My wife and I had a Residential Plant Program voucher we received from the Upper SGV Municipal Water District for drought resistant plants. We used up the entire voucher amount and more. Garden View Nursery has a lot of options from trees to bushes to flowers. We went back twice to try and make up our minds what we wanted to do. Great selection of all kinds of plants, flowers, trees, succulents and more. The staff was great offering us suggestions as well as helping us navigate how to ensure the plants grab on well once planted. We went with the Texas Ranger (not the baseball team, God Dodgers!) Shrub. We saw it along their Water Wise path and it has purple flowers. Called the nursery after we planted just to make sure we didn't over water them. I've been here several times over the past decade or so. Always impressed with the selection of trees and succulents, as well as pottery. Was here for a fig tree pruning demo one Saturday morning in early October 2025, about a week ahead of their annual tree sale . . . but I did find a Kadota fig in a #15 container that had my name on it and it was already on sale for about 30% off the regular price. SOLD! After it went dormant, I pruned it back in early December and took five growing-tip cuttings and stuck them in a small pot of Promix in my kitchen garden window, and four rooted and have now sprouted leaves! I will be uppotting them soon. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are moderate, and generally a bit higher than average. But the stock is well cared for and healthy. (I sometimes use their succulent prices to measure the value of the ones we have in our garden -- in the ground and in containers) Easy to get to off the 605 Fwy at Lower Azusa Rd. and easy to get back on the freeway again. read more

The plant selection is great - everything from one gallons to large trees. If you love plants you may enjoy walking the rows. They also have golf carts and can take you to look at the stock. The temptation to buy some many gorgeous plants and flowers are pretty heavy. They provide free carts for your items. I knew right away what I needed but there is a guidance map, huge signs and helpful staff to lead the way in almost every section. They even offer to help you with the heavier items if you can't do it. We got lost in the beauty of the roses. Mother's day is so close and I couldn't have thought of a better idea. My daughter definitely loved it. Felt like we were strolling through an orchard or a garden. The organization of their products give you so many ideas of inspiration for my own yard. read more

They sell tropical milkweed under the guise that it will help monarchs. It can actually destroy their populations due to a parasite it can be a host for. Use native milkweed species, you can find them with a google search. They sell it because it grows so easily- it's invasive. This means it's cheap to grow and sell and make a profit. Unethical sham. Dont trust places that do this and buy a native milkweed to feed monarchs instead of killing them. It is actually that serious. Please stop selling it and I'll take my review down. read more

I recently came here to purchase a good number of plants to spruce up my home because we are looking to potentially sell our home soon. Total came out to $1,600 including installation. The good: As a mom to two young babies (very strapped on time) and someone who has limited experience with plants, I was grateful to have someone walk me through the nursery and help me pick out plants. The convenience of delivery and installation also was really nice and felt reasonably priced for the convenience. Why I can't give more stars: After my install, I was concerned because the plants I had installed did not look like the ones I saw at the nursery. They were less full / vibrant. But I didn't make a big fuss because I wanted to give them a chance. I was told to call sooner rather than later if my plants weren't doing well because they were under warranty. In the coming weeks, some of my plants seemed to be withering and when I called back, my original sales rep was noticeably annoyed/dismissive as if I was being a nuisance for simply asking if what I was seeing with my plants was normal. It actually made me really sad. Up to that point, I was almost certainly going to use Garden View for my next home and was even thinking of exploring their hardscaping services, but that experience left me on the fence. It was as if the sales rep was nice to make the sale, but didn't want to deal with me beyond that and actually help / address my concerns. So just beware if you come here that may also be your experience, especially if you are a novice plant owner like me. Came off as pretty disingenuous to me personally. The other good part is that I was passed off to the general manager Ian who was WAY more helpful in actually addressing my concerns regarding my plants. And he arranged for a crew come by to take a look, and they were also lovely to deal with. Maybe I will update this review with more stars assuming all my plants bounce back and my investment was worthwhile, but that one sales rep was a bit of a bad apple. Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon around 4:50 to pick up St Augustine grass, to be told by an employee that they decided to close early for the day and couldn't help us. The employee lamented that it had been a slow day so management agreed to close early. We had been here before so we were disappointed in the overall lack of customer service. This nursery is pricer than others in the area, so there's that. We purchased several bushes from Garden View and they have been all good quality. This place is so much fun at the staff are so helpful. I bought a fig tree here and a couple of other fruits and vegetables that are all doing really well. The staff is super nice and they for sure did NOT feed me a bunch of fruit from the fruit trees before I bought a fruit tree because that would be against the rules. read more

