I was visiting a friend in Seattle and I had seen this place featured on Man vs Food, so I said we should check it out. I got the 6 egg Southwestern Exposure omelet and it was amazing. I wasn't able to finish it in one sitting much to my dismay, but it was a great snack a day or so later. I found the hash browns to be perfect and the toast was also tasty. Also crayons and paper at your disposal!!! I can't wait to go back. read more

3-9-13. Saturday morning at Beth's. It is always packed and today is no exception. The big 6 egg Omelettes are killer, hash browns done to your liking. Lady Lorilei is a waffle affecinatto, she is one pleased foodie with the straberries and lucious whipped cream. A bi-monthy trip down from Lk.Stevens. Fun for art fans and people watchers. read more

This place is outstanding, great staff, very reasonably priced, excellent food, to include pancakes as big as hubcaps, sausage the size of hotdogs and corn beef hash to die for...if I lived here this would be the only place for breakfast. Chris D. feel free to use it. read more

Well, I guess if you're bored late at night and nothing else is open then this place is the "hangout" spot? It Is SO dirty in there...the floor looks disgusting and the cooks don't even wear gloves! Yeah you get a big portion of food but my god, hygiene in that place is awful! I once saw a cook rub his nose WHILE cooking! So gross! There's a lady that works there that looks like she could be my mother-why the hell does she have to freaking MEOW every time she's coming around a corner?!?!?! Be professional and say DOOR, anything but MEOW so stupid. Rant over read more

There are some places you go because they are from your formidable years. Your years of self discovery. Late nights with friends and coffee. Pinball and jukeboxes. A place you can call yours and where you always feel welcome regardless of who is working, new employees, old employees, and the odd or even regular. Beth's is that place. Once on Food Network's Man vs Food for it's 12 egg omelette, this unlimited hash browns establishment is one of the few things that remain from a well spent youth. With what I would describe as Crowd Sourced Wallpaper, all of Beth's is decorated with the scribbles, sketches, and sometimes spectacular works of art drawn by the patrons with provided crayons and paper. A juke box and a 24 hour door round this place out as one of the best things you could do any time of day. The food is exactly what you would expect from a greasy spoon diner. Well cooked food. Great options. Large tables. But watch out for the waitlist. Busy weekend nights and mornings can lead to very long wait times. But as one of the last bastions of the 24 dive and one of the closest places to my heart, I will make this a place to go every time I return to Seattle. This is a No Pretense establishment. Don't expect special treatment. Be aware of how busy it is. The waitstaff is incredible as long as you are not regrettable. read more

There wasn't a line as I expected, and the omelet was delicious! i loved how they put it on top of the hash browns. Nice and buttery! Come join it, and you'll certainly realize that your eyes are bigger than your stomach. Kudos to those who can actually finish it! But I suggest bringing a friend or two! read more

First time goer here, we went New Years morning. I was with a group of three when we arrived it was starting to get busy so we had about a 15-20 minute wait, which wasn't bad, the only down side is you have to wait outside because the cafe is so small and it was cold outside. We all split one of the 12 egg omelettes and all you can eat hash browns. Both were delicious and pretty decent quality for diner/cafe food. The walls are filled with drawings from people. You can ask for paper and crayons and draw your own picture and have it hung up on the wall. It's pretty fun. The service was good, no complaints in that area. Overall my experience here was good. read more

I was physically threatened by a person who worked here named CJ who threatened to steal my dog multiple times, threatened me, and called me an entitled little b*tch and c*nt multiple times (he also said I had never been discriminated against because I didn't have tattoos even though I do have tattoos?? It was super weird). The meal ended up getting comped, but the person who identified himself as the manager pretended he didn't hear the threat to my physics safety. I made a police report against the two men because they threatened me multiple times. The meal ended up getting comped and I left a tip because the server was kind enough to comp it. But yea, a business should never operate in a way that I could make a police report against an employee and the person who said he was the manager egged his employee on. Both deserve to be fired for the way they acted. read more

It's better to come here in the day time. Once we came at night and couldn't find a place to sit, also the guys were not very friendly. Despite of bad experience I decided to give it another shot and came for lunch. The Makin bacon with 6 eggs omelette was gorgeous!!! I asked for salad instead of hash (I try to keep it keto friendly , meening-no carbs) and got a huuuge plate of lettuce with dressing on the side. The waiter was very attentive and all the time was asking me if everything is ok) Great place! read more

The servers aren't there to be your friend. And that's part of the charm. Beth's feels as much like a dive-bar as you could possibly get, and the rough-and-tumble feel of it is nice for a good casual meal. The shakes are wonderful and very filling, and the portion sizes are absolutely to die for. Open 24 hours you can always count on Beth's to open when nothing else is. The prices are perfectly reasonable and reflect the size of the portions, but I definitely wouldn't call it cheap. I go here regularly for some food for 2 and theres always space but it's never empty read more

