BETTER BUZZ @ PACIFIC BEACH This location mainly has street parking. There may be parking in the shopping center lot, but I'm not completely sure if it's designated for Better Buzz customers, and Pacific Beach is known for towing cars that park in private lots without permission. Because of that, I'd personally recommend sticking with street parking to avoid any issues. I really like this Better Buzz location because it has a rooftop seating area upstairs, which not many people seem to mention. It's a great place to hang out, enjoy your coffee, or relax for a bit. My only complaint is that there aren't many outlets upstairs, so if you're planning to get work done and your laptop battery doesn't last very long, it can be a little inconvenient. My go-to order is the Caramel Vanilla Latte, which is easily one of my favorite drinks here. They also have a great food selection, including açaí bowls and avocado toast, if you're looking for something to eat with your coffee. The staff has always been super friendly, and I really enjoy the overall ambiance of this location. It's right by the beach, making it the perfect coffee shop to stop at before or after spending time in Pacific Beach. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. read more

I had such a great experience at Better Buzz Coffee Roasters today. The coffee was amazing as always, but the service really made the visit stand out. Megan helped me and she was incredibly friendly, patient, and just genuinely kind. You can tell she cares about the customers and takes pride in what she's doing. She made the whole experience feel welcoming and easy, which honestly makes such a difference when you're grabbing coffee. I walked to this Better Buzz location a lot during our stay in the area, and it quickly became a favorite. Such a fun, well-run spot. The cinnamon cream cold brew is incredible and was my go-to. I also loved the miso salted caramel latte, which is unique and really well balanced. Coffee here is consistently great, and they have a solid food menu too with options like acai bowls, smoothies, and avocado toast. The space is bright, clean, and welcoming. There's a drive-through for convenience and a rooftop seating area, which makes it a great place to hang out and enjoy the PB vibe. Service was excellent every time. The staff is genuinely nice, helpful, and makes the experience even better. Overall, a great coffee shop with awesome drinks, good food options, and a fun atmosphere. Yum! We walked to this location during our stay at Mission Beach while we were out and about exploring the area. I ordered the coconut sugar protein latte (which may have been a temporary option) and my husband ordered the Horchata Latte. The coconut sugar latte was a great option for someone like me who usually needs to resort to a sugar-free option. It obviously is not sugar-free, but it was not as sweet as regular lattes and didn't spike my blood sugar, so win-win. The Horchata Latte was a win for my husband. He loved it and was disappointed that they didn't have it at the airport location. The space is bright and clean and service was great. read more

I generally like Better Buzz. But I do think their drinks are really sweet. If I come here, I would be treating myself. This location in Pacific Beach has a drive thru. It's next to Taco Bell, but you can't get there from the parking lot. I like that they have convenient online ordering. The matcha latte is just ok. I would stick to their coffee drinks. First time at a better buzz, I went to a different location at first and they didn't take my order at that menu and they either made me drink wrong or I got the wrong drink. I went to this location to get it remade and went straight to the window by mistake. Lady who took my order was nice but lady who handed me my drink was passive aggressive and I could see right through it. I appreciate them for remaking it but the passive aggression and attitude wasn't needed. I hope her day gets better. read more

Visiting this Better Buzz was pretty rough. There were 2-3 sketchy people posted up right outside the front door, and there was a very loud displaced man inside who had scattered his belongings around the lobby. The barista was rude and very dismissive while we ordered, and practically shoved our drinks to us when they were finished. The only highlight of the visit, was the killer view from the upstairs patio. The drinks were decent, but definitely got effected by the ambiance of the cafe. I give a little benefit of the doubt to the barista for his attitude and everything to the circumstances we walked into, but I'll be sticking to the drive-thru if I visit this location again. read more

I'm a fan of Better Buzz! We come down to San Diego for the holidays every year, and that's usually the only time we get to have it. The coffee is great quality, and they have lots of options for different types of coffees, tea, smoothies, and more! There are a handful of warm breakfast options such as wraps, sandwiches, croissants, avocado toast, and also fresh pastries! They do fun and delicious season flavors during the holidays, with flavors you'd expect like peppermint and gingerbread, but also less common flavors such as eggnog and snickerdoodle! This year they have a few combos like peppermint white mocha, and peppermint matcha! We've tried a few food items over the years, and have always enjoyed them. They make the breakfast items fresh, so there is some room for customization. They sell branded merch and various coffee products in the store (beans, pods, vanilla powder). The store is clean, and the staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I've been to every Better Buzz in SoCal. The Grand Street location in Pacific Beach is one of my favorites. The customer service is always amazing. They remember regulars and make you feel right at home. Today, I ordered my usual and I didn't even get four steps into the building before I was greeted by Josh at the register. The coffee was excellent per usual, and the chocolate chip banana bread was delicious as always. Josh and the rest of the staff got my Friday off to a great start. The district manger Yanai replied to my review giving me her email for me to connect wit her directly to make this right. Well guess what, just like I never received that refund from the store, I never got a reply from Yanai to "make things right" what was your point of even replying to my review? To make people think you would make it right when you had zero intention's of following through with your word? This is the most ridiculously, unethical business establishment I've ever come across in my life. If you've been to this establishment and were owed a refund, check to make sure they gave it to you, because believe me, you can't take their word for it. And don't try to say you never got my email cause just like my refund I was supposed to get, I checked, double checked and triple checked that the email spelling was correct and went through. Zero stars for the company with the least integrity. For those of you in the PB area there's a new coffee shop that just opened that I highly recommend. It's close to the freeway, they open at 5am, they have a drive-thru, and their coffee is really good.