Came here with the intention of finding cactus but the selection was very disappointing. They mostly only had golden barrels and some bigger sized cactus that are more suited for landscaping. No small cactus or succulents at all. Other than that this place is great for buying trees. They have all sorts of trees and a huge variety of fruit trees. I'd come here if I needed trees. read more

We purchased a beautiful spanish lavender that was 20% off as they were having a memorial weekend sale on certain plants listed. Love the clarity of each plant listed with info of its rarity and grown region. Purchased some neem oul & super thrive roo. I visited 2x this past week. I'm giving one star for well maintained plants and another for the wide selection of plants. It's the service that ruined my experience. The first time I asked for assistance there was 3 people there. 2 males and one female. The girl and younger gentleman answered my questions but the older man who looked like he may have been a supervisor stood there and stared, like the 4 questions I asked were stoopid and I was taking up their valuable time. Ok, I shrugged it off cause maybe it was just me and I was imagining things. I did not purchase anything that day because I wanted to do research on the plants I saw and liked so that I don't kill them when I plant them around my home. A few days later I went back and encounter the older Caucasian gentleman again. I asked him two questions and again it was the same holier than though attitude. So for sure I did not imagine it. After the short "are you dumb" response I decided this place did not want my business and left. I guess go if your a landscaper and already know what you want and don't have questions but if you're the average person wanting an expert to answer your questions and make recommendations skip this place. read more

I'm a long time customer. I recently visited and bought a lemon and lime trees. The customer service is great. This place is huge & they took me for a tour riding a motor cart toward the direction of the lemon & lime special tent. I'm happy with my lemon & lime trees that looked beautiful & healthy. I went to this nursery not knowing what I was doing but it didn't take long to get the kind of help I needed. Cole was such a blessing, from beginning to end. I explained to him what I was trying to do and showed him a few photos. I let him know that my yard gets a lot of sun, all day. That was all he needed to direct me as to the kinds of flowering plants that would work best. He helped me with my wagons, found more plants 'in the back' since I'd picked up all that were outside. Cole drove me around the nursery to pick up some rose bushes that he recommended which smelled amazing! Then, we picked out a couple of fruit trees too. Cole went on to help me load everything up in my car, laying out plastic bags to protect the interior of my vehicle. And...I did this twice, two days in a row. I was sure he'd be burnt out on me. But, nope. He was just as helpful, patient and pleasant as he was the first day. Cole has been a life-saver. I recently bought and had two box trees installed. After the crew left I realized that I wanted one of the trees moved several feet over. I called the office and talked with Alicia and Johnny who were very helpful scheduling the crew to move the tree. The next day the same crew arrived, Jose F. and J. Beteta, and expertly moved the tree with a helpful attitude. my go to place for plants. staffs were always nice and helpful. wide selection for my backyard dry garden designs. also got some special promotion flowering plants here that were very cheap. The front part of the nursery is more like a showcase and if you want to look at more selection they will take you on a golf car and drive to the back to see the inventories. got these two red flowering tea trees last time. the lady told me to be careful because the one she has in her backyard did not survive. the ones I got are still thriving and starting to flower this year after having them for more than six months, so I guess I'm doing something right! read more