This was my first time eating at Beth's and it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in Seattle. It's no gourmet eatery, but it has charm and great dishes. I tried the triple bypass omelet and I was not disappointed. The server who helped our table was nice and the food was brought out very quick and it was hot and tasty looking. The atmosphere is great and gives a good Seattle feel, kind of grungey but inviting. I will be back to Beth's for many more breakfasts! read more

The food here is on the edge of heaven! True; what makes it SO good are the flavors based on the goodness of dairy fresh eggs, thick creamy gravy, farm fresh cheeses and hash browns wallowing in deliciousness cooked in a well seasoned pan. Parking is very convenient directly on the street in front if the restaurant. We arrived with a party of 5 and were immediately seated in a large booth well suited for more. The server gave us menus and quickly got our drink order. Best of all, she have us crayons and paper for our own original wall art that abounds on every square inch of the establishment. The food was ABUNDANT beyond belief. Every portion was huge. The hash browns are endless, but there is no way anyone can eat more than the original serving. The salmon omelet (6 eggs!) was delicious with mounds of salmon and creamery cheese. The gravy was thick and hearty with sausage pieces. This is the 3rd time I have been here, but it gets better every time. Open 24 hours for the late night crowd too. A must in Seattle, very easy to get to on the bus line as well, I saw several stop right in front of the restaurant. read more

WOW! I can't believe I've lived in Seattle 14 years and never been here. I've definitely heard about it from friends, seen it on tv. All that changed last Saturday. I was wasting time waiting on the Husband so I stopped in. It was around 930 on a Saturday and I was seated quickly with a cup of coffee. The menu has the huge and huger omelettes of course. I settled on 2 pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The pancakes were huge as well, couldn't finish them. The eggs were cooked just how I asked, can't really screw those up. I still dream about the 4 pieces of amazingly tasty and thick bacon. I can't wait for my next visit. Service was a little slow. They weren't that busy and there were a few of them. read more

The best food there is when you're out late or drunk or studying for finals. The omelet is moist and flavorful. The hashbrown is sooo buttery, although I suggest ordering it extra crispy if you like some crunchiness. Most main entrees come with unlimited hashbrown, so there's a $1.50 surcharge if you want to share. The coffee is decent. And they have a decent selection of hot sauce for an American diner. Service is friendly and I love to look at the pictures on the wall. They range from amusing to funny to I don't know what the heck is that. Also, did I mention they have a super cool looking jukebox? read more

Good bacon, good food, nice staff, open 24 hours, but not very clean .but its kind of part of the vibe, I think. It had a 20 minute wait and constant stream of people. Ordered the Country Benedicts and a side of the Corn Beef Hash. Both were tasty, especially the corn beef hash, so will order that next time. The Country Benedicts was great too with the sausage patty and the hash browns were cooked to perfection. The sauce on the benedicts was just right, not too thick or too runny. Will be back for sure, keep up the great work on keeping the food delicious! read more

A great crazy remnant of old Seattle. Open late at night , this no frills joint serves up satisfying breakfast any time. Crayon drawings of all skill sets adorn the walls. A dude in a kilt with a neck tattoo might be your waiter, and if you dare to order decaf, a small dinosaur will appear on the table to mark/ shame you. A great place. read more

This place is a'aight. Didn't live up to the hype to me. They have classic hangover breakfast food and huge portion options if you're the competitive eater-type. I didn't feel like the "6-egg" omelettes really had that much egg...weird. We ordered them with the intention of having breakfast for the rest of the week, but were pretty disappointed when we ran out after one day of leftover breakfast. Plenty of filling wrapped up burrito-style on a tiny bed of mushy, oily hashbrowns. Gross and disappointing hashbrowns. Good coffee, but like $3 a cup? For two people...2 cups of coffee and two omelettes that didn't seem any bigger than any other breakfast place I've been to: $38...plus tip. There are too many other places in the city that I'd rather go than to come back here. read more

Their customer service is top notch when I went there in April or May of 2018 and on top of it their food was delicious to every bite. The biscuits were nice and buttery and the jam was homemade and tasted homemade. The omelette I shared with the other person in my party was absolutely scrumptious. And while places like Sharis and Denny's are known for not having great coffee this place had absolutely really good coffee. I do wish I can go back there again and thinking about doing so by myself read more

Beth's Cafe is the ultimate dive cafe. If there were a Seattle "dive" Mt. Rushmore, Beth's would be up there - that's not to say that it isn't cool nor that the food is bad, it's just to say that it's a dive. The walls are littered with tons and tons of drawings, some cute and some "abstract." It's not the cleanest place in the world either - but it's not disgusting either. It's a drive. Anyway... I came here for the 12-egg omelette, because of Man vs Food, so my experience was largely shaped by that. The omelette was good. You can see that the eggs are fresh, because they've got a mountain of eggs behind the kitchen that are constantly being cracked. There was a decent amount of flavor. I got the meat omelette, which in retrospect was a stupid idea, because the longer I took to eat the omelette the colder the "grease" would get. So it wasn't too appetizing later on. Early on though... the omelette was pretty good. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the meat was good. Nothing special. It was a solid, basic, omelette. I enjoyed it. The hash browns are crispy, but nothing terribly exciting and the toast is toast. It serves good food. I'd have to go back and not do the food challenge. (Which I did finish) and just try and enjoy the food for what it's worth. There are better breakfast joints in the area, but Beth's isn't bad - it's a good choice if you're in the area and don't mind a wait (depending on when you go) -- probably not worth a 30+ minute wait though. read more

