Place is great if you're just coming here to admire the way the cactus are staged in the pots. Other than that, they have a good assortment of succulents and cactus that are reasonably priced. For items without a price on the tag, they have charts with prices listed according to alphabet tags, except these are all pretty overpriced. Do your research before you come here. A lot of these cactus can be found cheaper elsewhere.

Parking is very rare in the lot (only about 4 spots available). Best to do street parking. The staff who work here are all so friendly and helpful. It seems to be a family business. There are sooo many options and varieties of plants and flowers offered here! There are also a lot of cool rocks to put in your pots and vases or front yards. I'm not much of a plant person but I love walking around here with my husband who is a plant dad. So much to look at and see and touch! Such unique plants.

Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. They didn't give a vibe of wanting me to buy everything. They provided information for newbie like me on how to get pot it up. The place was nice, clean, and organized. ALOT of varieties. They all look so healthy too. I got the soil, rocks, 4 different varieties of small succulents, saucer, and fertilizer. I was expecting much much more than what I paid for. The healthy quality of the succulents and all the things I got was for an affordable and good price. I was a little astonished by the total it came out.

I've been coming to this family-owned nursery more times than I can count, and every time it's a refreshing walk for inspiration to spice up your garden. There are plenty of rare and exotic cacti here that keep me drawn to this place. Every little stubby or long little fellow can be hard to find, and this community landmark have been delivering these cute plants for decades. The plants here are in top-notch condition, and the leaves and peddles look natural and pretty without any blemishes. The team here is filled with knowledge, and every one of the sisters was helpful in putting together a little California native succulents and cacti area in my place. Explaining their unique succulent and cacti soil mix here, Malinee usually runs the cashier table too, and her videos online are essential if you have any questions about succulent care here! If you need help repotting a prickly cactus, this place offers a reasonable-priced potting service as well!

I had been looking for a yucca whipplea plant and couldn't find it. California cactus center is pricey but decided to look there. I'm very glad I did. I found out that the whipplea flowers and dies after about 10 years. So, I purchased something similar...yucca long(something) from them. Similar look, but slower grow, and a better look. An 8 year old plant was $ 325...looks great in our drought tolerant yard.

    So many choices!

This cactus center is a dream come true for those who love succulents, cacti, air plants, and tranquility. There is something about the feel of this place when you walk into the center. Family run and owned since the 70's, one can quickly see that they are prideful in their work. I felt like treating myself today, but wanted to be certain that I could manage my purchases. The owners spent quite a bit of time with me answering questions and reassuring me that I am fully capable of nurturing these beautiful plants. They are knowledgable and very receptive to offering suggestions in regards to planting in the ground or keeping your purchase potted. In steps Bob. He planted two of my purchases at the recommendation of the owner. The owner helped me pick out the pots and led me to the mastermind. He did a great job planting my cactus / succulent and did it quite artistically using complementary rocks to finish the job. I couldn't be happier that I stopped by and checked out the inventory. It is all splendid. How much you want to spend is up to you, but it is on the pricier side. Many things are discounted if you buy more than one, just ask. I wish this family continued success as we are very fortunate to have them in our neighborhood.

If you're looking into becoming a succulent parent this is the right place for you. They are very welcoming as soon as you step inside & are always asking if you have any questions or need assistance with anything. This is also a family owned business. They have a variety of different plants you can chose from, especially from different parts of the world. Although some can be a bit pricey, you're paying for good quality as they do a excellent job in caring for them here. Their staff is also very knowledgeable so If you have any questions they are more then happy to help you. * Things to note, parking is limited inside so best place would be on the street.

Last summer I was searching for a bat flower & one nursery I called, claimed "no one carries them in Southern California because they can't grow here" ... which is laughable considering a lot of stuff isn't native here but still grows ! Anyways yes there was ONE bat flower plant left. It was quite pricey too around $110. I didn't buy since I have my own plant now (which hasn't flowered yet). I was a bit disappointed when I asked for help. I have been looking for an Egg Magnolia (Magnolia liliifera) which are very hard to find ! When asking the employee, she asked a colleague with her hand held radio. She tried a few times, but no response. She then showed me the very small selection of Magnolias they have - which wasn't much at all. I honestly didn't think she knew what an Egg Magnolia is. Really if you work at a nursery you should know more about plants, because from my interaction I could tell it was her first time hearing about this specific plant. If you're looking for rare plants, you may find what you're looking for. The inventory is quite vast & overwhelming. I suppose for an average person not looking for anything specific, this place would be lovely. I purchased an agave celsii nova for my front yard & a white rhino agave - 6" pot for around $80 which is a steal ! I have not seen them that low anywhere.

We got a very cute little money tree for $10 inside a cute pot! We went to another nursery and saw the same size trees/smaller than the ones at Temple for about the same price but sold without a nice ceramic pot, so this was definitely a better buy here. We also got this really cute little bamboo that was also sold within a nice ceramic pot for about $10. When we got to the register we saw the same bamboo in the same pot behind the register, but it looked healthier. I said to my boyfriend, "Do you think we should ask to get that one instead?" The cashier overheard and grabbed the nicer bamboo and got it ready for us! He even grabbed some of the stalks from the other bamboo plant we originally grabbed and transplanted it into our new pot to give us even more/make it look bigger and nicer. Again, he did all this without us even asking or saying anything so this was super nice!! They also have cheap pots here that are very traditional chinese looking with the painted flowers and birds. We bought a beautiful pot for only $9 here with a cute little drip tray that almost looked like a teacup saucer at restaurants. They also had some $3 small pots that would be great for succulents. The pots were kinda dirty and covered in spiderwebs, but honestly the price was good and they were still in great condition so i didnt care LOL They had some funny little animal pots too with frogs and elephants. This place was cute and affordable and the staff was nice to us, so id go back again! Just wish i had a yard so i could get some of these fruit trees! Parking was easy. They have a little lot, but the spots are a little tight. It wasn't an issue, though! They also take credit card here.

I was going to buy a couple of large mulberry trees and plant them in the front yard and he warned: "Don't plant it near the driveway or sidewalk...as it gets older, it is going to raise them!"
