The staff is friendly, and they have decent selection of quality stone to choose from. My hangup is they won't open a new pallet for you to pick through until the already opened one is empty. But the open pallet has already been picked through and there aren't great pieces left. This is really annoying when you're trying to get pieces that look cohesive and match. If you're doing a big project where the pieces can be mismatched over a larger area I guess it's fine. Does not cater to smaller residential projects needs. read more

Initially very good experience. They were knowledgeable, gave samples, returned phone calls and delivered the material on the day promised. Price is high, but I accepted that for the service. Unfortunately they only delivered 2/3 of what I paid for. The material was quoted by their staff at 3000 pounds per yard. On-line calculators also estimate 3000 pounds per yard. I ordered and paid for 3 yards. However, I weighed the material as I moved it. 102 buckets, each bucket weighed 55-60 pounds (average 58). Total weight ~6000 pounds, not the ~9000 pounds I paid for. I called to inquire and the company representative said I could buy more. I pointed out that either the material weighs 2000 pounds per yard, contrary to their own estimates, or they only delivered 2 yards. Obviously it was the latter. Although the first two people I spoke with were unable to fix the problem, the manager (John) contacted me to address the concern. It's unfortunate that I initially got only 2/3 of what I paid for, but I really appreciate that they are willing to fix it. read more

I live nearby and appreciate that they are open. It's a clean yard and they have a very friendly person at the counter that helped me think through my plans. A couple of things to consider and why I took one star off: they are limited on items they have in stock, usually take a week or so to get your items, it's pricier than yards closer to the valley, they sell items in bulk bags and by the yard, bulk bags are pricier. read more

I wish I didn't have to leave this review because they have really great materials here but the person I just interacted with was extremely rude AND insisted that he was correct while mansplaining with incorrect information. He argued with me that plaster sand is rough large grain construction sand, not fine. He also told me polymeric sand was the only possible option to use between pavers and that I had to apply it wet. Even 5 seconds of research will prove otherwise. Rude and wrong, I left without buying anything based on that interaction. I'll come back another time when someone else is working. read more

I was greeted with, "we're closing right now" or some such statement. Not nice. It was my third time trying to shop here. The posted hours, both online and even there at the yard, aren't correct, and even though one of my many calls was answered, the actual hours weren't mentioned (other than for one day of the week which was not the day I could go). Perhaps fix that and mention them on the outgoing message? How am I supposed to know when they were closing? I was able to shop, for a very few minutes, but though I was given some help, it wasn't much, and with a wrist that's healing from being broken a couple months ago, it was not easy. Luckily, I won't be needing anything else there, and if I do need what they have, I'll go elsewhere. Yes, I found some of what I wanted, but I didn't see anything all that interesting or unusual or special there. read more

I didn't ask for a refund and was told they don't have the "resources" to haul it away. How about the truck you brought it in? Go somewhere else where they actually want your business. read more

This is the perfect place for your landscaping needs! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable & helpful. They were patient with all of my questions & helped me to make the best choices for my project. They can source a lot of product so even if it's not carried in the yard regularly, always check with the guys in the office to see if it can be ordered. They regularly carry the quality bread and butter items you'd want for any landscaping project, from flagstone to over 15 different decorative rocks/pebbles. They also have bulk options on some key items used in most projects, whether big or small, such as gravel, mulch, topsoil, compost, decomposed granite, sand, and 50/50 concrete mix. Need to acknowledge the great service that I received from the guys at Stone yard. Matthew was so patient and helped me selected the right landscaping boulders and they look perfect. Dustin made sure that I was aware of how the boulders will be delivered onto my property, which thank goodness, I didn't have to spend extra money for this service. He gave me the information involuntarily, which was so helpful for me. Then Tony & Jerry were the delivery guys who handled the placement of these boulders and Tony went over and beyond to help me. 2.5 stars. I'm here on a weekend and there are 5 customers outside, waiting, as patiently as possible, for the one (yes one!) employee to help us on this painfully hot day. There are 2 employees inside the air conditioned office. One is watching YouTube videos and the other is playing with his phone. I asked them both for help outside (with choosing stone) and they told me that it's not their job to work outside. So I'm now outside again waiting in the oppressive heat for the single employee to be available. There are 6 other customers waiting with me. Is this for real?! read more

Hate going to Places like this; seems like everyone's always doing something "employees" but surprisingly the Big Tall guy at the front desk was so Helpful; Funny; Polite... Explained everything with patience, usually places like this make women feel dumb like it's a mans job. Walked in a bit late but he didn't care kept helping me find what I needed and if he didn't have the answer he called people and gave me the answers right away. My Wife and I love Stone Yard... Here's why. Over the last several months we would wander in here several times to look at materials, get ideas, show the staff our sketches so they could help us figure out how much material we would need and then estimate the costs for us. The staff always remembered us and never gave us a hard time about coming in and not purchasing anything. They were always friendly and helpful. Finally we had a plan we were ready to execute and went in to select our boulders and purchase our materials. The staff listened to what we were looking for in our boulders and helped us maneuver around the boulder pile to get the ones that were just right. Boulders are hard because you never know quite what they are going to weigh and how that is going to effect the final price. We told them what price we were aiming for and they told us they would call with a final price after the weighing and work with us to get it in our price range. Sure enough two hours later we had the final weights and the price was on target. Then came delivery. They asked us what day and time we wanted for delivery, very accommodating. On the morning of delivery they called us to ask what order we wanted the material (we had several different types of stuff being delivered) dropped off, what we were using first etc. When the first delivery got to the house the driver worked with us to figure out where all the other materials should go to best help us install our new yard. As we worked over the weekend installing the yard the staff was always ready and happy to answer questions. Even when we called them from the Home Depot Tool Rental section to help us make sure we got the right tool to compact our decomposed granite. All of the advice was right on and turned out just as they described it would. read more

My husband and I needed several bags of rocks to dress a portion of our garden along the driveway. We found what we needed right away, but couldn't resist touring the entire lot. Even though it was near closing time, no one bothered us or tried to rush us out the door. This is a great place to get inspiration and ideas for your garden. All of the landscape materials are organized and neat. Even though we only needed a few bags of rocks, we were given a courtesy first time customer discount. The rocks blended in just fine with our existing rocks and the driveway looks great (pics posted). We will definitely be back again to find solutions for some of our other home and garden projects. Have to brag about our experience here at Stone Yard Landscape Center. Been looking to rent a pressure washer for our driveway. We looked online and visited a few other companies to rent a commercial pressure washer. We were surprised to have found this place. Not only were they full of rocks and stones, but also stocked with equipments for rent. A+ experience from the front office guys assisting us with the machine, to the staff showing us how to use and operate the unit. We were very happy with our rental, and most of all, we got the driveway nicely washed in 2 hours. The rental cost and our labor was less than 1/5 of how much we would have paid for a cleaning service. We will definitely come back here for other equipments to rent. Thank you! read more
