool. I didn't even notice til I saw it bleeding cause it didn't hurt. Next, I did not notice wiping of the chairs or anything really. They did have us wash hands on the way in and wear masks. Also the job was super quick and very lovely but because it was quick I later noticed a few rough and a bit sloppy edges on the nails and cuticles. I have a love/hate relationship with this place. So I thought I'd write some pros and cons. Pros: Mimi is who I ALWAYS go to! She does fantastic work and is super friendly! The place is clean and abides to the Covid rules of wearing a mask and washing hands. Everyone is very nice and always greets you! They are also pretty great at putting you in for walk-ins. Had an appointment for Saturday but they were able to squeeze me in a few days prior. Cons: some other workers in this facility messed up my hands pretty badly. My hands would be bleeding a LOT and hurt for a few days after doing my nails. Of course they apologized and helped clean them up which I appreciated but it still sucked. They also didn't copy exactly as I wanted which is understandable but also my fault as I didn't correct them cause I just wanted to leave after the bleeding happened. Also if you make an appointment for a certain time, chances are that even if you get there early or on time, you still wait 30-45 minutes. Luckily I'm never in a rush at that time. There is no way these people went through school and are licensed. Two movement massage, which she nearly forgot. Two movement hot stones, also nearly forgotten. Cuticles and foot scrub definitely did not do the job. My nails are craggy and uneven, paint is very sloppy and all over my toes. I was also charged an extra $5 for not choosing the gel polish (which is $15 extra)?! Why not just include the polish in the regular price? After a quick search for a nail salon close to where I'm staying I found Legends. I easily made an appointment via the Yelp app. I arrived and noticed all of the extra safety measures they had taken for corona. Everyone entering was required to wear a mask. They were accepting appointments only and were seating us every one or two seats for pedicures. I'm thankful for all this extra hard work even though I do not fall into an at risk category. The aesthetic was elegant and different than what I am used to. Upside down umbrellas were hung as decor. So neat! I came for a gel pedicure. The gentleman who did mine did a fantastic job. Made an appointment day of for a pedicure. I did have to wait a couple minutes for my chair to be set up, but I didn't really mind that. The establishment itself has a very calming atmosphere, from the cleanliness to the relaxing music. I love that they played "spa" music instead of the radio. They also had a large selection of colors that I looked through, even though I always get white on my toes. Also, they kept their doors open meaning that the typical salon smell was being aired out. This is perfect for anyone that dislikes that smell! As for the service itself, Henry did the Deluxe Pedicure and his customer service was amazing! He was very detailed and made sure that I was happy as the pedicure went along. The scrub, hot towels, and hot stones were just what I needed. Let me start with apologizing for the gross pictures, but I wanted to provide a visual of what this place did to my feet. I brushed off the recent reviews as a fluke and decided to take my mom here. Our usual place was booked, and we both needed pedicures. My mom and I were seated and for at least 5 minutes we had no water to soak out feet. When the lady came to do my nails she finally gave me some water, but there was no foot soaking involved before she started. My mom had to wait something like 10 more minutes for her lady to come in to work and start. As a result, they rushed her pedicure to catch up to mine. The callus remover liquid they used on my feet burned and took chunks out of my feet (see pictures). It damaged the top of my foot as well; that's not some weird scratching. It's where the liquid burned. The pictures are taken 2 days after the pedicure. So it was not just some temporary discomfort. This is real damage to my feet that I'm now trying to make sure do not get infected. My nails were cut so short that when the lady tried to file, she was filing my skin not the nail. When she realized what she was doing she stopped and did not attempt to file any other nail. And while I like my nails short, there is such a thing as too short. Every time she tried to talk to me, it was like she waited for some nearby nail grinder to go. And would get angry at me when I couldn't hear here. I don't mind if there is a language barrier but I can't do anything about answering someone if I just flat out can't hear them; which I tried to communicate with her. And everytime she got angry, she got rough with my feet. I have been getting pedicures for over 10 years and been to multiple places. Never have I had something used burn, nor had so much damage go my feet after going. So this was not a case of bad feet going in. And while the facility itself was clean. I don't know if the part they attach to the basin for the jet was. My lady took it out a drawer and put it right back in when she was done....not sure if that's getting cleaned. I would not recommend this to any one, no matter how bad you need work down. Wait for somewhere else to have time. read more

I had been coming here for about two years and seeing Kathy. However, I had the unfortunate event of getting stuck with Mimi, whom wouldn't even tell me her name. She is supposedly the shop owner. She's a huge asshole with very negative energy. She is down right mean. I didn't even complete my services. I just did a polish change on my hands, paid, and left. She was that awful. A very kind man, that was working the front desk, asked me if he could speak to me outside. He apologized for Mimi's behavior and said that she was "having a bad day." Mimi was mean, unprofessional and just downright hateful. Although I like Kathy, I will never return. That's how bad Mimi made me feel. I'm still pretty shook up just from how unkind and hateful that she was. I hope that no one ever feels like this while they are getting a pampering service or at all.
