Love love love this new addition to the streets of Encinitas! Even when it's crowded the Better Buzz employees make sure everyone gets their buzz on! I'm a big chai latte fan and theirs was one of the best I've had; very creamy, not too spicy, and mixed right there in front of me (not like at Starbucks where they just pour it out of a carton). My new favorite coffee place in downtown Encinitas. Great selection of coffee, teas and menu and baked good I tems. I love the vibe of the place. Despite a very long weekend line, the service was quick. Everyone in our group loved their drinks - from regular ice coffee; hot latte; Dirty Chai and Best Drink Ever. We took ours to go and went down to the beach to chill as all the seats were taken with those eating breakfast. But glancing at the food, I definitely must come back for breakfast, lunch or even a snack. read more

Great ambiance - great coffee- the checkout is beyond slow especially with one register considering the volume this place gets. It would be of great service to their customers to get a second checkout and have them both going at the same time. I've actually seen people leave the line half-way through because it's has taken way longer than expected. read more

Delicious mochas (hot or cold), but sadly never anyplace to sit because all the seats are taken for hours and hours by people who have come to use the Wi-fi there. We go there often and no matter what time of day it is, the place is crowded with no seats available. They have delicious sandwiches, too, the caprese being my all time favorite. I'd give it more stars though if I didn't always have to sit out in the parking lot in my car to eat my sandwich and drink my amazing cup of coffee. read more

I was really excited to try this place- read the great reviews and heard good things from coworkers- I almost wish I had just gone to Starbucks. The ambience is great and the staff is extremely friendly but the coffee is not very good. Since this was my first time I asked what the most popular was and mentioned that I only liked a little sweet, usually get half sweet at Starbucks. The barista was super friendly and recommended the honey latte... Which is pure syrup. I tried to give it to coworkers, one sip and no one wanted it. I even tried dumping 3/4 of it out and adding a full cup of coffee and it STILL tasted like pure sugar. Yuck. Had to dump the entire $6 drink out. Won't be back. On a more positive note I also tried the acai bowl which was good. For friendly staff and half of my order edible- 3 stars! read more

The place is cute, trendy, spacious, and full of life! Everyone seems to have their MAC books on the coffee table, that or having a business meeting... whatever the case, when we arrived it was just so loud and busy and high energy. The coffee counter is located in the back/center area, which was different, and there were tables all around us so it was crowded. I felt like I was always in someone's personal space while standing there waiting for my coffee. I didn't really enjoy this place much because its just too loud for me, but to be fair, the coffee was good and it was a nice clean environment. read more

Their custom Drinks are Way TOO Sugary. Their customers are steady, but they seem to live there. They arrive and never leave. People that are drawn there are often times not the people you would like to hang out with: Loud, obnoxious, rude. The place is noisy. Their best thing is their Kombuchas, but really....It is supposed to be a coffee place, so what is up with that. In my opinion, it is more the CRAZE than anything else. It is pretty inside, I'll give them that...IF you can find a seat. Also, their avocado on toast is pretty terrific. That is why I don't give the place a 2 star. read more

I loved the look of this place! I had high hopes for the coffee. My sister and I got an Americano and it was the worst I have ever had-I hate to say it! I didn't even put cream or sugar in it. This is the best coffee shop in Encinitas' Main Street with so many great options. Yes the lines can be long, but I've never waited more than five minutes for my coffee. The tables are usually full but just don't plan on trying to work in a small place, there is a great outdoor mall across the street where you can take your coffee and work, or walk around the main street. I visit Better Buzz multiple times every year when I visit Encinitas, and buy their Vanilla Powder they use in the "Best Drink Ever" and use it at home. A must try when visiting! read more

Coffee and breakfast was delicious! Just some issues with ordering and service, however. Boyfriend and I ordered 2 drinks with some modifications as well as a couple breakfast and bakery items. Order placed online. Our total was $39.42. When my bf went to pick up our order, he got to the car when he realized they forgot my drink entirely. We had already paid for it, so he ran back inside to realize they had given it to the person in front of him. They remade it no issue when he showed our receipt, but upon reviewing our receipt again, they also made the 2nd drink a regular [small] when we paid for a large. We paid $9.40 for that drink so it would've been nice to get the size we ordered. They also didn't include napkins, cutlery or straws. We had ordered 2 bacon ciabatta sandwiches w chipotle aoli on the side and 2 sides of dressed arugula so napkins and a fork would've been nice. Both of our drinks were thick and really needed straws so we stopped at a 7-11 nearby to grab 2 slurpee straws. Pastry items were both cold too. For $40 I would've expected my pastry items to be warm, straws in our drinks, and napkins for our greasy sandwiches. Prob won't come to this location again read more

Coffee is amazing but the wait is atrocious. So I made the mistake of coming on a Saturday morning at 10:30. And although I count 3 people behind the counter making coffee and 1 taking orders, my single cup of coffee took 20 minutes. encinitas location sports a great decor. Feel like I'm introspective there. Love it. I can only speak to the decaf because that's all I drink. They would not make me a decaf pour over. Why not I wonder. They offer pour overs in regular coffee. So I laid out $4 for a decaf Americano. It was not very good. Weak flavor. The decaf at Coco's is better.
