Do not do business with this online retailer. They advertised a pool/spa relay as Pentair, including Pentair part number in the header description so I ordered it. It was not a Pentair part. When I complained, they stated that it was "advertised" correctly and pointed out another descriptor 4 pages down that said "Made by Intermatic." The relay sent to me was by yet a third brand, called OMRON, who has no affiliation with Pentair or Intermatic. I requested an RMA and a refund but I had to pay for the return USPS shipping cost of $5.60. They withheld a 20% restocking fee, $6.60, from the refund, even though they did not even send me the part they thought they had advertised. They refused to budge on the restocking withhold and I had to make a claim through Amazon Pay guarantee, who granted me the cost of return shipping and the 20% withhold fee. The retailer then blocked my access to their website, as evidenced by easy access from two other networks. How is that for a business model! read more

Outstanding service and communication from this business. I ordered a lower pool filter, in hopes I could save my failed filter. It was over sized and arrived in 2 days. I ended up not using it and returned it. I was unaware of their restocking fee and also had to pay to send it back unused. Lesson learned know what you are buying, returns are very costly. I then purchased a back wash valve from them. This took over a week to receive. Not their fault but just slow postal service. The part fit perfectly. Bottom line, good experience and quality parts. I have mixed feelings about this company, but I'll go ahead and leave it 5 stars anyway. I needed a complete filter element for my hayward filter, but I wanted to buy it locally. I found it at Best Pool Shop and after doing some research, I decided to buy it from them. I was also thinking about just buying a whole new filter and be done with it, so I started asking questions thru chat (Vinny answered, I think). He answer a few of my questions, but eventually said "Just come into the store and we'll help you". OK, fine, but exactly at that point, I was locked out of their web site. After being locked out for 2 days, I decided to access it from somewhere else and got right in. I purchased the filter element, it came in 1 day! Very happy with it, but they could have sold me a whole new filter had they not black balled my IP address. Oh well, there blackball saved me $1000. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I purchased a Flow Switch from their online store. Part arrived, all was good, I carefully followed all instructions and tenderly installed the part. No problem. Turned on the pool motor and the salt system indicated all is fine... for a few days. Then got the same old error code 'FLO'. Thinking, no problem, I emailed the shop and asked what to do and was told to have the 'licensed technician' that installed the part contact the manufacturer. I responded I installed it DIY, now what? They responded in repeat fashion but, I installed it to the directions that came with the part.... no mention in the instructions or on their sales website that a licensed technician was required to honor the warranty or install the part. Made no difference, the EXTREMELY RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS OWNER argued with me, talked over me, yelled at me, used foul and abusive language (to which I did not respond in kind), and completely refused to accept any responsibility for failure to inform customers of the 'professional technician' requirement. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT MAY FAIL from this shop. Read all negative reviews and the owner's response (if any). The dissatisfaction is consistent!!! read more

I ordered a new lid for my pool pump and ordered what from the description on the Best pool shop site said would fit...after waiting a long time to finally get the product I put it side by side with my old lid and found that it was way too small. I then contacted best pool shop to ask that the send me an RMA label in order for me to return their product. I did get the RMA and returned the UNUSED product at a cost of $10.80. A week later I got an email from best pool shop stating that they would only Partially refund my purchase price because I ordered the wrong item(and they did not even suggest what the correct item might be!). Additionally, they Refused to reimburse me for the Postage I paid to Return their product!! So it cost me money to order and return a part from Best Pool shop that didn't fit!! I contacted INYO POOL SUPPLY who suggested which part I should order and THEY were Correct!! Best Pool Shop has lost any and all business from me and my contacts!!! read more

worst experience ever! sent my cheap pool chemicals with signature requirement.... so i had to miss a day of work to buy their pool chemicals? on what planet does this make sense.... worse decision to use this company ever! do not buy from them unless you want to stay home for days waiting for your items to come so you can sign in person! i saved 2 dollars from buying it local, and i spent 2 days at home sitting waiting for the door bell to ring! does this make sense....no! don't buy from them (oh, yeah....they put in the tiny fine print that i nor anyone would ever see, nor did i see it, that your order 'may need to be signed for'....if you saw that ....wouldn't you think that meant someting valuable...like a pool pump ....not some cheap couple dollar pool chemicals????) and when you don't skip work or stay home from your planned vacation to get your pool chemicals.....they charge you if it is shipped back to them. what a horrible system and company! never never never again! read more

I have a Pentair pool filter with push pull valve piston with handle which started to leak from the handle. I called Best pool Shop in Pasadena California for advice and to see if they have a replacement handle. I was told to order part number 263055, and to order it from their website. The person I spoke to was in a rush and it felt he didn't want to talk much. I ordered the part from their website. I received the item and when I tried to install it did not fit. I took the item back to the store and spoke to Rudy about the wrong item I received. I was told that I need to come back in 4 days to speak to the owner of the shop Vartan. I am about 25 miles away from the shop, so on Monday morning I called and spoke to Vartan and he said to come down to the shop and he will take care of the problem. So when I got to the shop the first thing Vartan said is that there is a 20% restocking charge. But I explained to him that they shipped me the wrong item based on their advice. Vartan is a very snobbish and have no customer service manners. I told him I did not want to return the item I just wanted the exchange for the correct part and I would pay the price difference. He said no you have to return the item by going to the website and do a return request. He was fixated on the restocking fee and wanted to charge me the 20% restocking fee. Vartan said that I had to pay full price for the new item. Terrible place to do business with and absolutely unfriendly customer service. read more