Beth's is an amazing place in a way. Great service and good diner food. That said this place should be shut down for it's total lack of cleanliness. We sat eating a really good breakfast watching visable dirt coming out of the heat vent. Near the dirtiest restroom in Seattle is another heat vent with huge black dirt all over the ceiling. The counter that holds up the coffee station is rotten with what looks like black mold all over it. Who owns this place? It wouldn't even take that much money to properly clean it and make a few repairs and paint. Come on Beth's clean your shit up! Your peeps and menu is too good for this kind of yuck. I don't know why the Seattle health dept. allows you to operate. Too bad to because your super cool history shouldn't end because some customer calls the city on your crap. GET CLEAN. I visited this restaurant last week for having a brunch with my friend. When I entered, the server asked me to wait in the waiting room, which is located right in front of opened restroom... Then, I got served water after having a seat and there was a sth in side of water..like small red powder. Then, I saw a food trash bin located in the middle of the hall. Ugh, I hate to give such a crappy review, but... went here tonight for "breakfast for dinner". I have quite the mixed feelings. Was promptly greeted by a male manager, nice guy. We had to sit in the depressing, dark, and dirty "waiting room" for about 5-7 mins. We finally got our table around 7:55 pm and our server didn't even acknowledge us until 8:17.... 22 minutes before we could even order A SODA. She could've at least said "I'll be right with you" since she had so much time to eat her dinner and talk to other tables. Anyways, we finally ordered (we both ordered country fried steak). The ONLY thing that WASN'T disappointing was the hashbrowns (though a 3 year old could make them). The steak was SO over cooked and hard to cut (brought it home for my dog). Gravy was decent. Patty's Eggnest is definitely a more quality breakfast joint. Our server never checked back (literally not once in 30 mins) to see how our food came out or if we needed anything, blah blah blah. Nada. Anyways, for $32 I would've expected more quality food and certainly more attentiveness. Not to mention it took almost 55 mins from the time we sat down to get our food. I probably won't be back just to waste my money on food I could easily make at home for $5. Thank god for the cook who took a weed break in the middle of our visit- he was entertaining and gave us something to enjoy, instead of the depressing & divey walls & lighting. read more

Beth's Cafe came highly recommended from several friends, not to mention "Man vs Food". It's really not for me though. True, the portion sizes are ginormous. You get a lot to look at while you wait with the walls festooned with customer's crayon art. The ambiance is definitely on the deeper end of divey. The Southwestern exposure surprised me with it's blandness. Buy a carton of eggs, a can of Rotel and chili from up the street and make your own. Their biscuits and gravy were pretty underwhelming too. Runny gravy and flavorless biscuits lacking that special something. Endless hashbrowns are pretty sweet though, and I can't bring myself to complain about that. After all is said and done, Beth's seems to go for quantity over quality. Maybe I should try again after putting on some beer goggles. read more

This place is a staple. But to be honest, I just wasn't feeling it. I came in by myself because I had pulled an all nighter studying and sat down at the counter because the line was out the door. Thank god I was by myself because apparently it's the only way they allow you to sit at the counter. Within a few min of sitting down, I was interrogated by two different waitresses about weather or not I knew the guy who was sitting in the seat next to mine that was already in the restaurant when I arrived. I felt like I had to sit quietly without talking to anyone for fear of being kicked out. Apparently friendly people are not welcome at the counter without be subjected to having to prove their relationship, or lack there of, to the people sitting next to them, multiple times. It was super awkward. In addition, the food was gross. And I don't mean in general. I mean, for diner food, I thought it was gross. And the main reason for this was because of the above average amount of grease that all of my food was setting in. There was literally a pool of grease at the bottom of my plate and it really just made my food completely unappetizing to the point that I only ate about 1/3rd of it before I just couldn't bring myself to eat anymore. I'm not sure what the hype is about this place. There are other diners that are far less crowded, with better food and better service. I think my favorite part about this place is def the coloring. I love restaurants that encourage arting. read more

This is my favorite place to get late night breakfast. It has a hometown diner feel unlike most of the places in North Seattle. When pretty much everything else is closed, you can always count on Beth's to be waiting with open arms to feed you. I love love love their breakfasts, not as big of a fan of lunch/dinner options. One of my favorite things about this place is the artwork, it's covered in crayon drawings from anyone and everyone, and you can make some too!
